Again, this is why JYP prefers character than talent. Some people just putting their talents on their heads, even so JYP won't let them debut. JYP prioritizes Character and the passion to grow as a group, rather than being talented alone.

Yes! there are some groups where they treat each other like coworkers but I honestly see many JYP groups with real relationships that aren't faked.
In kpop now, character and personality and attitude is very important. Time has changed. Bullying was a big ordeal in kpop world so that led the kpop industry to change and choose wisely not only for talent but for character, attitude, and personality.

She worked with the a2k members and for her to disrespect them at the end is sad. I thought she had genuine relationships with the members . If she’s mad at the show and at the entertainment, then be mad at them. No need to go low and treat your a2k members this way. Sounds like Cristina got a lot of resentment going on and acting this way won’t take you far in the real world.

That’s all I know tho, I haven’t kept up with Yuna and Gina after that 🤷♀️

@@tacticalmisandrist FLO can only be compare to TLC and Destiny's child, could be the previous american girl groups also but not PCD nor Spice girls, as they don't have that much precision and synchronized dancing. Even PCD can't be compared to VCHA as there is only one lead vocal in the group and the rest is like back up dancers. Most of the western girl groups are more about vocals and being seductive, but there is less to none synchrony dancing. If the KPOP system gets showcased even more into west. this may change some music industry as it have already dominated the asian music industry.

Cristina was one of my faves on the show but now I don’t really know if I like her anymore. She was being shading towards vcha, likes all the rude comments about vcha then the next day she posts a video dancing the goty and tells people to stop hating and being shady towards them? She really doesn’t want to lose her fans, doesn’t she? Yuna and Gina were also shady towards the girls. This is why character and star quality played a big part in the show because if it didn't, we would have gotten a group full of rude people.

its so embarrassing how she is shading them when she AUDITIONED for the group 💀 the fact that she tried to act like their friends and that she was supporting them while doing this just shows how jealous and petty she is. i was genuinely rooting for her but now im definitely not.
I guess JYPE saw that her mom was too involved in her daughter's career, it'll be problematic later on. I remember her mentioning her mom was with her the whole time she was training in Korea.
I don’t think parents being involved is bad. She’s only 18, meaning she was most likely a minor during filming. This industry is known for overworking and exploitation of minors and younger idols. Parents should be involved to some degree.

if anyone doesn't understand why the original poster compared Flo to Vcha and Katseye it's because the Flo girls are very heavily trained vocalists whereas obviously kpop artists tend to be more performance/dance focused these days. Not exactly a fair comparison but yeah

@@KangHaerin1 Lara is an amazing singer with a beautiful mix, but her intonation and belting doesn't touch those girls. They're well rounded, powerhouse vocalists and whilst Lara isn't as strong, she's perfectly suited to Kpop (especially with her beautiful tone).

Something about her that just seems opportunistic and self centered. In her A2K interviews, I found the inconsistencies in her actions versus what she says to JYP and the Camera a red flag and as of now she is proving everyone right (Un-CEO-like to waste time like that for example). Anyways just my opinion, I like Vcha because they all seem like good folks and that's what the world needs more of right now, so pardon my attempt to defend them.

Crazy because I was rooting for her on A2K, this is disappointing. I know people hated on Kendall for getting the last spot because of JYP favortism, but at least she and other vcha members had sweet personalities...
I got no words for Cristina but what rubs me the wrong way was that one comment making fun of the friendship concept of VCHA. Backlash rightfully came when New Jeans deuted with Cookie bc half of them are minors. Now that JYPE is actually PROTECTING minors by 1. Not forcing them to wear revealing clothing 2. Giving them age appropriate songs ppl are making fun of it? Their songs are not targeted towards 25 yr olds who wanna hear love songs or s*xy songs and all that. Their songs are for young teenagers, and there's literally nothing wrong with that.

As a fan of A2K and now VCHA, I was so disappointed. It's true, I also see she's reposting something on Tiktok and first of all, I did not judged at all like maybe she's just accidentally clicked it bc it's gone now but there's so many evidences like her mother saying unnecessary comments that have different meaning about VCHA and also I kinda feel that she's still salty about being eliminated. Also, now I know why she didn't debut cause I'm JYPE stan and as much as I know, the character and attitude are the most important asset or requirement that they're finding to be part of the entertainment and to debut. No matter what talent you've got, if you have something off-vibes and bad attitude, you are really gonna be out. I just hope she just move on from it. If she really bitter on it, then stay out of it and don't use VCHA to ride and to gain attention. Lastly, it's hilarious how can she say all of that when in fact, like "thankfully I didn't debut on the group" something like that when she's also part of A2K, the audition process of it to debut a global group.
She's right that VCHA and Katseye aren't the same as FLO, because they arent supposed to be. They're diferrent groups with different concepts and audiences. There was no need to be shady with VCHA to make a point, I'm very disappointed to say the least, but it highlights why she didn't get much Character Evaluations. This was not needed.

