Bruh it’s cos of bad hero design of doomfist and ball, u arent diffing the enemy tank becos of ur skill (not most of the time anyway) its becos doom and ball as characters, when played by competent players have polarising matchups, they either absolutely roll the other tank, dps and supports, or they get rolled by counter swapping, to put it bluntly, when u go doomfist and I’m not orisa or mauga, but I’m on rein, I feel counterswapped by u cos I have little counter play to ur high mobility and engages. The way to fix this issue for the devs is to reduce the polarisation, in other words, make ur counters counter u less, and make the heroes u do very well against have counter play against u
@@calculated-_-9464 I'll never trust anything anyone with bad grammar says. You're too lazy to fully spell out the word "you" so you're also more than likely too lazy to fully think things through as well
Counterswapping was harder in 6v6. Simply due to the fact that countering 2 tanks with 1 tank is MUCH harder than just countering one. Yeah it will still happen but much less influential.
Counter swapping did happen in OW1 but it wasnt as bad as it is now. Counter swapping affects all ranks and it’s usually the only way to win in metal ranks. And we all know how desperate metal ranked players are for a win.
@thor_father8737 The problem now is counter swapping now is 10x more value than just playing better. Players are rewarded more for picking a different character than actually getting better. Then, neither player is on the character they wanted to play. Counter swapping was not nearly as bad in 6v6, not because it didn't happen as often, but because there'd be another tank to take the pressure off.
I agree that counter swapping sucks but at the same time, dealing with a good Doom or Ball trashing your backline is not fun at all. I understand why people switch.
There a few main reasons why counterswapping is so broken. 1st - skill gap. Doom/Ball are high skill heroes and yet all of their counters take considerably less skill to play. This means you dont even have to have much experience on Sombra for example to deny the enemy tank of a ton of value. 2nd - CC is too easy to hit/too hard to dodge. Sleep just has to hit the hitbox, no torso or headshot necessary for what is often a one shot kill combo. For hack you just aim near them, anti-bio grenade has a huge splash damage area so you just aim near them, discord orb... just aim near them, hook can one shot combo tanks, you just have to hit anywhere on the hitbox. There isnt enough precision required for cc against tanks, it is too easy for so much value. 3rd - Blizzard super buffs tanks, which forces counterplay to keep them from dominating. Doomfist without counters (and when played skillfully) is broken, same with Winton, same with Ball. So this means you HAVE TO counter at high level. And this just means that on certain tanks you are always playing against your counters and have to play at a way higher level than everyone else to win. Which is very unfair compared to a hero like Orisa who doesnt have to worry about being countered non-stop and can therefore get much more value each game with far less skill and far less stress.
@LuckyNobody1 If you're playing against a mauga as ball, then you can not interact with him at all. If you do, then are you literally giving him health.
@xaerothehero oh boy, here we go. Tanks like Ball and Doom have the highest skill ceiling of any other tank. Characters like Mauga have a very low ceiling but high floor. That's just the way it is.
