I remember I performed this song with my concert choir in New Zealand and French Polynesia in May-June2019. I just found out that this hymn is my mother’s favorite hymn. While we were in French Polynesia, I talked to my conductor that June 13 is my mother’s birthday and I really want to make it amazing. I cried while performing this terrific arrangement.

They have legions in heaven playing the horns. The clouds and thunder can be percussion. Whistling gusts can fill in the rest of the woodwind. Creaking of trees will be the string section. Onward they will play, awaiting another choir to join the composition

I never fail to be moved whenever I play this. It is so thrilling and such a feat to bring all these young voices together in praise of our God.

This was going to be played at my 2020 graduation from college. I really wish I could go back and sing such a beautiful song to God.