Not everyone can fit in Kpop industry. Character, personality and talent are fundamental elements that they are looking for. Ofc, there is a reason why she didnt get pick. Simple.
I never really liked Cristina. At least from what we saw on the show she always had this air of "I'm better than you" toward everyone, and her RBF during several shots didn't help either. JYP has a long history of choosing character over talent if he can't have both -- dancing and vocals can be trained, intangibles like emotion and being a decent person are a lot harder. Just shows how right he was to not include her in the final lineup. Same with Gina (who never improved).
Gina biggest issue was emotion that set her back a ton I was also so suprised when she didn’t make it but looking back now I see it was very noticeable and obvious

FLO is a totally different vibe and are trained under different circumstances and ideas. FLO gives Destiny’s Child which is more R&B not Pop. FLO is good, but working in a group of 3 is different than working in a group of 5+. FLO doesn’t dance the way any JYP groups do or any HYBE groups. The comparison is completely irrelevant and makes no sense whatsoever.
This proves that JYP was right not choosing her.
Back during A2K, I already kept saying that there is something wrong with Christina.
And eventually the reason why she got booted was definitely trainers evaluations and not her abilities.
If you go back to her very first appearance at the audition in the US, JYP told her all her issues and when she walked out and met her mum, she told her yes it’s all good in a way like it is natural for her to be selected.
From then on I paid attention to her behaviour on the show hoping to prove that she was not what it seems, But lol

I know so many loved her but you really can sense her insecurity and low esteem in interviews. People like her aint bad but they are too emotinal and their inferiority complex easily fucks them up. I mean she wasnt as explicit about it like Christina was here but its just the odd release timing of her debut single and the lyrics that rubbed me the wrong way. Tbf I don’t think Christina fits VCHA’s concept… like VCHA gives girly, youthful, cute vibes. Not that Christina couldn’t pull that off (cuz we all know she could if she wanted to). But Christina gives me like girl boss, badass vibes. She radiates power. And not that VCHA doesn’t have that, but I think the dynamic is just different especially looking at the debut videos
I liked Cristina on the show but she never seemed like she would have fit in as part of a k-pop group.
I will say, I'm not loving how her and her mom are acting about the group - you were fighting for this. Even if you've changed your mind and are like "yeah k-pop isn't for me", it's soooo disrespectful to VCHA. I'm glad she didn't make it into the group.

This kinda struck me. I have trouble in socialising especially in group assignments, but not because I always want to lead. It’s because nobody else wants to lead or act their part in the group, I have no choice but to push myself and be like the bossy mom of the group. Nobody likes getting ordered around, I get it, but if I don’t tell them what to do, how to do it, nobody will start anything or think up of anything. VCHA seems like a great group where each member is equally committed, if I were working with such good people, maybe I wouldn’t need to be this way. 😢

Yall forget since da beginning. JYP said da character evaluation will play a part of be pick as well. In all his survival shows. He sometime prioritize good personality/character over talent. Some think being good is enough when for JYP its not. Lexi,Kendal,Savanna&Camila has always stay top 4 most voted by staff&mentors&other members(6months+ of evaluations). Its not surprising that Cristina, Gina&Yuna didnt debut. They're usually below the ranks.
Tbh i have a bad feeling towards her for the first time I saw her . And my kpop friends told to not judge so fast and everybody have different personalities and blablaba idc . I sometimes sound so wrong at first but I trust my senses sometimes. I always knew something wrong with girl even when at the end nothing seems wrong but still got that feeling. One day I saw her opening insta live and i get in I already knew who she truly is . I mena come on you don’t have to force yourself to be idols bc you thought it was cool or something being idol is not trendy thing to do . I already catch her vibe and i am not here for it . I felt disappointed at her and happy that jyp didn’t choose her .

this video is reading into it way too much… most of this feels like her OWN experience and why she’s glad she didn’t debut in the group there’s so much that does happen behind the scenes like her mother said. also comparing vcha or katseye to flo is actually crazy considering the talent level as well as the difference in genre. At the end of the day she’s just a human who has a right to feel the way she wants its not like she’s under jyp and she still supported the group at debut I even heard some of them are still friends and talk.
