Always inspired by the production from your organic food forest, brother. You are maximizing your growing space in a way we all should be stiving for. Much respect
Thank you so much bro! The farmers compost is excellent! You would like it! He uses a microscope! Just the way you like it! One love! Ps; got your email. 😊💚🙏✨🔥🌀
@@growingwithfungi Hi Scott I should definitely use Meadows microscope!!! I keep forgetting 😫. Did you watch? You could probably just listen whilst working. Just harvested some worm castings👍🤠🪱💩❤️🍄
Nice harvest and enjoyed seeing the healthy Ness of the soil in the process. And yes, always useful to sow the left over seed potatoes - they'll nearly always give something back. Good idea to remove that dodgy looking one, I wonder was it a seed potato that didn't sprout? I've still a few left over sprouted potatoes, so plan is to sow them this month, under cover of the tunnel, and see what we get come autumn time. All the very best there, Hugh 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much Hugh! I think you are right regarding that spud! Makes sense. Love the late spud sowing.. should be grand.. Always nice to have late spuds too! Nice one chief! Sending big love 😊💚🙏✨🥔🔥
Thats so cool about the algae growing!! Haha 😅 I could feel the anticipation Scott 👀🙈 where are the potatoes!! Authentic and keeping it real, thrilled you did actually get potatoes 👏👏 I never thought to plant mixed varieties together, it has really made me rethink the imaginary boundaries I have put on my potato planting this year and keeping them separate 🙈😅🥔🌱
Thank you so much bro! Place is turning into a wormery! Still not as many as in your 6 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ living soil! I know you hate that term but bro your soul is phenomenal! Luna sends big love! Congrats on the fishing the other day too! We were drooling and super jealous! Keeperlit! 😁🌱💚🙏✨🔥🍄🪱🐝🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🎣
I’m a 74 year old lady and container gardening is the only way I can garden. I have hard clay soil which is useless for gardening, so I really love watching and listening to the commentary of reveals because I always learn something from it. And as you said, a person can always fast forward if they don’t want to watch you harvesting the potatoes or listening. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re quite enjoyable.
I am a few years older I’m 82 this is my first season of container and grow bags so I’m hopeful that I will something I have back and heart problems so there’s no more digging, I like how people grow spuds so I decided to try thank you and good luck.
Yes Larne! 😄 How's it going Alan? Are yee well? Nice one on the mushroom growing adventure! I recommend North Spore youtube channel for vids. Anything by Paul Stamets too. He has a youtube channel but i recommend his books more as the videos are very short although inspiring! We have a few mushroom businesses we can buy spawn from here. I recommend Ballahoura in Wicklow. they seem to be the best imo for starter kits and spawn. Also iv had experience with buying from them and I found their products excellent and customer service v good. If its easier to buy your spawn from the UK then I recommend woodlandsmushroomsuk. Although there can be a large waiting time like three weeks for some spawn. though excellent! Indoor kits are a great way to get started.. Oyster are fun and easy and will wet your appetite for more fungi adventures. If you are thinking outdoor then I highly recommend Wine Cap. They love our environment/context. are fun, not difficult to start and produce wonderful gourmet medicinal mushrooms. If you have access to logs you may fancy trying Shitake. Some great videos on the tube of this being done. Only tips i would offer is to try and have carbonaceous ,materials ready to use as food for the mycelium.. brown corrugated cardboard, woodchips etc.. Mostly i would suggest reading the book "Mycelium Running" by Paul Stamets. There is also a great movie called Fantastic Fungi which is a wonderful introduction the world of fungi. If I have helped great but if you would like to know more or have more specific questions answered then please contact me via email or skype. Have a wonderful day and best of luck with your fungi projects!
How many seed potatoes did you use? My potatoes are still growing. Took 2 buckets that were spent. Not a great harvest but some is better than none. I have to more buckets and main crop to go. Praying for better results there.
