Maxed Out? - Harvest Episode 13

- With commodity prices so low it only makes sense to store grain and hold out as long as possible in hopes of marketing at a better price. The issue is we are literally out of storage and it is more cost effective for us to pile it on the ground than to pay storage fees at our local elevator. This is not the first time we have dumped grain on the ground and likely won't be the last. Our dry climate spoils very little grain left outside. When we are not hauling on private roads we load trailers full but all other times we do our best to fill legal weight.

You guys take me back to when I was a kid helping grandpa harvest. I miss those days so much. Thanks for giving me a reality break
What a great year of harvest video's. I love your you tube. Not to many breakdowns.
Migraine , wear a copper magnet bracelet , no migraine problems 11 years now since wearing one !! Drink coffee again !!, great work guys cheers from across the pond
Awesome video again. Love to watch all of your videos
Thanks for another great video. Really liking that Leg Arms and your Dad are getting more involved in the vids!!
I'm a Swedish logtrucker who doesn't know sh*t about farming. BUT I really really do enjoy your videos! Nice stuff! 👌👍
Watching these videos gets me so hyped for harvest this year
As you are have a good time just carefully. Little brain from Kitchener Ontario Canada .I like your show.
Super cool guys. That grain cart is wicked fast!!
One of my favorite shots of all time...unloading into the grain truck! Wowzers!!
Hi Nick. I was born and raised in farming and ranching country but have never been able to get involved in it much. I drove a small grain truck when I was 16 years old but that's about it (decades ago). But I truly enjoy watching videos of farming and ranching activities. And I gotta tell you... you're producing the very best farming vids out there. Entertaining... interesting, great music when appropriate... just great, great stuff. And LegArms' contributions are great as well, a welcome addition. He's a likeable character. If he get fired I'll stop watching your vids, lol.
Keep up the great work and please keep the videos coming. Best regards from your friends just across the border... Alberta (Lethbridge area). And by the way, the biggest fans of Montanans are Albertans. You probably didn't know that, but it's true. Montanans feel very comfortable and safe coming up to Alberta and we welcome them with open arms. Great people in the Canadian prairies and the American prairies... salt of the earth.
Love from Alberta.
We consider the same. Albertans are our neighbors and have many friends across the border.
I am so glad I got to meet you guys at the farm progress show and thank you so much for letting me get a picture with you guys 🙏🙏😄
Thanks Walker family you put smile on my face, I love harvesting weather it’s old way or newer efficient way like yours👍I bet there a lot you guys learnt this year with harvesting, it be interesting see vid of post harvest reflecting changes n challenges of harvest.
Love watching the grain cart run wide open sweeeeeeeet God Bless the Welkers
Your videos are just flat great, thanks so much! Gary in Oregon
I don't farm at all but have always appreciated where food comes from and how it's done. Who would have thought that a farming channel could be so engrossing and fun to watch? Thank you, Welker's, for that and the entertaining and beautifully shot content.
Thank you for watching and glad to hear you enjoy it!
First of all I love the videos thank you for what you and your family do you all have so many things to do but yet you all take the time to do these videos the footage is fantastic,Bless you and your families and your farm, thank you from Waynesburg Pa...
Thanks for the video of the cart unloading in real-time!
The unload speed on that cart is un-flippin-REAL! WOW! 1200 bushel in 2 min. Amazing!
We have an old 380 hp John Deere combine and just have one cart. The four of us can get 3 semi loads an hr. Farming is always finding ways to reduce labor as it is so expensive and impossible to find!
so good to see some good guys getting on, well done.
Incredible to see you unload more grain than we would get of all our fields in 2 min. 👍
Those independent suspension and pivot on those quad tracks was beautiful
And the cab, is it independent (air) suspended to? Seems to run very very smooth.
It looks to me like you all are having way to much fun. I enjoy watching, also.
Love when Leg Arms is fixing/fabricating and explain how he wiull do it. :)
Love you guys, keep it going. God Bless and have a great week.
Congratulations on hitting 250k keep up the great work and thank you for producing this great videos
Thank you!
Farming is the future of youtube
Welker Farms Inc hey interested in seeing where you get your background music from. I’m having a hard time finding where to get it.
Your editing has come so far in the past year. I really enjoy watching your videos. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
Loading that truck was AWESOME! I run a grain cart, my boss would be impressed with the time, then say “never do that again!” Cool thanks Nick!!!
I think a lot of people really doesn’t understand of what is all involved to being a farmer! Like all the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment that y’all need to plant and get your crop harvested & the many of hours y’all put in! Plus all the maintenance of equipment to service in the winter time. Being a farmer is an all year long process and I think Welkers Farms are top notch when it comes to putting food on our tables👍👍I appreciate yall👍✌️
Yes, Congrats on the 250K subs. Awesome vid guys!!
wow thats some grain cart surprises how fast it moves the grain nearly the end of 2019 harvesting real shame but have enjoyed it so much.
Another fantastic video, thanks for posting!
Great videos. I Love them. Almost as much as playing FS19, working on my Welker Farms and binge watching your channel. Thanks
Thank you for all the pre-bread substance you produce.
It was great to watch Nick have a great day mate
Love the videos! Looking forward to you breaking ground on 2 new 50,000 bu. grain bins.Love to watch the time lapse construction.
grain cert is amazing pleased harvest is going well for you take care god bless
That grain cart's ability to auger out a loaded semi grain trailer in 2 minutes is amazing. In harvest with older equipment we unloaded combines into my semi which takes a lot of time and moving the semi around to another full combine. That size of grain cart moves so many bushels quickly. You should give us some details on the type of maintenance that is necessary during your harvest time. Also pulling that loaded grain cart needs a large tractor.
Yeah a Bushel is like 60lbs...That thing throws load.
Wow 1/4 of a million subscribers congrats guys and keep up the good work
You guys are just completely awesome
Look at it this way - grain piled on the ground is cash under the mattress! Great job guys.
That's awesome and it unloads fast!!!
Love the time lapse!
Yes next year it will be in Iowa. My home state! I plan on going so hopefully you guys do too. It’d be great to meet you guys!
Great video, heck of an operation you have there. Need more Leg Arms!
Looking good guys keep smiling
Howdy from iowa and one county over from next years farm progress show in Boone, IA
i quit coffee a year ago because of migranes, works like a charm, glad it works for you too nick!
Impressive unload speed for sure. However. Crossing the ditch was beyond impressive. Big fan of tracks here.
Thanks for showing real-time speed of the grain cart!!!
Two whole minutes! Hmm, not even time to roll a siggy. ;)
@@MrGerritStok And no butts about it. .............. sorry..........I think 😁
Love the video's. It's like watching a documentary on farming.
Great team effort 💪 an the thumbs up for dad 👍👍
Another great one. Thanks.
Awesome video!!! Thanks for sharing it:)
Love the video guys. I play this map so much on FS19 :) Awesome stuff!
Love this channel! Always good content and love from Swede!
Congratulations on the 250k sub. Great farming footage. 👍✌🤠
That's the difference between running the cart on wheat & running it on corn. If that was corn you wouldn't have a minute of extra time trying to keep up to the combines. We're between wheat & soybeans here in MN. The beans are just starting to turn here & the corn has a ways to go yet. Thanks for the video.
My cousins have the Quadtracs too, 620 and a 4... something, all round there very nice tractors, yeah I like how the ladder swivels with the tractor, and the monitor in those things tell you so much info these days it’s unbelievable!!! Anyhow keep up the good work, and keep giving these tractors their proper farm work 👍🏼 👍🏼
And you Welkers, man! You guys really find ways to do stuff 💪🏼
Now that was cool!! 1200 bushel in 1.5 minutes. That’s insane!! And cnh sure did there homework on the lights on the quadtrac!! WOW!!!!!
Awesome video again! Im starting to get the impression of a quadtrac will be in the future for you guys and a 8250 case combine. Great video again Nick.
Awesome harvest videos👍
20:06 The footage of going over the little ditch was great.
Awesome videos omg beautiful land where you farm and live be nice to legarms he is one Big guy lol and have a great weekend and God bless👍👍👍👍👍

