Awesome. I immediately looked at several videos and checked this. Of course I don’t rotate the hips as well as you do. Got to work on that. I had a quick question, where should the trail foot be at impact, I feel like my heel is way off the ground. 🤷🏽♂️ Thank you so much. Cheers from LA
Most people might only be slightly better at making an optimal upright bat swing than a golf club swing. The difference is that you can have a poor bat swing and still go out and enjoy softball with and against your friends. In golf we have the standard of playing against the course (par) and then watching professionals to learn how to do it. If we wanted to play against professional softball pitchers (much less baseball) then most people would be just as bad as they are with golf. There's an equally endless number of bat swing videos for people trying to reach a high level in their respective sports. That doesn't mean it's a useless analogy, but it is the case that we all aren't coordinated athletes until somebody puts the ball on the ground and hands us a golf club.
I’ve been confused on this exact topic the past week - saw another channel saying that having the lead hip lower than trail hip would lead to a reverse pivot 🤔😫
yes that is the case too as it all depends on where the upper body is positioned relative to the lower body! Watch some of my videos with Kenny Leech in which we discuss this!
How did players like Nicklaus, Sneed, Watson and others today who get up off front foot at top and have pelvis going toward target. They don’t? Or do they?
Look at Jack's slow motion swing. - great angular hip rotation and shoulder turn, tucked right elbow when it matters (near impact), weight transferred to lead foot... ruclips.net/video/5ocMJecgW2w/видео.html
Haha definitely not a high idea. Kidding of course, but the purpose of a thumbnail is to get you to click so you can watch the relevant information related to the title.
This all makes so much sense until we get to the range and more importantly the course 😂.... then the same old rubbish returns. This is a movement as Sir Pete cowen always says..you have to practice daily. You can't hit enough balls.
The foot stomp change my life 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥helps me engage the hip turn
That's great to know, mate! Thank you!!
Great video. I like to practice the movement, in slow motion, on balance pads to really feel which muscles are doing what.
Awesome.

Love the video. Exactly what I have been working on. Thanks
Great to hear, Steve!
great advice re. hip level
Happy to help! Thanks for the comment. 👍
Great Advice video
Thank you, Lenard!
Interesting. I always turned my hip but never thought about it being at an incline. I'm going to have to try this. Should work out better in theory!
Go for it, Charlie!
Question..Do you feel like , with your right foot, you are pushing from the ball of your foot to your heel to rotate the hip on the backswing ?
Great lesson.😂

How can you say "no one knows this" ?
You’re just kidding, or you have a too high idea of yourself !

At 3:34 there's a weird noise...😂

Something about Kerrod's delivery annoys me, to much talking! Just my opinion.
ITS ABOUT SIDE BENDS IS IT NOT?
