Fantastic collection.
Thank you for taking the time to share.
Really enjoyed this, sorry its taken a while to actually comment.
Thank you and I hope you keep making vids.
Best regards,
TGV
The Urban Gentry Thanks, it is really quite the adventure. Enjoy your video's as well. Hope you enjoy the holiday.
Beautiful 6105! I have a 6309 that I bought in 1981 and has never been serviced but still keeps perfect time. Great collection. I'm drooling as I type. :)
I am fortunate in that I am able to collect many of the watches that I like and so now have a collection that includes AP, Cartier, Blancpain, Hublot and Patek.
I began with a cheap watch my Father bought for me when I was young and fell in love with it and had no idea about horology or brands that mean the World to me now.
When I see collection (and collectors) like this, it takes me back to those days and the passion that was born.
A few great pieces here and aside from the hommage types, that personally I think are a waste, the beginnings of a nice compilation are being born.
Good luck and don't rush it.
Very nice collection. Thanks to videos like yours and TGV I see that collections evolve. The more knowledge you acquire, the more focused you become to having goals and ultimate pieces. I'm nowhere near your number of pieces, but I am really enjoying it. I have two Steinhart watches myself, but unless they come up with something really outstanding, I'm now saving for my Rolex Submariner 116610 (Hulk). Have fun!
Thanks for a great comment and glad you find value. I think it is important to see how collections evolve and agree that it is interesting to see how things change the more you learn.
I think that you really have a good collection I really like all of them the seikos are great especially the ones you plan to exit out very nice thanks for sharing I really appreciate it.
beautiful pieces
i wish i enjoy as much you do the leather and nato straps.. but i just can't feel they...
for this reason my favourite watch in your collection is the pelagos what A BEAST!!!
great video.
Great collection! Very very nice...10/10!
what a great collection..... one of my favourites..... wish I could afford some of these
Very nice collection. I love the cases!
great collection, lots of interesting and diverse pieces
Alan D Thanks, I like having some diversity and although I have worked on downsizing a bit for now I have worked to keep that diversity!
Great collection! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome collection. Love it. Wish I could afford some of the higher end pieces as the majority of mine are entry level. I'll get there one day. Keep them coming though. Great inspiration!!
It took awhile to get a few higher end pieces. You will definitely get there one day. But remember there are plenty of special pieces at the lower end too, enjoy them plenty too! Thanks for watching and the comment!
Yes...I do enjoy them quite a bit. Thanks for the feed back and by-the-way......thanks for your military service. I'm an Army veteran myself.
Word of advice my friend, think about focusing on quality rather than quantity. There’s a reason some watches are $200 and some are $12,000. I’m not saying you need to spend that much but I think you get much more enjoyment and satisfaction out of two very good watches than twenty mediocre ones. The real deal watches also retain so much more value than the cheap ones which will soon become effectively worthless in most cases. 😉
Took some time to collect!
Im busy too, got an Rolex datjust 116234 blue dail and romans.
For my 18th bday
Now i'm trying to get the new daytona that rolex released at Basel World, with the cerachroom bezel.
Keep collecting !
Great review of the collection. Really like the squale, great looking watch, definitely one that is on my radar as well. Hope that you will post a review of the new CW trident when you get it. I Really like the red bezel with the white face.
Very nice Steinhart collection the sandwich dial on the uhr b is awesome. Keep the great vids coming!
Very nice; you have some really nice timepieces there! While I love the watches themselves, your reasoning for each watch and how it fits your personal theme impressed me most. I pick my watches the same way, and they are arranged into sub-collections, as well. I have big wrists (8-5/8 inch circumference, 79mm wide), and not NEARLY as much money to spend on timepieces as you, lol, so my collection differs greatly from yours- as much by necessity as by choice... But that's just one aspect of the beauty of this hobby: it supports all types of interests and al types of budgets. That Steinhart Apollon is truly awesome, and right in the lower size range that fits me perfectly. Thanks for the great video. Subscibed.
What is the model number for that Seamaster? Great stuff by the way. You’ve got me thinking about a Tudor now.
Amazing watch collection. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, you're looking at spending a fair bit of money in the future! Great collection so far. I can't believe you wanna get rid of the Squale, this is the one I really want to get next and as for your Pelagos, I'm really jealous, ever thought of getting the blue one with the stack of writing on the face? Do you have a price in mind for the Squale? I see you're keen on getting some more military or flieger style stuff, ever thought of getting a Sinn or Damasko ? Page and Cooper in the UK might be worth a visit. Anyway, good to see your collection, you have a great taste in timepieces!
