Its so sad ive seen ur vids vefore where i lived it and now yea :(
GO TO ELM CREEK IN MINNESOTA
Parker Rebischke yes that’s the smallest park
@@tonyferr1 it’s fun tho
as soon as they quit building the baby park on schoolmarm and blocked the cut through to A51 on schoolmarm with an army of yellow jackets, that place killed itself, everyone is at copper.
Dude, that cut through seemed sweet. I had never gone to Keystone until 3 years ago, but it seems like it was such a nice shortcut
dude Copper is the SHit im moving back there just to work there again!
Go copper, Woodward’s got it figured out for sure
the cut through is actually back this year but it doesn’t matter because this years park sucks.
Vail has been cutting the park down at every resort they have it’s horrible
All they care about is new little skier kids
all 37 of them now.
Bro legit all we have in my resort is a couple little runs and a park and now they do a shit job grooming and the park is literally garbage. This season is the worst season we’ve ever had
I hate Vail. I wish every park was independently owned.
Benton says “ I’ve never been more frustrated”
Proceeds to hit a double kink rail flawlessly🤣
7:30
Lmao honestly I do some of my best shredding when I’m pissed. It’s close to therapy
Lowkey resorts are the best.
Yewww
Yes there great
@@levigray4002 yoooo
@@ellstackeradventures I go to a small town man made ski hill it’s the best
@@levigray4002 i go to Bogus basin
Sad to see. Keystone was the mountain I grew up on and all I wanted to do was get good enough to ride the park. I used to just watch people send the tripples over and over because they were the best in Colorado. Now I dont even want to get in that park. I just ride Abasin now because its smaller, more layed back and just more fun to be honest
You should try Copper, the parks there are really good I think.
Yoo I'm from the UK where we actually have good snow this year for the first time ever but still under hardcore lockdown. I'd give my left kidney to ride a park like Keystone rn
it’s not fun to ride when the rails are sticky and no one else is using it.
Why I’m spending my Colorado trip at Monarch Mtn next month. A skier and rider mountain, no frills, independent ownership, with a shit load of natural snow. Couldn’t be more exited.
I feel the same way about keystone as well as some other resorts, the big companies have ruined snowboarding and prices have gone way too high for the average person. Also this is why less kids are getting into snowboarding because it is just way too pricy.
checked it out. Day ticket for Keystone is $176, day ticket in sankt Anton (probably best resort in Europe) is €59. Donno were you get the money to go boarding over there....
@@lordjace About $75 over here on the east coast U.S.A. on weekends. That's the only time I myself can make trips. It kind of hurts.
@@uav2246
that’s kind of the same price range. I was surprised by $176 for a day ticket. Sadly I have to travel for 12 hours to get to any decent mountain, so I only know what week prices are..
it’s only vail that’s ruining places
@@ovation1k exactly
Crazy listening to someone complain about Keystone and then immediately say they like small midwest resorts lol. Grass is always greener i guess
I was just there today and yeah, I was surprised at how the park was organized. It really is kinda all clumped together. Ended up leaving early 😞
watched 4 min in, and i gotta say man you guys have no reason to complain, come to the east and ride our ice rinks that we call parks every day thats constantly packed with ski teams and kids that have no idea what they are doing cutting you off all the time, i cant tell you how many times i dont see someone till im upside down, what you guys consider hard out west we consider a pow day.
Sorry about you hill bro, but stay there don’t come out west.
@@triplea9259 10 months later, ignorant response. Real cool bud, I'm out west all the time. Some of us get the luxury of travel and 100+ days a year
Even a bad day on snow is better than a great day commuting! LOL Cool to see Ben back in a vid!
!!!!GO TO MISSION RIDGE!!!! in Wenatchee WA. It's just over on the other side of Stevens pass. It's bigger then Stevens pass, has more sunny days and it has... The 100 lap park! It has it's own tow rope!!!....That why it's called the 100 lap park! Transworld did a 4 part video series on it.
