Well, I’m in prison so I have to improvise. I use a set of headphone wires and cut the ear pieces off to give me a positive and negative lead. Then I attach one of each lead to aluminum chewing gum wrappers that I wet with tooth powder and use the sticky powder to glue the aluminum strips to two wooden popsicle sticks. Then I get my cellie to plug the other side of the wires into our electrical outlet and, voila, I have a wonderful straightening iron. My cellie calls me “RevCon,” because I’m the best lifer who can straighten even the curliest head of hair.
Almost forgot, the very best preheat hair treatment oil is cassette tape cleaner. I don’t care what you people on the outside say about that Moroccan mumbo-jumbo, but get you some Maxell tape head cleaner and your hair will look shinier than my cellie’ s grill.
PS, could you please send me some stamps and maybe something hard and pointy? I just need a hair pick before you get any wild ideas. God knows I can’t do another five years in the hole.

@@wendy8561 Wendy, I’ve sent a video to my stylist ahead of my appointment asking her if a certain cut would work for me. That way she had time to study the technique for the style I want before I’m in the chair and I got the cut I wanted. Worked for me!

I’ve been searching for someone who compares the 2 sizes. I’m having trouble deciding which one to get. My hair is a few inches longer than yours. I sometimes wear it a little shorter and sometimes longer. I want to pick the right barrel that will be good for both lengths. Thanks for the video!!

I have the same haircut and recently bought the Revlon version of this tool. I started out with the old version that is a little fatter and about $30 less, I LOVE it, it is so much faster and I'm not drying out my hair with a flat iron every day. I start out on high just to get it heated up and then switch to low, which is still plenty warm. I am going to start looking for products to use with it, my hair is fine but I have a lot of it, so a lot of products weigh it down.

I have the Revlon version, but it’s a pain switching from hot to cool. I can’t leave it on high because it gets too hot, so I cool it down, then heat back up, and on and on and on. Is this tool designed the same way?