Your watch collection is stunning. I really like your taste in time piece's. I would love to own one or two of those well made automatic time piece's. I live on a limited income,so my collection is mediocre, but the ones I have in my collection. I did my home work on each and everyone. I own a Orient Mako II XL automatic in the orange dial, a SEIKO SSC017P2 with the blue accents a SEIKO SNN231P2, two Casio G-Shocks GW-9400-3CR and Casio G-Shock GW-9400-1CR and a few other G-Shocks. I really want to up date my collection with a little more nicer piece's. I do like my collection a lot. It may not be like yours or some one lots of money, but Its my taste and I think my up date will happen soon. Great job on this video.
Great collection. The tudor has done it for me😂
Con Trantalis it is really such a well done watch
Love the squale 50 atoms....it's on my radar! Nice to see a fellow veteran on here.
Amateur Watch Collector The 50 atmos is great and definitely worth a look. It is always good when we find others who have found passions to share, I think that helps us stay rooted in the world around us too.
Agreed!! I love seeing fellow service members with a passion for watches and other gentlemanly things
Looks like you forgot to present us a watch... The one on your wrist! Nice collection, some are real beauties to my taste. I enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing
I'm commenting a bit late on this video, and you may very well have changed a lot to your collection since this video, but I'll leave a couple words.
Very nice collection and well thought out. And the range is great.. From really affordable to some high-end luxury. No prejudices or snobbery, it seems whatever you like you go for and that's really all that matters, in the end, is what you enjoy.
I agree, that Tudor Pelagos really is a great alternative to a Submariner.. in some ways, it's sort of better without cracking the bank as much.
Also, love Steinhart watches. They make great high quality homage watches.. My thinking is if you're going to make an homage watch, make it really good that does the original inspirational piece proud and not a cheap knock off. Steinhart definitely makes them good, and they mix up a good number of them a bit so they are not so exact in design replication.. and as you have also shown, they have some original designs, too.
I am amazed by not only the build quality and attention to detail, but the movement they put into their watches perform excellently. 3 out of 3 I've owned, they all kept accurate time and get +1 to +3 secs per day.. most often +1 or +2, but the thing is it really holds the time throughout the day after the initial slight acceleration in the time when I first wear the watch in the morning.
Glad to hear of your experience with Mr. Steinhart himself. I hear he's very approachable and is open to talking to customers and watch enthusiasts.
And, since you like the Rolex Batman GMT, AND you like Steinhart, by this time you may be aware of Steinhart's Titanium 500 GMT that is basically like the Batman, but Steinhart's own twist. It is no 100% replacement or substitute for the Rolex if that's what you really want. But, in some ways, I think I like the Steinhart more because it's different (A LOT of people go for the 1:1 Batman look, if not the Pepsi), super affordable considering the alternative, and it's one of the rare GMT style watches of this general particular style that also has a full lume GMT bezel so you can actually read your other time zone(s) in the dark.. where as all other homages, including Rolex itself, does not have that and only a lumed GMT hand, which I think is sort of useless in the dark if the GMT bezel does not glow also.
Speaking of the lume, I think it may fall not that far behind the Pelagos in visual glow effect.
Lastly, I think Laco is a great flieger watch to consider. IWC is considerably more expensive, Stowa isn't bad (but I think a lot of people get those), and I forget who the other 2 original 5 flieger makers are.. But, going back to the Laco, hard to decide on A or B dial.. I would feel compelled to go with B because A LOT of people also commonly go for the A dial. Sure it's cleaner, but sometimes I think too plain. That's why I would gravitate towards the B dial version.
Additionally, I like the fact that Laco has versions of their watches which come with that rustic, worn and patina look right out of the box, No one is the same the way it's been "conditioned" the way it is. Sure, it's not exactly true vintage from WW2, but they do it really nicely and they get a pass on creatively making a watch look more vintage than it may actually trully be since they are one of the original flieger watch makers. They can most certainly play the role authentically.
Anyways, sorry, this got kind of long, just wanted to show my admiration of your collection in this video, I'm sure it's evolved.. probably should look up to see what your state of the collection is more recently.
Wow, I never saw the Steinhart pilot before, that's nice.
Nice watches. Not a lot of diversity in the divers row. Aside from the color, they are all very similar. Then again, I guess that's what catches your eye. If I had to pick one diver from your collection, it would be a tossup between the CW GMT and the Pelagos. My collection is limited to five pieces, each having their own use case (I don't like a lot repetition): Seiko SKX009 (moded with a 12 hour bezel/miltat metal band), Glycine Combat Sub, Citizen Atomic World Timer, Glycine Base 22 black dial, and lastly a Seiko Presage SARX033.
Jay Zenitram all shit.
That's ok. You're entitled to your opinion. I like them.
Jay Zenitram Those are all great picks my friend. I admire your taste in watches! I myself have recently picked up a glycine combat sub and absolutely love how badass it is.