Yooooo it's the OG Ben!! All growd up with the bug filter stash💪🏿💪🏿🤣
man your videos from the last few years of riding area 51 are some of my favorites... so sad to see but its the reality with the vail owned resorts
imo removing the small park is the worst thing a resort can do to their parks other than flat out just not having parks
Honestly I couldn’t agree more with this video man. Its really sad. Im typically a huge park rider but this year Ive been on the backside trying to find some powder.
New snowboarder here from Hawaii. Got the itch a few weeks ago and subscribed! Chee Hoo
I wish I didn’t agree with this. But after riding ikon and copper all year I have really been treated to what a good park is and keystone heavily let me down:(
The titles just too true with these corporation resorts.
alterra (ikon) is doing fine it’s just vail messing up places
I’m sure a lot of the kids out learning to ride the park with their parents are doing so because they watch videos like yours.
But the problem is lots of the kids you see in the park aren’t actually riding anything. They’re just going off the sides of the jumps that go to the rails and standing in the landings. That’s why it’s crucial to have a beginner park with only small features where they can progress and get better without messing anyone else up.
He’s said multiple times that he loves when new kids get into snowboarding and skiing park and I’m sure he loves the idea of him getting those kids into park. But that park is not the place for beginners to get into skiing park. They should not be mixing the advanced features with the ones designed for beginners
@HeAintGonnaEmailYou yep and when an accident does happen which 1000% will the adult rider boosting off the big jump who can't see the kid on the landing will almost 100% always be the one blamed
This is a banger video bro. Absolutely shredding but addressing some points you dislike. Keep hitting up different places it keeps its super fresh!!
I’m going to be at Key Stone next weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday, hopefully I see ya!
The problem with the little skier kids and their parents is all over the east coast, since most mountains only have one or two parks.
Vail resorts have been totally robbed of their good local vibes and have just been turned into money obsessed tourist traps. That’s why I stick to copper winter park and Arapaho basin
This is one of those moments I'm happy I ski and snowboard in europe. The resorts here actually care
We went to Flagstaff Arizona and they have a snowboard park there. It’s awesome.
So sick!
Ben looks so grown up since season 1😂. I remember the OG throwing down the boards after the gondola and jumping on
Hahahaha yes dude 🤣😂
I would not doubt you're looking at budget cuts there. The parks going to be one of the areas where they spend less money during this budget crunch.
Made it to Ski cooper last weekend for my first small mountain and man it was so sick
Yup, I don’t ride park but my friends and I are upset that they are also building a new lift into Bergman bowl. Would much rather it have been kept as a hike out terrain.
When I lived at Keystone in the late eighties and early nineties, they didn't even let people snowboard at Keystone.
I ski at this resort called Chapman with 2 rope toes and it right in town. It’s so small and they just pack features in and the rails get sticky but when they do we just wax them
Durango ??
@@adamstewarthellaraw yup
@@jackpreston6776 oh nice I’ve actually been there before !
When do you comment to buck hill mn
You should come to gunstock sometime in NH. There park is really good.
Dumpstock for life
Skiing at major western resorts is way over-priced and over-rated. I gave it up long ago in favor of skiing Big Powderhorn, Indianhead, Blackjack and Mount Bohemia in the sparsely populated and remote Michigan Upper Peninsula. They get 200 inches of real power off Lake Superior each winter, the runs are uncrowded, a season pass is less than $400, and an entire vacation will run you about 20 percent of the cost of flying out West, renting a condo, buying lift tickets and standing in line to eat at some so-so-restaurant. ps--I bought an old miner's house in the heart of U.P. ski country for $30,000 and my family, friends and I love the place!
Spring mt pa it the smallest I think it 500-900 feet tall but only 40 mins away from where I live
Even my tiny ass east coast mountain has two beginner parks, and then a more advanced one...
Even some of our smallest east coast parks have multiple courses
Johnathan “the rails are so sticky” buckhouse
Lol Jonathan Buckhouse killed keystone by making a viral video complaining about bombing down schoolmarm. Stop complaining about it and go somewhere else if you don't like it.
Im so stoked to be riding this Sunday at bear creek saw they had a park rebuild and it looks dope. I’m wanna try to send a tame dog
That's when you hit the rails with some wet snow. Had the same problem at my local mountain. I'm the only one hitting features, takes a few runs to break em in hahah. Just gotta send it anyways 🍻
I always thought it would dope to have some rails or canoes off to the side on some of the back side runs or even schoolmarm
Love the videos! Thanks for the giveway. GO buckhouse!
