@Rogue Engineer it's not about the textures, it's about the orientation of the car, for example look at minecraft, it doesn't render the faces of blocks that aren't visible
@@therealpatriot_9685 Rendering a face, and rendering a mesh with more than 2 tri's creates a performance difference. It is about both the textures and the polygon. The guy said, switch texture. Each texture has its polygons adjusted according to it, if we switch texture, the adjustment of polygon remains the same, which can cause a problem for our users
A big problem with forza is they don’t update their models once they have made them. So there is loads of models still in fh5 from FM3 and FM4 which came out in 2011
And FM3 from 2009, but i know you know.
Honestly though, despite that they still somehow managed to outdo NFS models 🥴

They do not react to the drivers, that was a preset animation. Although the devs did do a good job at making them seem to react to you at some points.

I understand that games need to be optimized for maximum performance but why in 2023 do games still have low poly/low detail textures in the primary things the players interact with. I can understand putting low detail in things like out of bounds buildings or constructs but anything that the player can clearly see and interact with should at least be of quality.
Not if it's a racing game where you pass through the objects at very high speed, too much detail and granularity can have a worse impact on visual clarity and performance.
The fact is that these games are high speed car games and not detail games and even though we are in 2023 the optimization is still the same due to the fact that consoles and video cards cannot handle it

No it dosemt?? They litterly implemented a new suspension model for all the vehicles and if you properly played the game and tuned again properly you would know that

Unbound is a PS5/Xbox Series exclusive while Horizon 5 runs on the old Xbox One which has a mare 1.3TFlop GPU and it's still an absolute beauty. Amazing optimizations by the developers.
People don't appreciate the small details considered to optimise games until it doesn't hit 60fps, then its a bad game.

To be fair, I think NFS has slightly better details. But Forza is better in other things, such as the working odometer clock in the car. Still, Forza Horizon 5 remains my favorite