Great collection and video overall. But dude, if you want to call yourself a gentleman please clip your nails... It looks very bad.
+Tom Saint I second that.Real gentlemen don't have dirty nails!
some people have very thick nails, some have nails like a girl. men with nails like a girl can keep them trimmed well. people with think dog nails can never get them trimmed close or well. so he can be a gentleman and have bears claws.
John Beasley no, there is no excuse for making a video showing that your personal hygiene is highly suspect, any self respecting girl would tell him to fuck off with nails like those!
Cut them or paint them bro 😎
Tudor Pelagos Blue is on my wishlist:)
Nice collection, of course the best one is the pelagos ;)
A nice rolex 16040 will be perfect to add in your collection
karamazov75015 When it comes to Rolex I have to say the two that sing to me the most are the Sub ref. 5513 and the GMT Master II BLNR.
The Ham Khaki Field is a timeless and gorgeous piece
Hey great collection, can you link to the watch box?
The vintage turtle is fire
hi i really enjoyed this video and you have something in your collection ive got my eyes on for a couple of mos now. and that's the hamilton khaki. but cant decide what size to pick can you tell me how big is your wrist? i have 6.5inches and i dont have problem even wearing uboat size watches but i want to try on small ones but dont want it too small. so what you think is better 38 or 42mm thnx :)
cool collection, and thank you for your service! Sgt!
+jjlwis Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
awesome collection dude!
Nice collection!!!
that Pelagos is gorgeous great collection,🕵️👌
Great collection, a lot of divers but quality ones. (Personally I like the ward a lot more than the Squale in the mid tier divers. I really like the look of the 38mm red/white Ward...please do make that unboxing video)! Any reason why you changed the bracelets on all the watches? And the pelagos...well that's just an kick ass watch! Stay away from Rolex, you really do not need one for your collection (other Rolex owners always say you need one). I would advice a luxury dress watch tho...(maybe vintage?). That white Steinhart on the bracelet is the one I had been looking after before getting the Aramar.
Guideaux Pelagos btw, that EP looks familiar. ;-)
Guideaux Pelagos I definitely have a lot of diver and I want to even that out. I will definitely do an unboxing of the Chr. Ward, I really like what they are doing as well. That will stay while the Squale will go. I really like the white Steinhart, it is by far one of my favorites that they do! The only Rolex I know I will get at some point is the GMT Master, any others aren't necessary for me. It is funny you mention the dress watch because I actually just found a used one I wanted that you know very well and ordered it (since I'm just a few months from 30). Will make a nice gift to myself. I also have another special Chr. Ward dressier watch (although large) that I ordered and we will see if it fits ok. Johnny Casual has got me motivated to get my main/core collection down to 10 or less right now and see how that goes. Thanks for watching!
Keep up the good work man.
i learn something new today, now i want a ocean 1 or 2 watch ..your ocean 2 diver is the one i want haha..
Great Video with great content ! Congrats !
Like the Pelagos... I'd prefer blue. But any diver watch collection need a sub or dweller sitting atop.
hey man could you possibly tell me what chronograph is for? what exactly does it measure?
STAIND12300 a chronograph is a fancy word for a stop watch...you usually have a sweep second hand, a sub dial for minutes and another sub dial for hours....that’s it, they became popular amongst race car enthusiasts in the 1960’s.
Nice collection, a Grand Seiko would fit right in to your collection.
Regards.
Connell
The Tudor and Omega kick butt....
You don't need a Rolex, your collection is unique, your #1 luxury watch is the Omega, which differentiates you as a gentlemen of style and taste. The Tudor is my fav, next to the Omega.
My FAVORITE collection so far... 80% of my dream watch collection on your top row..
If I didnt have a Rolex Sea Dweller, I'd have the Tudor Pelagos and would never take it off.
You could switch to the Tudor and still have money left. So where is your problem?
Nice collection.
That Steinhart looks almost like a Stowa Seatime.
Where do you get them from
nice collection!
ignore the haters - you have some nice watches in there - possibly too many (well not possibly - definitely) but every collector is different - the core of your collection should be your promotion celebration ones plus the Pelagos and the Omega. I'm sure some of the others will come and go but keep enjoying them. COme take a look at my own collection on my channel and subscribe if you can - it used to be 54 watches but has reduced to 16 now (well 19 actually - 3 in the post lmao).....let me know what you think.
Cool video and I love the Tudor. Thanks for serving in the armed forces.
That camera angle is niiiiiceeeeee
of all your watches. the square one is the best looking.
You need a Rolex Sub. Otherwise, great beginning collection.
