It is Shanahan that is the problem here...not Brock purdy. Kyle is certainly no Bill Walsh and he needs to study the old films. (Seriously) What Kyle lacks (By comparison) is that Bill was extremely creative with his play calling. Double reverse plays and 2 or 3 other trick plays thrown into every game. He kept the other teams on their toes. The key is lots of unexpected plays used at the perfect time. Kyle is too Vanilla and has so many predictable plays that the team has their hands tied. He makes the opposing teams look like they have an awesome defense when it's really just that they can see the plays coming. GET CREATIVE like Bill did. - (I really believe he should take a lesson from Bill Walsh.) That alone gives the 49ers a much better chance to go to and WIN a Super Bowl.
What I want to know is if this was happening last year would we be saying DON"T PAY BROCK! What I don't get is people have already forgot the days of bad Kaepernick, Blaine Gabbert, Nick Mullens and CJ Beathard? A good and solid QB don't grow on trees don't believe go look at the whole 2021 Draft class from the #1 pick to the last QB taken. What I am not looking forward is we are going to hear and talk about this all summer. So we let teams go and offer Brock the money and we get picks is their an actual QB in this draft where you go you know what that is a future Hall of Famer shoot would you even say that's a future pro bowler. I do not. Are we guaranteed Darnold is going to come back or do you think he will stay in Minnesota. Is all these worth the risk of many many years of mediocre play at QB because we decided not to pay Brock? That's the question we have to ask ourselves cause that could seriously be a possibility if we let Brock go.
Or we can just have similar yrs to what we just had. What was his TD to INT ratio 15 to 10? That doesn't scream franchise QB to me. Allen had nobody to throw too thats why they traded for Cooper yet he's leading MVP candidate and carried that team on his back. Purdy can't do that. That's what u need a franchise QB to do. He cant
We forget last season Purdy elevated this team. 6th team in NFL HISTORY to have 3 1k pass catchers and a 1k running back. This year was the worst we’ll ever see Purdy
@@designatedsmoker5113 you remember CMC fumbling ? Or is that a knock on Purdy too ? 😂 Purdy played well enough to win the game. Defense didn’t. I’m sot sure what you actually remember
@@markdavis3574 I rather just sign Purdy and keep winning. Our o line is improving. We get Deebo out of here focus on kittle aiyuk and Ricky. We have tons of young talent on this team. We get rid of Purdy we’re gonna be looking for a suitable replacement for years. We got a guaranteed winner in Purdy. Listen if the whole team played good and only Purdy played ass this year I’d understand. But without Purdy this year we win maybe 2 games. Jalen got paid the eagles are fine, I feel Purdy is better than Jalen
I agree. - Brock Purdy had a passer rating of 113.0 with 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 16 games in 2023. He was selected to play in his first Pro Bowl.
If I'm running the team. I make Purdy play out his contract. This yr in particular when he didn't have all his all pros around him just look at his numbers. That doesn't scream franchise QB does it? The freakin Bills were supposed to have a rebuilding team this yr but Josh Allen is favored to win the MVP and has taken that team on his back. THAT is a franchise QB. Purdy isn't that he couldn't carry this team. Kyle tried to make him that but it failed. He had him in shotgun seemingly almost every snap and his latest game. Division up for grabs still and if they won put possibly could have won the division he has his worst game. Over throwing guys for an INT. Under throwing guys that coulda been a TD. outright missing receivers. This is supposed to be our guy. Hate to say it but if they sign him to a big extension it's gonna set the team back a few years. They tried like hell to get their Josh Allen. Thats what Lance was supposed to be but he flamed out. They are at a crossroads
I agree with Crock, and I think Brock hasn’t been playing consistently enough this year. He’s got a lot of weapons, and without them he’s not enough of a firecracker to carry a win. Besides, he’s a “game manager”, right? 😉🙊
It's tricky. You can't afford to pay him, and you can't afford not to have a quarterback. Brock needs to get back to making elite decisions. That's where his talents lie.
QBR is a bunch of meaningless crap. QBR is no match for having and using eyes. QBR doesn't factor in things like throwing a season ending interception. It registers the interception without the context of the play. The most important play of the year and he just hurls it down the field into double plus coverage . Brock has thrown more game losing interceptions than Mahomes has lost games! That tells you all you need to know about QBR. A joke.
No the fans arent for him getting 60 million because it takes away from paying other guys.
I don't think Brock purdy is like that.❤
I do. Lmao but I love how everyone’s judging him based of a year where the whole team sucks

We’re delusional. Brock Purdy was a lottery ticket for us.
Crock.. what more could Purdy have done ? We had games where WRs literally refused to catch balls. 50+ missed games combined from all pros alone.

Another thing that we can imagine is:What if Brock was extended after last season, how would we feel now? I suggest no-one would feel good about it.
@ the same way we feel about paying Aiyuk. The same way we feel about Bosa. Everyone has had a terrible year. Brock is not the problem of this team

I’ll see Brock taking less money to keep the team

Nobody forgot, we just remember the Super Bowl more
Exactly. Any team or QB can have a bad year. Purdy has excellent potential which has already been proven.
Id trade Purdy , sign a vet and draft rookie disperse all that QB money to OLine and D line

Brock is 10th in QBR this year. He’s top ten in his ‘off year’. Mahomes is 11th.

If we over pay purdy im gonna suspend my fandom until he’s gone in protest. Bec no way you should give this man 60+ million a year.
Especially the media
If this is all we have to talk about for the next 7 months Im out...
All those people were talking smack about them don't even make close to million dollars this guy is going to make 60 ml Plus
He better not!!
I'm ready to trade him if he wants 60m for real idc.
Baker is playing WAAAAY better than Purdy and so is Sam Darnold
