On newer models it’s slightly different, Once you get the vehicle in diagnostic mode, press the BC button until the digital display shows the odometer, then press and hold the BC button for approx 10 seconds and will bring up the service reset options.

You might need to put the vehicle in diagnostic mode. With the doors shut, press the start-stop button rapidly three times. Wait a few seconds. A message will pop up in the cluster stating diagnostic mode active. Then try and reset your service.

What service are you trying to reset?
@@MikeMDs engine oil is unsuccessful. Visual check is 'reset not possible'
It is possible the oil level sensor is faulty or a rodent chewed the wires at the sensor.

Hello. Yes it does. But the brake sensor must be replaced first.

In order to reset the brake service light the brake pad sensor must be replaced first.

23 x1 doesn't have the bc button tried 10 times an can't get it to reset

Worked perfect on my 2020 M340i
Didn’t work on my 220i xDrive model. 2020. the first step works. But then is says the same again after the second step.
For me, it's showing the main menu?
