for anyone who doesn't know Charged Cycle Works, their hands down the most reliable source of info regarding sur rons and most definitely the best online sur ron shop. You guys are the GOATS!
It was super fun racing our KTM Freeride Superminis with you guys. Brett rode a brilliant race. The track was a bit tight, as we usually run on the main track at GH, but it made for great racing. Def get the overheating sorted for the next time- it gets well over 100deg in summer!
Nate...Thanks for taking the time to help me dial in the x9000 last night.. She is amazing now. Look forward to getting my fork upgrade and more from you. BTW raced looked like a ton of fun thanks for sharing.
Brett is dying to have a more technical track to race on, he felt this one was too easy and wide open. It's tricky, MX tracks are way too big for the surron, pit bike tracks are too small and easy and we're working with track's to figure out a good compromise. Some day we'll get there! However this was the best track we've ever competed on so far for the Surron so it's a step in the right direction.
Great video, would be nice to see a little bit of incline in the track 👍🏻 Also be interested to know the settings you ran on the BAC4000? phase amps, kw, motor temp limit & field weakening % ??
Not sure if that got posted anywhere but I believe it went like this: 1st KTM Mod Freeride, 2nd Brett Surron, 3rd KTM Mod Freeride, 4th KTM Mod Freeride, 5th Surron, 6th Brian on Gold Member, ...
not yet, no good option on the market at the moment. The EBMX X-9000 controller is pre-wired for a water pump, just waiting for a motor that supports it. We talked to the KTM Freeride crew and they have only overheated the liquid cooled KTM's one time. We are certainly looking forward to liquid cooling when the products are ready.
We aren't sure yet what overheated, more to come on that, we need to replicate it in a non-race setting where we can have some instrumentation hooked up and see temps. The BAC4000 and KO Nano bikes with OEM motor also overheated...to be expected while racing, nothing new there.
@@ChargedCycleWorks what power settings? Oem power harness and plugs arnt good for continuous high power. I feel anything over 600 phase and 13+kw is just asking for trouble. But that’s some serious power for long long time and it’s a lot of stress so it did good either way
The kind of video you describe takes a lot more resources to create, we would need an entire film crew blanketing the track DURING the race. Nice goal for the future, but that's not within our budgets today. :)

Awesome racing with your crew! It was a treat to see a Freeride race at that level. We may have to do the 16/19 treatment to ours :)

Looks like a blast! Nice turnout for an electric class.
Awesome! Cant waite to get my suron out on the dirt! Just ordered the EBMX 74v from you guys, super stoke to see how it performs.
Pretty soon they’re gonna have to make these tracks more technical and challenging for these mod bikes! Nice vid boys🤝🏽🔥

What bike is 416 riding? Was that a Freeride?
Yes, Ktm Freeride Supermini Built by Dirt First Racing
Are your modded motors water cooled ?

Range with this track?
8 laps used about 25-30% battery for the faster riders on 72v 42ah batteries. This was a small pit-bike style track.
A x9000 overheating a motor? Sounds familiar.

Way too much first person cam view. Its so much better the frw seconds ee get to see actual racing

I guess they are fun to ride? But they are very boring to watch! Maybe AI will enjoy them?
