I'm so glad you guys are doing some of paranoid dj's songs, they were one of the biggest pillars of the fandom back in the days before the amazon announcement! Yeah, most of the information we had about the Vees came from Viv's estreams, the instagram accounts, and the two published comics ("Dirty Healings" and "A Day In The Afterlife", focusing on Angel and Alastor respectively) that are, to my knowledge, still canon (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) Pre-season 1 the common consensus in the fandom was that Val and Vox are in an abusive relationship (Val being the main abuser), but that unlike Angel, Vox is held there by his own feelings as opposed to a soul deal. Valentino was thought to be smarter and more calculating back then than he is in canon. Personall I love that they're both equally manipulative with each other to the point where they're on equal footing, and that they both have their kind-of pathetic sides. But I do sometimes find myself missing the old tropes and headcanons now that they've been firmly debunked lmao Wow sorry for the infodump, I guess I had more to say than I thought... whoops
