I think it's because a cougar sounds better than a cheetah. Kind of like how the US uses a red-tailed hawk cry when a bald eagle shows up
@@alexthewolfia7452 fake. they actually sound very similar. and since cougars use their vocies more than cheetahs, it's was easier to take cougars noises.
