Oh, for sure. That sudden but subtle music change had me pausing to blink away a tear and read the description in it's entirety.
That pickaxe artifact is a touching tribute, glad to see TFC honoured like this. May his memory live on forever!

I couldn’t tell if it was for Scar or Zedaph, due to how many times Z dies for his experiments, especially all the unique deaths that he gets

Tango is quickly becoming my favorite hermit to watch this season, the excitement that he has for Decked out just makes everything so enjoyable, also the s tier intro song
He is contagiously enthusiastic, I love his videos!
And guess what happened with me. Decked Out made me fall in love with Tango's vibe back in Season 7 exactly :D
you should make the heart skip a beat (randomise 5-20 pulse)! this should freak the hermits out more due to them getting used to the heartbeat rhythm
What if it coincided with an increase in hazard or clank?
And heavy or irregular breathing! Like a gasp if clank was added and the player realized they did something wrong.

I'm a big fan of the mug artifact. As a D&D DM I can confirm that drinking from our mugs can cause confusion and chaos.
Also "An Old Friend's Pickaxe"... I wasn't expecting to tear up watching this
I concur. As a fellow D&D DM, the subtle details can tell the biggest stories.
And yeah, An Old Friends Pickaxe is incredible. Especially after the stream yesterday, I am missing those we have lost

Me drinking from mine is always a cause for concern for my players, usually mean I gotta describe something or combat soon. Sometimes I do it to mess with em.

An Old Friends Pickaxe is a nice tribute. Never forgotten.
Favorite has to be a toss-up between the Multi-Grain Waffle, or the Old Friend's Pickaxe. You officially hit everyone in the feels with that.
Ok, I also cried at TFC's artifact, but xB's is my favourite. The Aw-Yah and giggling is so iconic
Maybe to make sure hermits have the right audio level setup, you can make a demo sound room in the enterence with the jukebox playing so they remember to adjust their volumes before the game

@@ethanchalmers9940 TFC was known very well for his extensive strip mines he would likely help the other hermits with the sheer amount of Stone and, more recently, Deepwater he would excavate from said strip mines.
Chisel of the Undead Sculptress had me rolling. I don’t even watch Cleo but “mostly sarcasm” was the highlight of my day. Honorable mentions to The Skadoodler, Bionic Eye of Doom, and obviously An Old Friend’s Pickaxe
Attention to detail, when the old friend's pickaxe is being shown.. the background music changes into soothing music.. which represents very well to a cetain legendary hermit.
I was giggling along, identifying each of the artifacts and suddenly I'm tearing up over Pickaxe of an old friend. Amazing episode. Awesome effort. Brilliant.

The Old Friend's Pickaxe made me tear up, thank you Tango for not letting TFC be forgotten
My favourite is probably 5:05 Staff of the Pink Shepherd because it's a subtle throwback to Zedaph's Worm Man and Is That Sheep Looking At Me? from season 5.
And of course 4:15 And Old Friend's Pickaxe for TFC is very touching and I'm glad you included him.

An Old Friend's Pickaxe is my absolute favourite. You couldn't have come up with a more fitting tribute. You actually made me cry. Excellent work! Absolutely brilliant.

favorite artifact has to be the tnt slab. such deep lore
I'm guessing it's Etho's, but I don't know the whole story. Mind filling me in or pointing me to a starting point so I can find the story myself?
@@stevena105 don't know if this is it for sure, but there was a joke from a couple seasons back where there was an "etho slab", and combine that with etho's adamant claim that anyone mining sand with a shovel instead of tnt is a sucker and i think that is where it comes from.
@@stevena105 Etho's lab is often misread as Etho Slab, and he's got a deep love affair with tnt, those parts you probably knew. In 2013 as part of an april fools update Mojang added a tnt slab named the "Etho Slab" that spawned anvils above player/mob heads when it explodes.

idk how i'm able to pay attention to tango explaining redstone bc i don't understand any of it, but somehow he keeps me completely captivated
The heartbeat is incredible! Maybe could be a tad louder because at times it was difficult to hear over your voice but it was really good!
I personally find listening to the sound of a heartbeat a bit uncomfortable, so for me, I wouldn't want it to be very loud, but that might just be me 🙈 I also understand why people might like it a lot! It just stresses me out a bit, but that might be the point.

The heartbeat as music disc makes it feel much more realistic now that you aren’t limited to noteblock sounds. However, I feel like just slightly less reverb and a deeper heartbeat would be absolutely menacing

The artifacts representing the Hermits is such a good idea! But I feel they’re too high-resolution that they’d break the immersion while playing Decked Out. I’d say try making them into the 16x16 like all the other items for them to better fit the other custom items y’all have on the server.
The only Artifact I didn't get was the Staff of the Pink Shepherd... had to use process of elimination but then it made sense.
The Old Friend's Pickaxe was definitely some feels out of left field. Nice!
I liked the flavor text for all of them, and I'm not really sure which is my favorite, it's like trying to pick a favorite Hermit. Can't be done. The more subtle the better, I suppose, if I had to say anything.

Oh, man. I love all the artifacts, but Pickaxe of an Old Friend got me right in my emotions. That's definitely my favorite, and a lovely tribute to TFC.

I don't know what others think, but I love the new heartbeat. It still has the nostalgia of the old one, but the addition of the echo makes it so much better.

I saw the Picaxe and I'm heart broken... the sad part I never heard of the guy until a hermit mentioned him. Now I feel bad for the guy and I can see why he was important in the Hermitcraft Series but also he was a great friend. (and of course everyone is important.)
TFC's artifact brought a tear to my eyes. These are all very, very, cool, but that was my favorite.
Suggestions for Bassalt Assault: Consider adding a Speed beacon since it seems like navigating the huge play area might feel a bit too slow? Also giving player a pickaxe so they can break any blocks they accidently place, on top of putting a bunch of buttons/signs/plates on the walls/floor of the targetting system room to prevent accidental places in the first place
I was thinking that giving players knockback II wooden swords and full prot IV diamond gear, together with the game being like 5v5 would make for an amazing chaos. Of course, crossing over to the enemy side would be allowed. You lose out on the fun of people being blown up, but you can steal the other teams resources and knock people down the drain.

If Tango ever does a Decked Out 3 I think it should be a Sci-fi futuristic theme.

Obviously TFC's made me tear up, but I was tearing up before- it's clear there's so much love put into all of them, and seeing all that history and friendship condensed into these artifacts is moving.

Adding the "an old friends pickaxe" is a great way to honour TFC. I also like the subtile change in music at that moment, great editing there and very fitting. Great episode as always Tango, cant wait to see the first hermits to play decked out once its finished!

For Basalt Assault, you should make it so every few minutes more snowballs start dropping. That way the game will become more frantic as it goes on and eventually it becomes too hard to play defensively

Pickaxe of an Old Friend is by far the most impactful of the artifacts. I imagine that everyone will want one. I also liked the Tome of the Hills and the Chisel of the Undead Sculptress. The Chalice of the Dungeon Master is perfect. I love the commentaries on the artifacts.