Locutus D'Borg I hope to have a ref. 5513 at some point
every fking kid and their moms have a sub, have some originality pls
No he doesn't! If he went swimming at the ocean, his nails would be perfectly clean! He needs a city dweller watch collection, or 2 watches wisely chosen. LETS REMIND PEOPLE! To be considered a 'collector' you MUST BUY 3 units of THE SAME WATCH MODEL. If you only have 1 of each, different model and different brands, YOU'RE A CONSUMER/DESTROYER of the watch. You are NO COLLECTOR! Cause you have bought in enough QUANTITY! You've gotta buy 3 of EVERYTHING YOU BUY.
You didn't buy in enough quantity. You're ACTUALLY consuming 8 watches. Once you realise you've gotta buy 3 of each, you'll then radically change WHAT YOU BUY AND HOW YOU THINK about everything to do with watches.
nice collection
You need a ORIS diver 65 has the quirky face that catches your eye
If that were my collection I'd wear nothing but the Pelagos.
That 6105 tho.... Damn
Why does everyone have the same watch collection? There are thousands of different watches on the market.
Nice
Should prob clean those nails up a bit sir.
Great collection not sure about the christopher ward just need a Rolex now.
What you essentially have here is a collection of watches that pay homage to the submariner but no Rolex Submariner. My advice to you, sell them all and buy yourself a submariner. There is literally no point to having all these watches; they all lok the same and none of them are the real deal. I'm just saying you should buy the submariner because I assume it's the style your into but if you want something even nicer you might want to look into the cheaper Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks or maybe a Patek Philipe Nautilus, though selling your entire collection won't even get you halfway there.
Interstellar Lapis & the CCCP pretty sure he knows he has choices
Interstellar Lapis & the CCCP I would honestly have his collection over a submariner any day. Unless you only collect as an investment and are going to resell it in the future there is no point in not enjoying the variety that is out there.
Interstellar Lapis & the CCCP You do know not every watch is a submariner clone?
Anyone ever tell you that you kind of look like Eddie Van Halen's younger version..... just sayin' Nice collection btw.
Subscribed
I had no idea Jim Carrey collected these watches
Sub would be superfluous at this stage, I'd wager.
Nice collection of shitters fella !
nice collection but why dont you save money and get a really good piece instead of getting alot of average ones
He has a limited budget and enjoys his watches. You and I probably don't get it - I'd also rather have 1 Rolex than all of this - but I can see why he enjoys it. And whilst they may not have much monetary value, some of those are really nice. BTW, the Steinhard finishing is pretty rough :S It's nearly Chinese clone grade, they could have at least polished the yellow parts.
ASFDAFSDF sDFGSDFSDF ya the pelagos is just so average eh?
dont get rid of the orange monster....
Sell your watches and buy a nail clipper bro. Holyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Try face to face camera view.It will be cool.
Squale is nicest
divers watches on a leather bracelet???? nice collection
The Steinhart Apollon makes a Rolex Sub. look like a dinosaur and a complete ripoff.
this guy fancy old technology watch. he havn't learn and havn't grow up yet.
Swap your Tudor Pelagos for the upgraded model with in-house movement - yes, awesome watch. As for the rest of your collection, your horrid looking fingernails look better.
Champagne problems lol
Nice video! Check out the review I made
jj
Man that is the ugliest collection I have ever seen.. Orange and colorful bands? a tudor watch? might as well put another 1000 down and got a rolex instead of that
Behnam Ghane Ya , but then he'd be stuck with the ubiquitous Rolex
Behnam Ghane do respect other's people collection!! You like rolex so put your thoughts on your self. Do not put down others. If u do not like his video, don't watch it.
and you need to learn how to respect my opinion about some watches and learn how to mind your own goddamn business
and you need to learn how to respect my opinion about some watches and learn how to mind your own goddamn business
How about you do 1 basic thing. You workout why colour is used to ornament objects. Then decide which colour you want to be decorating your image. The seiko is NOT well designed! It's ODDBALL design! Don't buy a watch which predates YOU! None of these watches suit your image. Not 1! You've got to take your divers watch TO THE OCEAN and get it in the waves to REALLY SEE HOW THE DESIGN ORNAMENT really works. In full sunlight and under the water in low light conditions. You haven't even seen an ocean yet! You shouldn't even have a BLACKENED WATCH DISPLAY CASE MATERIAL! Cause the OCEAN IS BLUE! Your divers watches are to be seen with a blue ocean background. Just buy the city dweller watches instead. What you want on your watch is GREEN AND ORANGE! But you haven't realised that yet.
horrible video, horrible collection. Had to put speed of the video on 1,5... stopped after 5 minutes
you have all these high end watches and your hygiene is deplorable..goes to show money cant buy class
Hans Schoepflin except these are not high end watches, they’re barely out of low end watches in reality....and some of them are junk grade!
Doug M true that lol
they all just look like fake rolexes lol
