    • @aikvc
      @aikvc 6 лет назад +12

      He actually has developed a vestibular dysfunction over time because of the way he holds the instrument. A lot of internal rotation especially on the left shoulder. The tension on the front his neck and pectoral muscles have caused his vestibular - inner ear (balancing system of the body) to malfunction.prism glasses are often prescribed in nystagmus, vertigo etc all dysfunctions of the inner ear

      He studied with the legends (i.e. Galina Turchaninova) that created legends (i.e. Maxim Vengerov). He studied with both of them (and other legends too later). Here is is a photo of 3 of them kim-roma.narod.ru/2003-2.jpg
      “My most important teachers were Moscow State Conservatory instructor Galina Turchaninova and Viktor Tretyakov,” Kim says. “Turchaninova gave me a wonderful technical basis, and Tretyakov affected me very strongly musically.”
      In 2008, at the age of 16, Roman Kim was admitted to the Cologne University of Music, where he studied with Viktor Tretyakov.
      He also studied under Maxim Vengerov and attended master classes with Midori Goto, Lewis Kaplan, Miriam Fried and Gidon Kremer.
      Israeli virtuoso Ivry Gitlis describes Kim's mastery of his instrument as "one of the most incredible playing I have heard since I was born!“ In 2016 he won the Ivry Gitlis prize at the Festival Le Printemps du Violon in Paris. (Ivry lived to almost 100 so he heard a lot of them.)
      But of course it all starts with an incredible talent. He started playing violin at the age of 5 and by age 7 already was winning prizes at national competitions.
