HEY JACK! I currently just use my iPhone (and the struggles of U.K natural lighting haha) to film my videos so the vlogger kit would be absolutely incredible for my channel! I mostly film vlogs of my experience at UEA, as well as the good, the bad and the ugly of studying English lit at uni! When the sun is shining I love to film fashion videos too but sometimes my phone doesn’t pick up textures and colours amazingly nor does it focus a lot so having the camera would be so helpful! Filming and making memories is what I love to do and with doing an English degree, my channel really helps me to express my creative outlet and style. I have so much fun making other people smile and happy and filming lots of different content, even if it’s just my friends and family at the moment! I would love 2019 to start off with a bang and give my channel the quality boost it needs! Plus, it looks so groovy to carry and vlog on which is a huge bonus! The camera would make it so much easier to film everywhere and anywhere because I’d love to vlog more confidently in public. My name is Chloe Edwards (I know same last name 😂) and I have been making videos on RUclips since June 2017. My videos used to be based around challenges and doing games and fun things up until I filmed a video one day called ‘Easter Half Term Study With Me’. Now before I had filmed and published this video I had never of heard of you or anyone else until that video hit around 1k views! I was so shocked that it reached that much and when I looked at my recommendations I saw one of your uni vids there as well as one of holly Gabrielle’s. I had to check them out and I have never stopped watching you since! Also because of the video I uploaded, I realised that that was the type of content that I preferred to upload on my channel as I have always enjoyed education and learning new things and I have always tried my best even when I’ve felt that I was going to fail. At the minute on my channel I have reached around 910 subscribers and I’m so lucky that people have actually enjoyed my content and think that what I do is fun and entertaining!
I would love a cannon G7X mark II as since I started my channel I have always filmed with my phone and I feel that using a camera like the G7X would make my experience so much more interesting and fun to watch. I WANT to be like you and everyone else as you are all an inspiration and I want people to watch my videos and think ‘I need to work hard for what I want to achieve’.

after the life ive had in foster care and doing my gcses in 2019 ive sat back and watch people live my dream and thats to document my life and inspire others so next year is my time to focus i feel like you tube is never to late to star but in order to succeed you need a starting point this has made my views on uni and made me think about what i want to do in the future clear and im hoping you can help with my dream to inspire others because not everyone in foster care have to live life thinking they're not good enough x

I’m a person who thinks that we all have a story to tell, we all have something to show to the world, something to give to it! Since I started university my life has been a rollercoaster! I have had marvellous and amazing adventures, but I have also had to face tough moments! I changed my degree and that was something that broke me but at the same time let me start again! I’m from Barcelona and next year I will make my dream come true cause I will be moving to Manchester to study there! I cannot believe I will be living where some of my favourite writers, actors and inspirations were born!
As I said, everyone has a story to tell, and I feel it is time for me to tell the world my story! That’s why I would love to start recording my daily life, my problems, my fears, my success, my failure... because I would love to be able to help people feel more confident, to help them understand that no life is perfect, and that we all can fight to make a change, to start again when we fall down!

Hey Jack! With the Canon camera I would further continue to raise awareness in conservation and different ways everyone can do their part part to save the planet. I’ve been a long time photographer and although I love it, documentaries like BBC’s Dynasties and Planet Earth are having a much larger impact on wider audiences than photographs ever will. One day it’s my dream to work on programmes like these and keep the work of David Attenborough and so many other conservationists going so that everyone has a chance to see the wildlife that is so easily taken for granted. A film camera would provide the opportunity to start a proper platform on RUclips and then work on upwards! Cheers 😊

I just feel like I have sooooo much to offer on RUclips giving advice about school and work (I'm not the top of my class but I know how to work hard). My dream uni, Warwick, replied to me first and since then I've been dreaming of vlogging my experience with A Levels and tracking my progress! I would vlog my journey next year as I leave behind a levels and get out into the world travelling to places abroad such as France, going to music festivals, volunteering, winter wonderland and practically anything I can get myself involved in.

Im heading to India in march, and I am looking to start capturing my experiences in video (im a photographer atm). Having this piece of kit would allow me to capture the beauty of the country, but mainly, to show more people how difficult daily life is. I’m a huge fan of you’re videos, especially you’re ones giving advice for first year students as I am a first year uni student in Kent. You’re videos are so relatable and funny and half the time show things that my friends and I have gone through ourselves. So far I have been recording my experiences on my phone but it’s not got quite the same effect as an actual Vlog camera. Vlogging at uni is such a great way to record all you’re new experiences and memories. I would love to start a RUclips channel sharing my uni experience with everyone the same.