Work a trough in one side and go down it with water and soap. Water slide!!
Next Farm Progress show is in Boone Iowa. They alternate locations every other year.
Loved the ditch crossing footage ! :)
Nice video as always and congrats on 250k subs!!
Haha love that you updated the outro with the optimusbine
I love your content keep it up Hollywood 👍
Awesome job Love the videos
Love the video guys.
When you go to replace those tracks and the road wheels ,then you may not like the quad track as much from what I've heard. Yet those quad tracks are so darn nice to operate, I'm sure.
Great video!
the quad track and that trailer looks awesome
That Grain Cart is an absolute Beast 👍
Wish I could see equipment like this around where i live 250hp is a lot here were I live on a tractor I live in the UK place could Wales.love your videos 👍
Great video guys and congratulations on a quarter million subscribers!
Awesome video like always 👌
Nothing like pulling a grain bin behind a monster tractor in the field! Lol thats awesome!
Iowa will welcome all with open arms and hell we love meeting new people
Looking forward to next years show 👍
I saw you at the farm show i went there for a ag trip keep up the vids love the work and be safe
It's absolutely insane how fast that monster sugar moves product. I'm sure that it even makes that 580 snort a little bit when you get the gate full open. Great video, as always!
It sure does, can hear the turbo spool up with the gates wide open!
The design need little tweak on gears so tractor doesn't snort.
@@BWYinYang I doubt it needs much tweaking, you can't move 20 bushels a second (at 60# per bu that's 1200# of product a second) without requiring some horsepower. If you slowed it down with gearing you would move grain slower and require less HP input, conversely you could do the same thing by not opening the gate as far on a tractor with less available PTO HP.
Like you said when you work around machinery or in the repair field you can get hurt in the blink of an eye. Sorry to hear about Jaybird but I am glad he’s going to be okay I will be praying for his recovery and family
Great Job Boys 👏👏👌🏻👍
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
Mix up some soapy water in the big brute and use that fire cannon to make that grain pile into a big slip and slide Nick haha
After the pile is cleaned up Scott can use the tarp as a parachute, lol.
PIPER DOUG leg arms u wont do it!!!
Farmers are underrated in the creativity category
Scott welds without gloves? What A badass!
HEY !!! You had a chain dragging when you crossed that ditch lol awesome video Welkers !!
Nice spot! It is intentional, static electricity grounding.
really liked this one XD nice music as well
Tell that fella that fired ya, Farmhand Mike and his Steel Chair are comin for him hahaha, congrats on a well yielding Harvest Welkers!
