We're trying a couple different things this week, so please give us feedback. We're testing out the premiere feature on RUclips so that you will know when the new VOD is coming out and have a chance to watch along on RUclips with other fans. We're also splitting the stream into two separate episodes so that it's easier to watch only the parts you're interested in. The full VOD is still available on the Twitch channel if you want to watch the whole thing at once. Please let us know you're thoughts and if this makes your experience better/worse.
I personally prefer just having the full VOD on youtube since I watch at 1.5 and I'll watch both guests anyway. If both parts go up at the same time and others prefer separate videos, I guess it doesn't severely impact my viewing experience much
Can upload both separately but also upload the full vod for people who prefer longer vod without having to go twitch for the vod. Great content as always!
Splitting up the VOD is a nice idea for those wanting to only watch one guest, but it would be nice to have them both at the same time. Even if it means delaying one so that can happen.
I understand thorin is upset but please let monte say what he wants. From what I can see, and it may be completely wrong, monte sometimes looks upset that he can’t finish his thought. He’s become complacent and accepting of the inability to finish his thought. I don’t wish to impede and sound like I am but I’d like to also hear monte’s thoughts more. I love everything about the banter but if he could finish his thought I’d appreciate that.
Damn, Thorin's rant about game companies like Riot acting like the content creators are leeching off the magical wonders of the game they created, instead of acknowledging that engaging content is what draws people in to play, was spot on... Riot banning Dom from co-streaming LCS was them saying "you won't make a profit by using our game" which sounds fine if you're the big business in the equation, but in reality it pissed thousands of people off who will now never tune in the actual LCS stream (cause it sucks balls) and now will have even less exposure to the League, which means less consumption of their products (adds, sponsorships, and merchandise) Bonus points for calling LoL a Dota clone, what a slap in the face in the form of a reality check...it's true, Mobas existed way before Riot and having the most successful business model doesn't mean you were the pioneer.
Zven is spicy as hell! I love this interview, he is very blunt and honest about good/bad performances and ideas. He fits in great with Monte and Thorin, both aggressive guys that don't beat around the brush... Sorry about that one.
Zven talks so fast and gives some much interesting info. Some guests are hard to get to talk but here you have a guy basically talking non stop. I’m sure it made it easy for Monte and Thorin.
I think the ban was a long time coming. Let not pretend like dom is some kind of saint who doesn't have a long history of toxicity in game. All the other popular streamer also got banned from LPP for the same thing. It's consistent with what they been doing.
In Germany there is a streamer with more than 10k views per day. He’s not toxic at all, just a chill personality. But for most streamers I think thorin is right
43:50 they can't do that because autofill exists. If a guy who 1 tricks mid and has never played a game of jungle gets autofilled there if that rule was in place he might ACTUALLY have no choice but to go jungle veigar.
The Whiplash analogy is so true. I know too many people who think that Fletcher is a some kind of monster. He would've been, if he did that to kids. But those people are young adults. He made a man out of Andy in like what, a few months? Sure, methods are questionable at very least, but it worked.
Personally - I enjoy streamers who I feel like I can learn from. Strongly disagree about toxicity comments being necessary. Reflections after games, games on champions I don't understand or want to learn...things of that nature. Unfortunately, Riot policies have supported the growth of toxicity in their community, and despite everybody being toxic, they use it as a weapon against specific people at their own discretion, and ignore other people with no clear distinction for why. It's biased which is, in itself, rather toxic behavior as well.
I wanna throw out a quick commendation for this format change. Because this show is a pseudo-interview, I am totally fine with breaking it apart based on different guests. I would honestly suggest making a separate video for the opening segments where Thorin and Monte discuss controversial topics (ala Travis Gafford posting spicy segments of Hotline League). As of middling fan, there's a feeling of agency with this new format (being able to decide to listen to the LEC section intentionally rather than just letting the conversation run on) and for new fans you can avoid the daunting 2 hour 30 minute runtimes. My only gripe is that I wish the premieres of the different sections happened back-to-back so that I could watch the whole show in one session and still get the chat/live experience. Though I have to admit that it makes financial sense to create an artificial hold on supply of your content. Still, great shit as always!
