Utah played a 18 year old qb, and they were facing there starting qb from last year that new Utah very well playing for them 4 years and on the road. The coaches said in the first half they tried playing a different defense in the first half to throw off Bryson Barnes. The second half they went back to Utah defense and allowed 7 points. In state rivalry, Utah State were fired up the first half. I’m not making excuses but I think people see some Utah scores and do not know the whole story. I’m with you Wilson will not take us to the championship this year but watch out next year. Good show.

That was Utah states bowl game to beat the big boy school. Say whatever you want but believe me Utah has held most of its offense scheme back to not show too much for big games like this.
Kansas is weird, because they’ve actually played well outside of QB, and we thought QB would be the one place they wouldn’t struggle. They have the pieces in place and with decent QB play would be towards the top of the power rankings. We know Daniels is capable, so if he turns it around Kansas still has a chance. But I think he’s got one game left to turn it around. If he struggles again today we see a replacement. If that happens Kansas is likely somewhere in the middle of the league.

Nah. They’ve actually played well outside of QB. With even average QB play they would be 3-0. That’s including a game on the road against an Illinois team that’s looking pretty good right now. And a UNLV team that beat down Houston, the same Houston team that nearly beat Oklahoma. Daniels historically has been a good QB. He has the yips. If he gets over the yips and returns to his old form, Kansas will be a formidable team in this conference. If he struggles against WVU, Kansas will replace him and put in Ballard. With Ballard they’d be 3-0 right now. If they make that change their floor will be higher but their ceiling lower. I’d put them in the middle of the pack in that scenario. They are not 16.
Maybe it's just me, but Arizona is similar to Colorado and will be lucky to go .500 in league play, so I'm confused why you value a home K-State win against them??? AZ was never a contender for the Big 12 title.
Arizona absolutely has the talent to contend for a Big12 title, so far the coaching staff has completely let these players down. Looks like Brent Brennan has been more significant of a downgrade than initially thought, and Dino Babers at OC has looked completely out of his depth. If the coaching staff can get it together, this Arizona team still has a chance to finish towards the top of the conference

@@davidmccurdy4350 Arizona brings back a bunch of the same players that won 10 games last year and I truly believe if Fifita starts the whole season, Arizona wins 11-12 games last year. They took Miss St to OT on the road with Jayden De Laura turning it over 5 times, Fifita wins that game. And they took USC to OT in Fifita's 2nd career start, if that is his 6th start I think they get it done, he had 1 bad INT that changed the game. So talent wise and schedule wise they absolutely could contend to get to the Big12 title game. They avoid OK St and Iowa St. I believe they are a top 5 roster in the conference but coaching has been really bad. If they look better this week they still have a chance to finish higher up in the conference than people think, and again K State was a noncon game which helps them. I am under no illusion they can win this conference but I don't see why they can't still finish 5th or 6th and a surprise here or there and they maybe finish higher
That you have Tech at 15 and Houston at 11 shows this list is garbage. Tech was out out there number one player at Washington State. He came back and we blew out the next team. Not arguing that we should be at the top of the list, but All kinds of holes in this list
If this is based on what’s on the field, how can 2-1 Tech be below 1-2 WV? Yes the ACU game should be a markdown but WV was never in it against Penn State (like Tech wasn’t against Wazzu) and WV blew that lead to Pitt, whereas Tech blew out a G5 opponent while WV’s only win was against an FCS and the differential wasn’t even as big. Maybe you don’t move Tech up WV should not be near as high
Too much credence to KSU's win over Arizona. Arizona was IMO overrated with wins over New Mexico and FCS Northern Arizona. All based on what occurred last year.
All of what you said is probably true, but Arizona was ranked in the Top 25. The only win over a ranked team by a B12 team to this point. If you are not familiar with Pete Mundo, it is entirely possible that he might drop an undefeated K-State for the winner of O-State vs. Utah next week.

I have a cousin that was all American football Texas Tech in the early 1950's. I have a sister-in- law that was a professor at Texas Tech. Lots of friends that graduated from Tech. Other words I REALLY LIKE Texas Tech. But I am extremely disappointed in the football team thus far. If they're going to compete with K-State, UCF, Okie State, Utah, BYU, TCU, Iowa State and even Baylor this year, they're going to have to find another gear!!

We were without Brooks, and we’re very young and inexperienced in the secondary. Playing on the road was tough for them, and they struggled mightily against a very good mobile QB. That WSU team just beat Washington at Washington. Plus Kittley just called a terrible game IMO and the Pac12 refs were god awful and very biased. But have some faith and let’s see how they do in the next 2-3 games as the schedule ramps up.

Great pick of K State as the new number 1, because in less than 5 days they’ll be knocked if their perch. Had you not picked them this week, you would not have been able to place them there again this season. No disrespect Pete, but they are entering a situation on Saturday that they’ll not know how to handle. I watched the defending national champions (Miami) prance into LES on a weeknight with no doubt they would win the game. They lost… as did TEXAS A&M, and Texas… all ranked as top 10 teams when entering the stadium, only to leave wondering, “what the Hell just happened??!!”
Iowa State fans last year heard all about the night game house of horrors that BYU supposedly has but the Cyclones didn't have too much trouble putting the B Cougars on roller skates and running them off their field 45-13 and it could have been a lot worse. I don't think KSU is sweating Provo too much. Looks like a nice place though.

Tech needed help to beat an FCS team. WVU had a tougher schedule and led Pitt til blowing it late. Splitting hairs, but I think WVU gets the edge.
