I love the tip about matching accessories to our hair. No wonder my neutral purses have always been caramel.
I've never considered matching anything to my hair before, but I'm excited to try now 😁

I remember learning that if one wears what looks like a fur coat to match it to your hair. My favourite colour for clothes is my hair colour because it's a good neutral and goes with everything. What I do wrong is buy clothes if I can get them cheap, this is not a good strategy. Usually patterned prints are abundant but they limit the combinations. It's a good idea to know what colours suit you and work out ones wardrobe around ones best colours. Otherwise one has an enormous wardrobe including every colour colour under the sun and nothing to wear.
What a great tip, why hasn't anyone told us that before? Why didn't I know this? I get to 60 to find out?! Ridiculous! Delighted to know though. Yay, thanks Andrea...X
I am usually not one to go for monochromatic, but that burgundy vibe was just warming my heart far too much to ignore.
Outfit #1 gets my vote.

When you pointed out the white was out of place, I was like "yeah kind of..."
And then you said to fix it with earrings, and I was pretty skeptical
But I was amazed when you actually switched the earrings, it was such an improvement!
Overall though, I liked the first outfit better. Burgundy-red is one of my favorite colors, and that belt is incredible!

This channel has completely upped my wardrobe, and the only thing I actually bought were a couple of belts. Otherwise, tips like balancing the colors, strategic folding, etc. were all I needed. I folded a meh dress into a maxi skirt this morning, and I felt so elegant.
I'm so impressed with how adding the cream & black earrings really DID pull the top into the outfit 😮

I love both. Thank you for mentioning angora and mohair. I knit and crochet but always use synthetic mohair and angora because of the cost, so I’ve never looked into the yarn-making process. I did after I watched your video, and I’ll continue to use synthetic versions. I’m glad I read articles that didn’t include pictures.
I will knit with wool and that's about it. we've made it so those poor sheep HAVE to be shorn or they live miserable lives.
@@DeterminedDIYer I spent some time yesterday looking into which fibers I can use ethically and feel okay about myself, and it's a very confusing topic. There's so much contradictory information. Some articles insist that mohair, alpaca, and angora are the way to go because they're "sustainable." Others encourage cotton and bamboo because they're cruelty-free options, but still others talk about the harm to the environment. Synthetic fibers are an eco nightmare, apparently. There's a lot of information to wade through. I've seen documentaries about sheep and how we've bred them to need sheering so much that not doing it is harmful. Like you, I think that might be the safest way, but wool isn't the best for everything. Sometimes trying to do the right thing is challenging.

I really like both, but #2 is the most visually interesting and the most cozy. It's always great when a warm outfit is also adorable (if you live where it gets cold).
I like #2, the cropped sweater balances the silhouette in a very flattering way.
Even though I do not have any of these articles of clothing, you are getting really good advice for building outfits. Hiding the elastic waist band, matching the purse to the hair color, not making your outfit too busy, combining complementary textures; these are all bits of advice that can be applied to any outfit!
#2 was Stunning!🤍 The red heels are perfect with the skirt for warmer weather❣️

the first outfit was great, I loved the tip about matching your hair colour! But my fav was the second outfit with the first shoes. I normally am *not* a toe-peep person (for me, I have ugly toes), but the toe opening mirrored the upside-down V of the belt and brought really clever symmetry to the whole thing. I would wear that fit immediately, head-to-toe-peep!
I like the last outfit best. Very classy with the high heeled boots.

I'm literally just living vicariously through you at the moment lol. I used to have such an extensive wardrobe, and loved thrifting....then I moved in the middle of nowhere, and now my clothes are strictly utilitarian. Muck boots in winter, flip flops in summer, and any clothing that can withstand farm work and keep me comfortable. I so enjoy seeing all your beautiful outfits. 😊

The first one is my favourite! I think the second one could have benefited from balancing out the cream more by adding either a cream bag or shoes

I actually loved the lines on the first outfit's top, as I felt they added some subtle structure in perfect contrast to the delightful but otherwise comparatively chaotic skirt!

I am always matchy matchy for my work outfits, indeed, matching earrings with color of trousers etc. Even scrunchies, hairties and ribbons get matched and it is such a good way to make your outfit complete / correct. But I must say I hardly take my hair color (brown) in to consideration... I love your videos, they give so much inspiration and always love at your jokes and the funny sounds and talking pets. 🤣😍🥰

I just wanted to say thank you. I've never been good with clothes and always was super fussy and self conscious with dresses and never wore skirts. I always wore baggy clothes and jeans. But after watching your videos, I've just bought a bundle of belts and already think a few of my dresses can be saved after all. And when the warmer weather kicks in, I'm going to go around the charity shops and see if there is anything I can get to up my wardrobe a little. Just need some nice sandels because I can't walk in heels and I only have white ones.

as usual, both options were very cute. for my personal style, #2 is the way. the sweater and the boots were so cute.
I like both, but given the time of year, I am leaning toward keeping warm, so outfit #2 is where I am at today. Mind, a less shiny belt might be better suited with the cream jacket.

Both outfits are wonderful. I love these videos. Interesting how the jumper being just a hair different shade form the skirt wasn't evident to me when the look was monochrome, but more conspicuous once the cream got added...I'm sure there's a science to that...