As for the vlogging kit, I'd use it to record my gap year travels and later university life! In February I'm going for a few weeks to Thailand and then for 4 months to Japan and I plan to vlog it all using my phone. I'm planning to spend most of my time in Japan working in various parts of the country and experiencing all that the culture has to offer so I'd love to have that recorded somewhere. I'm going completely alone and I want to show other people that it can be done and that travelling solo as a girl to such distant places is not only possible but can be rewarding and empowering! Later in 2019 I'll be starting university and I'd love to progress with more studytube-type videos (hopefully giving a different perspective as an international student in a top UK uni :D). While I plan to do all this using my phone anyway, using such a good camera would allow me to make content of higher quality from the very start and the accessories would just incease it even further!

Hi Jack! I have so much fun watching your videos, they make me excited for university. I’ve already started up a channel, but I’m using my phone (videos are turning out okay, if I could toot my own horn). However, it’s not ideal to keep filming my vlogs and videos on my phone, it takes up a lot of space and makes editing difficult. All I want to do is create content that I am super proud of, that helps people and gets them super excited about sixth form/university, the way your content did for me. It’d be amazing to win a camera, because coins are short at the moment.

Hey Jack, as someone that has just started Uni despite having a difficult time before, during and after my time in foster care I would love to win this camera to be able to create change within the field that is fostering. Firstly to share my experience of the care system and inspire more people to become foster carers (as the country is in desperate need!), but secondly to make others like me that have always been told by stats, parents, carers and the education system that people like me will go to prison, never make it to college and be unemployed. I want to make them realise that success is a choice and that we shouldn't be limited by others perceptions. With this camera I would highlight my campaigns, uni struggles from my perspective, and use this platform to push myself even further out of my comfort zone as someone that has never filmed before. I appreciate that a lot of other people that have commented here have good causes but care leavers are overrepresented in prisons and underrepresented in Uni, its time to change that! Starting Uni next year after my gap year this year, decided to listen to myself and what I want to do with my life rather than what everybody else thinks I should do. I've never had a lot of confidence in order to do anything youtube related but it is always something I've wanted to give a go at. My confidence has never been very strong and I feel that this would give me a reason to never hold back and just to go for it!
If I was to win, I would use the kit to create a youtube channel and attempt to become a Studytuber like yourself. I'd create content about my GCSE experience as well as my current journey into A-levels and university. Doing well in GCSE and being asked how I've achieved what I did has made me want to pursue this youtube channel creation even more. With the 'cost' of starting a youtube channel essentially being covered, I thought this is a sign to help possibly inspire others via a channel.
Wow so first of all thank you for the opportunity of giving away this insane camera to someone Jack and of course the lovely cannon. No matter who wins I no doubt they will use it to it's fullest potential. If by some miracle happened to win I would use it to document my transition to uni in a different country (in my case I have actually made it into a uni in Japan!) and give advice through my experience to others wishing to do the same. Hopefully that would be a nice way to give back to the RUclips uni community as moving abroad for uni can be such a difficult decision. Also I would love to give some insight to what living in Japan is like. I believe this could be helpful as it would encourage more students to come Japan and study there as in the state it is in right now it is one of the most unmulticultural places. As someone who is half Japanese i can really see the ignorance a lot of Japan has to other cultures and the way they look down on anyone outside of their race and I believe students increasing diversity could really help change that. Hopefully this could be a step in the right direction if I could make this happen.
I would also use it to create speed art and painting videos as that is one of my biggest interests which I would put on this RUclips channel and my Instagram.

I’ve always wanted to start a channel explaining my pathway into one of the worlds top art schools (CSM). Most secondary school teachers no nothing about the art/fashion industry and it’s significant influence. It’s often not taken seriously and a lot of people don’t appreciate the amount of work that goes into creating a portfolio (often an extra foundation year is needed after A levels before BA). There isn’t a lot of help out there for this kind of thing.
I would make a RUclips channel making reading books, TV shows/films because I enjoy reading and watching and find those kind of reviews the most informative as you're telling people your opinions straight after you read a certain part of a book or watched something that needed to be talked about. P. S. My name is in Polish but I do live in the UK

I'm applying this year, and if I get in, I would essentially do the same as you, but instead of english student vlogs; vlogging, providing tips and advice for those applying for medical school. Honestly this just sums up my everyday uni day and what are you talking about Lectures Are treacherous expeditions // I would use the kit to start the youtube channel I've always wanted to start (about my uni experience and how to deal with the crap that is life) but not had the equipment or confidence to do and I do a lot of filming in my uni course and am constantly having to hire out a camera (that have ALWAYs been taken out or left with no charge) to film for my degree so having my own would be greaaaaaat! 🌸

