We found out about one life he took, after Danny knew for decades he killed in war and fought death battles in Okinawa, and suddenly Danny is in shock his teacher was capable of killing... even though it wasn't intended. Danny is acting like that makes him a terrible person intrinsically, Sugar Ray infamously had a kill on his record and nobody treats him like he was a big bad villain who just decieved all of us with his persona, he was a guy who got into it with another guy legally and bad luck struck.
He isn’t treating him like that. If your lifelong best friend and father figure with a mindset of peace and kindness who changed your life actually killed someone in a tournament when that goes against everything they told you that’s gonna feel like a big deal. Especially just the fact that he never told Daniel makes it worse because he feels like he couldn’t trust him. I don’t know, in my personal experience if I found out one of my parents killed someone and never told me about it, I’d probably be thinking about that for a while.

A cliffhanger tragedy will cause Kreese to restore Johnny's Cobra Kai and Miguel and Tory to be Johnny's captains so Robby and Sam will wear down Axel and Zara in the semifinals and Miguel and Tory will beat Axel and Zara for Sam and Robby in the finals.
I think we're gonna get a full circle moment eventually.. Axel loses and is being beaten physically by Wolf and Kreese or Johnny step in just like Miyagi did when Kreese was beating up Johnny back in the day when he broke his second place trophy.
