  • Jason Takala Sr. is Hopi Silversmith. He is known as Man in the Maize design, and also as "Master of cutting". His design doesn't have a pattern, every piece is scratched and hand cut one by one.

    I use to work at the county hospital in Phoenix and worked with a few Hopi people as well as cared for many over the years. They are always Kind and brilliant people. Always outstanding to me.