I’m a committee member of my uni’s women’s basketball club and it is full of the most fantastic, diverse and inspirational ladies! Recently we’ve been selected as our Athletic Union’s club of the month for being top of our league and are involved in the nominations for The Tab’s diversity society of the year award. Over Christmas I visited an old high school teacher of mine who has a mixed race daughter attending a tiny rural village school who wants nothing more than to fit in, but doesn’t see anyone around her who looks like her. I thought it would be an amazing chance for people like her to be able to meet our team who come from all over (Nigeria, Dominican Republic, Philippines, different areas of Europe etc) and they’re very loud and proud about their heritage!
My plan would be for us to be able to use the vlogger kit for our events, games, training sessions and other activities to show the world what we are up to and hopefully make a really positive difference 😄 We already have a very vibrant social media presence so it would be brilliant to be able to start vlogging too!

I’m about to go off to uni in the new year and I really want to start vlogging the whole experience! Just so I can look back on it in a few years!
Try making homemade meatballs or burgers (it's really quick and they taste so much better!) And a stir fry is one of my go to meals- just chops some veg into strips depending on what you like (onions, peppers, mange tout, sugar snap peas, carrots, even broccoli works) and some meat cut into strips then put in hot wok/ large frying pan with a bit of oil. When cooked to your taste depending on how firm you like the veg (if you like crunchy veg, do meat first until cooked then add veg for last bit) and then add a packet sauce. Add noodles/ cook rice or eat in a wrap. Its simple and easy & actually healthy -shocker for students I know!
Also loads of easy receipe ideas if you google one pot receipes plus they have less washing up.

I’d love to document my life from an a level students point of view who goes to sixth form , works in McDonald’s and parties a little more than I should. sorry I'm late for the competition but I was use the vlogging kit to start a vlogging channel in Irish! There currently aren't many Irish youtube channels that don't focus on learning Irish language or music, and I believe that the speakers of the gorgeous language deserve NORMAL, quality content!

I’ve been thinking about starting a RUclips channel for a long time but life is always too busy (a levels are hard 😬) and I also couldn’t really afford to buy a camera. But, I’m taking a gap year next year before I go to university (I’m hoping Durham, I’ve applied to do history at Castle) partially to get a job to try and save up to go to uni but I also have lots of sailing adventures lined up(such as sailing to Ireland next summer) that I would love to document using this camera! The sailing charity I volunteer with works with young people from all different backgrounds (e.g young offenders, young careers etc.) and promoting this charity could really help it get the funding it needs. I am also planning on starting my transition next year (when I will finally get on testosterone- I’m ftm transgender) so I was also thinking about vloging that to share my journey towards my true self to hopefully try and help other people who are going through the same things I have been through including struggles with mental health. I’m quite a positive person, and I’d love to be able share some of that with others.

I would definitely use the camera to document my final year at university and life after uni. I would make sure to cover the important and very common fact of mental health issues in students as I feel it is pushed under the carpet. Also make videos covering my love of photography in which the camera would be very useful!

I've been thinking about starting a RUclips channel for a little while but lacking the equipment to do so. I am 18 and wanting to raise awareness about the amazing sustainability and conservation projects happening in my local area, and maybe expand to cover more of Britain. I am coming to study biology next year at Durham (yay!) with the view of going into conservation research and producing wildlife documentaries in the future. I think that starting a RUclips Chanel spreading the word about the local beach clean ups (ect...) which i currently get involved with in Devon, as well as filming the local wildlife would be a fantastic opportunity to jump into sharing topics, producing films and pursuing my career aspirations. Hopefully i would also be able to get more people my age engaging with living more sustainably while inspiring people to get involved in their local conservation projects and learn about nature too! For this type of vlogging i feel that there is a gap in the market and it is something which needs to be shared and encouraged so much more! My Instagram name is Isabelleospring.

For the last year I’ve wanted to become a creator and document the experiences I’ve been having in order to encourage others and so I can proudly reflect on the achievements I’ve made! My first term at university has been so incredible and I’ve learnt and accomplished so much I’m just distraught at the fact I have nothing that I can visually look back on and reflect! I want to change this in 2019 and uni funds are killing me so I could use a giveaway like this to help me out! Plus I’m local, durham first year student hehe so posting will be at minimal cost😉 xx

Hi Jack X I have been saving for this camera for a year now but as a student saving for her gap year, it has been close to impossible. As soon as I saw an advert on the indian slums, i knew I had to put that money id saved to the side, to save for my plane ticket, to help the children in the slums. Because of this, I can no longer fund the camera. If i won, I'd use it to log my gap year, including my volunteering in the indian slums. Love always, Holly.