I didn’t know snowboard snobs existed until today, I thought that was reserved for skiers. You have a great life dude be grateful.
He is hes just complaining because ifs not what he signed up for if you want to say that you’d be mad too if something that was always great got ruined
fr i used to ski the keystone park a couple years back and it used to be so amazing. i would say better than some of the woodward parks. but now it’s terrible i case the jumps. have kids running into me, i’m literally not even hitting the rails their so bad. it’s just disappointing to see
I don't blame them for being frustrated, I know a lot of people who hate their favorite place now because Vale bought it
This is why copper is killing the park game. Different parks with different style of features for all ability levels with tons of space so its always a good day
At least you guys made the best of the day 💪
Can’t wait to see this one...🍿
My park time is like this at my resort almost all the time but there are some people who actually care and try to take care of the park for no money shout-out to those ppl
I went to Keystone a couple days ago for the first time in about a year and was so dissapointed to see that the small/medium park was like two rails and that's it. I miss the old days everyone would meet together by that bench and shred the perfect lines wtf happened
My home resort is whitefish ski resort in Montana it’s really nice a good price and busy but not too busy especially if you go at the right times
good video @Johnathan Buckhouse
Does anyone know what black and grey jacket Ben had, it looks sick
You, Benton and Yosemite Sam are so crazy 😆 that was very... Unique
🤣😂
Literally about to go to keystone in 2 days
That is the funniest thing I've ever seen. 👏
I’m looking at getting the Burton Process Snowboard 2021, but everywhere is sold out:( has anyone seen this board in stock anywhere?
Keystone used to have this shop that sold beaver tails and bro. It was too good but it went away like 10 years ago
Hey what do you recommend for settings with the helmet mount on GoPro hero 9? Thanks!
You should go to big sky and try that resort out. Massive resort with not much people and has crazy runs
Isn’t the swifty lift line supposed to be a really good park? My sister went there and stayed with her friends family and she told me the jumps are as big as the lift towers and i saw a vid and they are hugeee
Just went to Crested Butte! Was pretty sick.
Vail resorts ruined a lot of ski resorts. They have made it unaffordable for most people now.
Right!
You need to come back to Tyrol basin, they have huge jumps and a massive park
A small but dope park is in Lawrenceburg Indiana at Perfect North
What's that blue thing attached to the back of his binding?
binding bag from company called crab grab I believe
Why would they shrink the park?
I think its because they are targeting wealthy skiers and families because they bring in more money. There are a lot of stereotypes that terrain park kids are crazy and cause trouble so they are trying to push them out because they think their target audience will feel more comfortable. Also terrain park guys usually don't bring in a lot of money since they are usually locals and young people who are trying to save and don't stay overnights. All about the money
Check out the Summit at Snoqualmie while you’re in WA!
My birthday plans to snowboard were canceled because it’s too cold at my ski resort:(
Have to throw my two cents because I’ve dealt with sticky rails in the last few months. I think, it has something to do with the rails not being grind it down during the summer months I think mountain operations skipped on a lot of things this year because of short staffed. At best they might’ve put some wax on the rails and Collett good when they should’ve been grinding down
You're on Day 62 this season. I'm stuck in Massachusetts and can't leave due to work mandated COVID-19 rules. I'm just thankful for whatever skiing I can get this year. Hell, last year's abrupt end was better.
Man dude I am so sorry! I hope these videos help. Hopefully next year will be better 🙏🏼
I Kicked Keystone Breckenridge Vail Beaver Creek To The Curb 4 years ago Cuz There Are Others Places To Explore. Never Looked Back. Evil Empire Sux!!! Go to A-Basin Loveland Copper Loved Ski Cooper and Wolf Creek.
Keystone is amazing, I have almost 20 days there and I have no complaints... I also don’t hit Area 51 that much cuz I suck at park butttt
Silverfire and the backside of Keystone are great when the snow is decent for how close to Denver it is but yaaah... that park has gotten a bit weird. I did my first backflip at A-basin but almost all my other board firsts were at Keystone or Steamboat a few years ago when the park was real and had a lot of good riders sending it every time you were waiting to drop in.
