AS115 feat Antoine Boyer - Fantaisie sur une danse Norvegienne

Hey guys, today we have a very special guest on this Acoustic Standards #115 : the great Antoine Boyer. If you don’t already know what he does, please check him out, he’s a killer jazz player, classical player, musician !!
We had a tour planned in Greenland that was cancelled because of Covid, so we took the free time opportunity to play a bit one morning at home, and share the result for you guys.
I apologize in advance for the video quality, we had an issue with the focus of the camera so the video was blurry, I’ve tried to correct it the best I could but it’s still not perfect. Hopefully you’ll watch this video with your ears and won’t notice.
We mess around a classical piece composed by Edvard Grieg in 1902, that Django played in 1940 under the name « Fantaisie sur une Danse Norvégienne ».
Antoine is playing a 1936 Epiphone Deluxe, 17 inches lower bout, parallele braced, strung with D’Addario Nickel strings round wound gauge 12, and I’m playing a 1934 Gibson L5, 16 inches lower bout, parallele braced, strung with Thomastik Spectrum Bronze gauge 12 (and a Dunlop .71mm purple pick). The sound is captured with a Neumann TLM 103 and a BlueBird.