I truly would love to use the camera to push myself creatively, and to potentially create a channel dedicated to health, positivity, and of course travel! I do a lot of traveling, even though I’m only 16. But. I pay for all of it myself through working, and fundraising. And by using this camera i could easily show people. I would also use the camera for particular aspects of education, and how important it really really is.
Hey Jack :)) If I won the vlogging kit I would use it to raise awareness about a long term condition that I have called Narcolepsy. The fact that it isn't a very well-known illness is just another obstacle for narcoleptics, especially because tiredness is something we all experience, and people often confuse the tiredness of a narcoleptic with the tiredness of a 'normal' person- when they actually could not be any more different. (Quick fyi- it's a rare long-term brain disorder that causes a person to very easily fall asleep in (usually) relaxed conditions (excessive daytime sleepiness), possibly due to an autoimmune disease). Tiredness is also seen in a negative light- associated with laziness/ sleeping late, and inevitably leads to the inability to meet the deadlines and work requirements for the average person. It isn’t a illness that is taken too seriously and even I will sometimes laugh at the relatable struggles of wanting to sleep all the time. However, being personally affected in the long term can be very depressing at times, especially when I came to terms with the fact that it isn't within my power to rise above it & regain my grades, and that I'd have to rethink my career aspirations to work around my unpredictable sleep patterns. (Also because I have big FOMO, and I hate sleeping my days away). I think I can speak for others when I say I can be VERY grumpy/ anti-social/ unmotivated when I'm tired, so socialising isn’t so easy. Although it is estimated the condition affects at least 25,000 people in the UK, on average it takes 10 years to diagnose- It took me 7- and it's estimated < 25% of people have been diagnosed/ receiving treatment. Also there really isn't much coverage on it online. It's really important that awareness is raised, especially for those still in school, because living with an undiagnosed sleeping condition will cause someone to inevitably get into endless trouble with teachers and should be taken into consideration by assessors when applying for uni/ jobs, and there are lots of medications available to help. Even after being diagnosed, there are always people who can be very dismissive. Hopefully my recent experience of it all can be of use to others. I also love to travel and film, and it would be really great to have something to vlog with when I go traveling in my final summer break/gap year (?) before university. I don’t have a channel but it’s something I’ve been trying to push myself to do for a while now. THANKS! P.s I don’t think I could have survived A levels without your help so thank you!!

Hi, Jack. I’d love to be able to have a proper camera to vlog my recovery from my recent operation where I had major spinal fusion to correct my curved spine. Scoliosis is seen as a very restrictive condition and I’d love to be able to document my returning to sport and activity to show others that it is possible to continue doing what you love despite having a disability. Going from playing tennis in regional competitions to learning to walk again was so hard and I’d love to be able to record myself playing sport again and going on day trips, including my planned trip following the Tour de France over summer. Watching you do things like park run and travelling to Israel motivates and inspires me to push on and not let my back get in the way of the things I love, whether it be tennis or going out with friends. There are no channels dedicated to this condition yet despite it affected 1/250 people, and I’d love to be able to inspire even one person to not let scoliosis best them. Insta @laurakeepx
hey jack, first of all i just want to start this off by saying how much i love your videos and how they get me through some long and unwanted days of university stress (this is in no way some form of truth-bending bribery lol) . I'm a first year student studying computer science in London and for a LONNNNNGGGG time now i have wanted to start a RUclips channel but i just don't have the money to invest in a decent enough camera, yes even my phones camera is really bad so that isn't an option. i plan on producing content that is both creatively rewarding and academically stimulating.
if i won i’d use the camera to capture moments in my life everyday , build up a digital scrapbook of my travels, adventures, climbs, take photos of different cultures and live my best possible life, maybe the odd backflip or adventures that i have planned

Hey Jack, loving the video. Couldn't agree with you more about time-lapsing real life. And if you want some ideas for what to cook at uni, check out my new series, Anything But Pot Noodles, where I attempt to cook stuff and tell people how I do it. I'll admit the first two aren't the best but hopefully I get better. Wow! What a sales pitch! I would use the Vlogger kit to help me create some content of reasonable quality. I've been using an IPhone 5 camera, as it's the best I've got. I'm actually planning to start weekly vlogging my experience at university from the new year, so if I got the kit, I'd use it to try to inspire people to do their best and have a fun time at uni, as well as attempting to teach students that they can eat things other than frittats and pasta bakes, lol. Regardless, I hope whoever wins enjoys it, and that all goes well in your second year :)