I think another argument that could be made for Dom's case in terms of toxicity is the fact that Riot itself does little to nothing to discourage toxic behavior in League. They have literally thousands of people, streamers, etc; telling them the toxicity is out of control and they just shrug emoji and go deaf. Dom's only 'toxic' like that because Riot allows him to be. They could've given him a temporary ban from SoloQ and I'm sure he would still have Co-Streamed....So, I don't think toxicity is the real reason.
I think he does have a lot to offer but based on the ep with Jack on the Crackdown it seems less likely right now. Dom is probably not cheap and Jack's focus seems to be the esports competition and not streaming as much
@@acsu96 you may be right, DOM If you read this it doesn't hurt you to be more reasonable with payout from the streaming side right cuz I don't think they dip their hand into it but you get paid right so maybe it'd be in your best interest to take a smaller salary cloud9 to get your reputation back on track and it makes it easier in with riot and like it or not Riot has all the power. Ultimately I believe you deserve to succeed and I would like to see if you see it.
yea no Riot might be very successful but many things in this company run really badly. The bad customer support is just one of those things. That they ban IWD without specifying reasons is just another drop in the already created ocean. But I bet he said too many bad things about the LCS and Riot during his co-streams and thats why he was banned because it hurt them too much hearing the truth
Why do we act like Dom isnt toxic in game? Riot has an overly strict moderation process in their game, but that is clearly outlined for LPP Partners and he continually breaks that in game and on stream flaming teammates.
Then why did they ban him for his behavior on social media and none of the things you mentioned? It just doesn't add up and there will be no specific reason stated by riot.
IP rights have been so screwed over by the failures of the DMCA rules etc commentating and using video for highlights is clearly fair use and should be allowed.
he is not being anti-woman he is just saying that this whole argument of equality has gone so mental in the last few years, that nowadays you will see influential women ( frosk in league ) straight up say it's ok to discriminate men because women were so aswell for a lot of years and then proceed to say they defend equality, that is blatant hiprocrisy and no one is being called out for it because everyone is to afraid of the PR shitstorm you get from telling the truth. Even in job openings is the same crap, no way in hell you can have a job opening nowadays that is only for men that is just unacceptable and mysogynist and will get you sued, but when it is a women only job it's ok to the point the interviewer will straight up say to you " I know you are better suited but we want a woman". I am the number one defender of equal rights for all genders, races, religions, etc. But what triggers me more than people being disrespectful toward others is the kind of people who say they are all about equality but in reality they just want to shift the current dynamic towards the other extreme end of the spectrum
I love how Monte think's behavior coaches aren't about to happen in IRL sports. With how the US and the west is going it's going to be reality in less than 5 years
Because having lots of money does not make them immune to criticism after handling a situation badly. And not having enough of a spine to call them out on their bullshit will just lead to an even worse industry. ...but yeah, Eika for MVP, that guy has been straight fire in the past couple of weeks, just like Dignitas in their close loss vs. Golden Guardians last week.
@@naikyou Yeah, shoutout to Eika for warming the bench and letting insanity play. Really improved the team. If MVP means the most impactful player, Eika is a contender for sure.

I would prefer a single long episode, I always watch the whole thing no matter what topic anyway.
I love this format in which Monte & Thorin flame THE LIVING SHIT out of Riot before bringing in whoever. Entertainment frontloaded right there!
Thorin's one minute rant is a good show title.
i started to watch lcs again because of iwd co streams.

Zven is a premium podcast guest at this point.

i don't think that is the issue, but the issue is Riot not stating the reason and probably not warning Dom about it before.
None of the other streamers got banned from LPP only suspended

Why do youtubers suddenly do these premiere videos, which look like live videos?
Makes you come off fancy and more than just ppl making videos from home.
Hype generation
Prenotifying people makes them aware of the content, giving it some more attention when it comes out
More hype and also you can chat with other people while watching the premiere
League seriously needs 3rd party matchmaking games.
I wish someone would timestamp this to exclude Thorin rants :)