Way to many tourists. Every time i'm at keystone in the park there have been ski patrol throwing people on sleds. This season is weird there. So much potential with that designated park lift.
Same, I’ve seen two sleds below the small ramps in the last week
It’s so funny as an Austrian.
Chairlifts with two seats only exist in the smallest resorts with little snow.
A day ticket is at 60€ in the big resorts.
Literally no one would to to Keystone when it would be in the alps.
I feel like the bigger resorts do this so they can get a quote in some dumb news article about how snowboarding is dying, creating a cycle that keeps that up and saving them money not having to maintain a park/park crew. Then they get to say how "family friendly" they are cuz there's less "reckless" snowboarders around.
The infamous Keystone!
Jason I will be at keystone Monday and Tuesday are you in colorado. Would be cool to just say hey
Come to hyland hills ski resort in Minnesota it’s small but fun
so u saw what Silvertons like how could you go back to Keystone now
Copper is still the best park in CO bc they put in the work to get there park ready to go and they take feedback.
Can you make a video on how to progress after a serious injury?
Ya I broke my collarbone on the first day out and I wanna get back into it before the season ends
I've missed Ben!
YOOOO stevens is my home resort hope u like it. 👍
Do they not bump the chairs for you on that lift
what's the blue thing Johnathan is wearing on his snowboard
Been wondering that myself.
I think it's a little pouch you can put small stuff in. Maybe gopro batteries and such like that
What would u do if you couldn’t evolve any more lol I’m kind of interested
When in Washington, hit up Mount Baker
I thought the tiniest ski resort was Granlibakken in Tahoe: 10 acres or something like that.
We stopped going to Keystone because the way they built the park. Too many times we got snaked by inexperienced little ones cutting perpendicular to rail take offs only to ski over the side. Their parents getting mad at you when their kids are cutting into features and they don’t realize they are putting their kids in danger by letting them go off the sides of rails. Some young skier girls were sitting on the rails and it just made it stressful asking them to move so we could hit them. The jumps got messed up. We canceled our reservations there for the rest of the year and won’t come back until next year to see if they change. If this condensed park is the new norm, Keystone is a park of the past for us.
Still way better than anything not deep in VT on the east coast 😂
12:39 been there
I've always wanted to go to CO and shred all the mountains out there, but after the whole speeding thing and now all the comments I've read about vail I would rather go to bridger bowl in MT or to park city. Sucks the corporate is killing these resorts!!!!!
I went to steamboat last week. Lines are even worse than keystone. It’s totally sucks.
All about optimizing profits sadly
Park City is owned by Vail.
Colorado is epic!! Bunkhouse is usually a optimist. So don’t look for the bad episodes and make a excuse not to go..
@@stephandoan Steamboat's issue is they are one of few resorts to not require reservations. That, poor early snow, and TONS of Covid Nomads/Refugees. Almost everyone I rode the lifts with were temporary residents.
The fact that you can see how much you slow down on the rail even through the camera is absolutely insane. And the jumps are not good, I concussed myself on the second jump because I overshot and freaked out. And I’ve been hitting large jumps for at least 3 years
Dude I hope you ok! I am stoked you could see it in video. It was bad
And is brekinridge better we will be there Thursday
wtf lmaoooooooooooooooooooo, in the beginning when he says im so frustrated
😂
What is the blue thing on your left-foot hiback?
Awesome videos by the way
Stash bag
This video was straight facts about money ruining resorts. Vail resorts specifically absolutely ruin terrain parks I feel like, and I’m worried for Mount Snow, Hunter, and Big Boulder. This is because they are now owned by Vail, and Vail I feel like may ruin the shit out of these great terrain parks
Big Boulder is already shit this season. Hunter only has like 12 features in February!!
@@JDAcha Early season Boulder sucked, not any more.
I realize this comment is a year old, but yes Vail is ruining EVERYTHING
What's the blue thing on your left leg Johnathan?

Come to park city utah it’s so awesome I can’t even describe it
Would you ever go to mt high in socal?
