I have a couple Ozark Trail griddles that I forgot out on the patio over this last winter. Had to use the wire wheel on an angle grinder to knock off all the rust. Then reseasoned them on the grill. Made steak and asparagus for the wife and I for lunch that day. I prefer to do this work outside as my wife isn't horrible fond of the fumes it can cause.
Nice . I season mine on the grill. Works well. Good videos. Inexpensive cast iron works fine. Heats and cooks as well as an expensive one. Only thing I did was. Sand the surface a bit to knock down some rough spots then season again.
I started to notice virtually all videos show cast iron doing a good job, so got curious and bought an Ozark. No sanding and works just as good as my Lodge. Next, I look for a cheap one made in USA.
I love ur demo! I will be doing a series on Cast iron on my channel! I am loving cooking with cast iron and I'm learning more each day! My grandfather loved cast iron these will last a life time!
Well, you found out the problem with Ozark Trail cast iron pretty quick. It disintegrates paper towels when I wipe it down with oil. I've never had that issue with Lodge. The Lodge cast iron is more like an orange peel texture, but the Ozark Trail is just plain sandpaper texture. I stick with Lodge.
Hi. If you’re not already familiar with these scrubbers, check “chainmail scrubber for cast iron”. Works great! Cleans really well without damaging your seasoning.
Thanks, excellent video. I'm going to buy the set. I appreciate it.

Couldn’t agree more. Lodge all the way for me.
i always oil them when i put them away
Gran proceso y para ser honesto no vi que esos huevos quedaran muy llamativos al paladar. Thank you anyways.
I now hear you just have to use your pans a lot to make them smooth, regularly
you shouldnt use metal on your pan
Thanks for watching and commenting. I address utensils in my Campsite Cooking video.
