- The Mighty XKR Convertible still has plenty to offer as it is a top pick in the GT category, as J explains why..

Love my 2014 convertible XKR and always have to play this review during the winter months just to get through :) It's almost like being there, nice job!
Haha awesome! :)
My grandfather has one of these
Love that sound!
Excellent review and commentary!
+phillip riddle thank you!
this is a very honest and well done video. i own a jaguar xkr. you have captured many of the unique aspects of the vehicle, including the sometimes crazy window wipers and the fact that you can operate the convertible roof below 15 mph... i loved seeing you rip it in that turn! great review!! #growlkittygrowl
justinllo Thank you for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm concerned about luggage in the XKR convertible - can you put a suitcase or two in there somehow if you're picking someone up from the airport?
Great review!!
Thank you!
Fantastic review
Thank you very much!!!
Might have to get one. No intentions of separating from my '04 XKR though! One thing I do miss on these newer (X-150 body) Jags is all that beautiful wood burl they used to have!
There are some that still come with the lovely wood burl. But not that easy to find. I love it, too. I find carbon trim absolutely ugly. Never understood why so many people like it. Black piano trim is also ugly. Brushed aluminum is just ok, but clearly I prefer wood trim.
@@v10cylinder I pretty much agree. I love carbon fiber pretty much anywhere, but that's not to say I always think it's the best choice. Natural (not to mention "real"!) wood has a warmth and class about it that suits the Jags nicely, particularly the X-100's but not limited to them. What kills me is people with these cars that already have nice wood and rip it out for, like you say, CF or piano black. Yep, tacky!
@@flyurway Indeed!
I'm thinking of getting an XKR used and selling my Turbo S for more a GT3 RS. You have a funny accent eh?
Great car, driver/talker/borer/writer sends me to sleep tho
Brian Saunders at least now you know what to watch when you re having trouble falling asleep :)
for once i really liked jaguars but now once Tata bought it, im concerned that its changing for the worst (maybe they fiddle a bit with the design)
ChartreuxHQ Actually TATA has invested huge bucks for Jaguar/Land Rover and the leap forward is evident. The vehicles are all still produced in the UK with no cost cutting materials or procedures. Reliability has gone up and all Ford parts have been dropped. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more!
jeremy clarkson reference....
ChartreuxHQ really ? do you have a source ?
POWEEEEE
ChartreuxHQ Where???? 1:00 in oh there it is 😁😁😁
What the hell kind of accent does this guy have?
From Woodbridge lol
Good guess! I am Greek though, so close :)
I don't think that's a 2014 it looks like a 2012
there is no visual difference between the 12 and 14..
the base jaguar KR V8 5.0 liters only 385 HP.... suck jaguar
What year, numbers are you talking about.....suck Ngo!!!
that's more than enough
Any Jag is better than a lame ugly BMW
Not much bores me more than Beemers! Yeah, I know they're all nice-nice German engineering, yada, yada ... but they still look all boxy and mousey. They don't look any more exciting than a Ford fusion or a Toyota, they just cost as much as 6 of them!
lovely looking car and sounds great. I have a 2012 facelift model myself. But the quality of build is poor..too much plastic with an awful entertainment centre !! The 911 is still the car to get in this price range.....the F type is much better, build and drive wise.
I have to agree with you on the sound system, it was very bad compared to the other Meridian systems I ve heard on the XJL and Range Rovers. F-Type V8s, XKR Coupe and XKR-S coming in August, stand by :)
