Angelique Francis performance at the Blue Skies Music Festival - August 4, 2023

Ottawa-native Angelique Francis is a singer-songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist with her feet planted in multiple genres - Blues, Soul, Folk, Americana, Jazz, Gospel and Rock. Angelique released her debut album "Kissed by the Blues" in 2018. Her second album, "Long River" (2023) won her a Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year. In addition to lead vocals, Angelique plays upright bass, electric bass, harmonica, acoustic and electric guitar, organ, and keyboards. She has wowed audiences around the globe with her electrifying performances, instrumental abilities, and powerfully textured vocals. Her band in this performance from the summer of 2023 includes three family members: co-songwriter, producer, drummer and vocalist Kiran Francis, saxophonist and vocalist Kharincia Francis, and trombonist and vocalist Kira Francis. Rounding out the band are Dave Williamson on lead electric guitar and Ed Lister on trumpet.
