Another great review. How many of these repointers have you reviewed and which in your opinion is the best in terns of efficiency and value for money ?
Great job as usual! Two things- First, what dart did you repointed? Looks a bit like RVB80, but I don't think it's any of the Target ones. And the second- is there a place whereI can get t-shirt like yours?
Great review! I purchased this but had a few issues straight out of the box. The supplied bar did not fit through the pre drilled hole in the handle and more importantly as I was using black storm points they were damaged in the process with some of the costing removed. Have you had any issues with damaging the points aesthetically? Cheers
Thanks! I think all the tools have the potential to mark the points but with coated points it will possibly scratch the coating, not a lot can be done but one thing I do which helps is to wrap a thin strip of paper round the point so when its clamped in place the paper protects the point if you get what I mean :)
I like the look of the repointing tool by Mission darts. I am planning on buying a new one as the Designa repoint tools is not performing well when trying to pull out points as well. would you say this is one better to use instead ?
I have been using the designa repointing too for quite some time now. I really like it a lot. This is damn near the same thing, I am envious of the wallet for the tool tho. I want that wallet lol.
Pretty close to what I already have but damn it man it comes in a case that just adds the extra very cool Factor this is what I think target missed out on I know they're all this that and the other thing and I use their darts but they could have went this route people love swag thanks Darren very nice
My repointed is very similar to the mission one.. sometimes I get marks on the points, looks like it's slipped in the clamp. I'll have to try tightening in more when I clamp the point. 🙈
Yeah I think its impossible not to get some kind of mark on but there is a fine line between having not enough to stop it moving and having too much that the force of clamping causes a mark, just practice really :)
Hi mate, I need to invest in a new repointing tool and am wondering how good this one really is? I'd had a designa one before and the design for both seems extremely similar, however the designa one sometimes utterly refused to remove the points lol
Well its similar so I guess if you had problems before its possible you might again, there is many tools that have this kind of design though so may be best to try one of the other designs, problem is they tend to cost a lot more.
@@DartsReviewChannel Nice one cheers, think I'm gonna eventually go for the Target one, it's way more expensive but it's what I see shops like A180 using 😀
@@thecawmaster9892 I guess it really depends how often you will use it, if you think it will get a lot of use then the more expensive one should in theory be better :)
Can you remove the point? If so it may be best to file it a bit thinner, sounds like it's too big for the hole but kind of hard to be sure without seeing it in person.
@@DartsReviewChannel sorry I mean the stock points that came in the darts do not want to come out, I've had other sets and they have been no problem to remove points but these boxers seem like they have been set somehow,
@@1995MCKNIGHT Ah got ya. Yeah Harrows are often in very tight. Could try wrapping something around the points and tighten it with it on. Maybe some thin card or if you have some a thin piece of leather or chamois leather cloth. Other than that the only other thing I can think is to try to make the point cold and the barrel warm, so the barrel expands a little and the point contracts, not sure how easy it will be to do that though.
My one came today and what a great piece of kit, very compact and so easy to use even for me. All these great reviews seem to make me broke 😁 look forward to more in 2020.
Also I can't get the thread out, I've undone the very small screws but that's stuck aswell, not impressed at all with the quality, the silver screw that goes on to the bar keeps coming loose aswell🤬

Can't remember what brand mine is but it's essentially the same just some minor machining difference. Great tool and the best way to change points!

Does it work with any dart?

My Dart Training is good
Many thanks. What is your view on the Russ Bray and Darts Scorer apps?
not used them but the look fine
Just bought this repointing tool since my lovely Target Daytona Fire DF04 points broke :( I hope this tool will help me out!
I have a mission darts R point expert repointing tool. Can you show how to repoint a one80 reflex point adapter. Thank you
Hmm, not sure its possible to re-point those adapters, maybe it is but I have never tried it.

Hi, have you tried the Kaypart repointing tool? It's similar to the others but very well made and much easier to handle.
No not tried that, will Google it
@@DartsReviewChannel The thread that goes into the back of the barrel is a separate piece that just slots in, making it easier to insert the dart.

Can you use the tool for any dart you want, or is the tool just for darts from unicorn or Target or Anything Else?
any dart
Ok Thank you
I have one of these. It's super easy to change points, impossible to mess up really.
Yeah its really easy, similar to the Designa one I reviewed before but just a little better with the T bar handle addition :)

That's a good machine. Does a good job.
It does :)
Can i re point every darts point whit this
As long as they are normal darts then yes
More work than the Target SWISS points, but still the way i would repoint my stuff.Fair price i think.
