Honestly. We should put a petition up to bring old shen back. Shen was SOO good before his rework. And sure, he's okay now cuz he still has tankiness his engage and ultimately. But what really took him to a diff level was the ranged poke that have you life steal, without that, it completely changed shen in a bad way. Now he's lame, and the visual effects of having a sword float around everywhere looks retarded also..
Damn Petu, you've really outdone yourself man, that video is a masterpiece, good story building, good naration, good music choices that really amplifies the emotions. Overall a 10 out of 10. I wish to see more videos like this one in the future !
Due to popular request, I am bringing my champion learning series back! I hope you enjoy this one, it certainly feels like some of the best work I've ever done on RUclips. And as always, hit me up with feedback if you have any!
"Nobody can play GP to full potential" is a weirdly comforting phrase in the context of this video. After so many games trying to master the champion and thinking he might be too distant from his goal, Petu learns that no one else has truely mastered GP. The "mastering GP challenge" might have been impossible from the very beginning, but it makes all those insanely good GP players a little more relatable and "reachable", in a "I can't master the champion, but I can still play like them" kind of way. Petu then continues to learn the nuances of GP and, at the end, gets a sick quadra and M7. Far from being a perfect GP player, as that'd be impossible, but satisfied with his own performance, as he should be.
This kind of "hero's journey" narratives are always a blast to watch. Reminds me of ymfah's challenge videos, where every lows and highs are highlighted. If you can maintain this quality for other champions you want to try, it would be a crime if the effort goes unnoticed.
This video felt very... mature? Especially for a League video. The thoughtfulness behind your work, the choices in editing (shout outs to PreComp Studio), and the quality of the interview help convey the sincere efforts to produce nothing but high quality content. This could have been such an easy meme video, but you really subverted the expectations other content creators have trained me to have and left me pleasantly surprised. Not because I believed this video would be of lower quality than your Shen-focused work, but because you have an uncanny ability to make each video feel like an "xPetu" creation.
I'm one of few people who call themselves an Azir main. It's hard to deny that the learning curve for him is pretty big, and I would love to see how you get over that. Azir top has been good for a while, you should definitely try him out.

I can't wait to see who's next, maybe Pantheon to truly become the man of toplane.
Hey Petu. I started playing akshan when you did the 7 day akshan challenge, I only played shen back then. I ended last season as top 5 brazillian akshan. Its nice when you see a player you like having fun with other champions, makes you wanna play them as well. Glad to see the series is coming back!
Massive respect for this video and the commitment for completing this challenge, man. You have always been my inspiration to play Shen. And now, you are my inspiration to try new things in life as well Thank you Petu, for being who you are

Perhaps other lanes/roles too if that's up your alley?
Bro this is an incredible video. Great storytelling, pacing, and editing! I was enthralled. Also GP is way more complex than I ever knew. Blew my mind with the triple passive thing.

Let me guess... Midlane "Main", "Faker, what was that?!" fanboy, you think Darius, Sett and Illaoi are broken, and you tilt if you are not the one who is carrying the game
Gangplank is 100x harder than zed. Every zed plays the same, and you can master him in about 50 games. Maybe not challenger level master, but you'll have him down enough to be able to basically carry any game all the way up to diamond. I started with nidalee and Lee sin, and then tried zed and found out it was significantly easier than nidalee was, even tho he LOOKS harder and more crazy, it's actually not that hard

I'd love to see you learn Cassiopeia, i used to main that champion when i just started playing, i did not understand that you can spam her e, so her dmg seemed really underwhelming. However i still loved her and tried my best to learn, when i had the basics, no one in low elo knew what to do against a fed Cassio, it was really fun, but today I suck ass at playing her so it would be am honor to see you master her
i’m a bard main. try bard. super fun, has 3 spells that do literally zero damage, and his main damage spell is tiny and only stuns with angles. very different from every champ in the game. ult can hit your own team, portal can be used by enemy team.
I think most of the difficulty of learning a champ resides on it being something that suits your playstyle and a kit where you can visualize the perfect use off every skill. After i mastered GP, i felt like i could extract more from each champion, because the matchups in toplane made me see that the playstyle can change (Poke, Fighter, even tank) and made me think how to adjust to every situation i was on. I love playing with massive tanks on the frontline, like Sion and Ornn for example, they were easy to understand and execute, but with some champs like Samira or Vlad, i'm just a dead weight. So once again, playstyle and the kit.
Just wow. Great content Petu!! Btw, have you thought about Pantheon, being actually the same champion as Shen but on the more offensive side? ;p Kinda like a Shen assassin from a different continent hehe
i recently heard about phantom barrel so i went to try it, found out personally that casting q away from max range makes buffering the e when q animation much easier

From creation perspective, great video, rlly well made, keep up the good work. One of the most enjoyable league content out there.
i stopped watching xpetu some time ago because i lost the MotivaShen to play shen but i started watching you again and i love that this is the video i come back to
Every upload Petu helps me fall in love with League all over again!
I'd love to see you learn Cassiopeia, i used to main that champion when i just started playing, i did not understand that you can spam her e, so her dmg seemed really underwhelming. However i still loved her and tried my best to learn, when i had the basics, no one in low elo knew what to do against a fed Cassio, it was really fun, but today I suck ass at playing her so it would be am honor to see you master her
A series of this would be sick. Although I honestly don't think you can master K'sante, he has some crazy potential and cool hidden mechanics
I love exaplanations of Petu, defenitely one of the best in the world!
Really dope stuff!
👏
i’m a bard main. try bard. super fun, has 3 spells that do literally zero damage, and his main damage spell is tiny and only stuns with angles. very different from every champ in the game.
ult can hit your own team, portal can be used by enemy team.
He promised and delivered. I can't wait to see the full gameplay videos!!!
Just wow. Great content Petu!! Btw, have you thought about Pantheon, being actually the same champion as Shen but on the more offensive side? ;p Kinda like a Shen assassin from a different continent hehe
xPetu. It's time for the UDYR and you know it. I have full belief that you will master him in no time.
Maybe turn it into a series? LOVED the storytelling, and as a former gp one trick you had my attention
Congrats my friend, thats so impressive!!!!
i recently heard about phantom barrel so i went to try it, found out personally that casting q away from max range makes buffering the e when q animation much easier
