I always believed Retirement visa was from 50 and Over
not 60 and over
Yes, Retirement Visa is for 50 and older. We edited in the comments. Thanks.
65
I would like to come to Thailand. I am 52 and would like to come for 1 year and learn the language and then switch to teaching. Do you recommend this? How much out of pocket would this cost (estimate I know). Would you still help with housing, bike rental etc? Thanks.
We can help you with all of these things. We can cater an individual package to suite your needs. Please feel free to set up a free call with us at settleinabroadconsultations.as.me/schedule.php
Cost?
The prices of the government fees have increased in country since Covid, it's about $2,000 USD for a 12 month visa.
AAmanda, I’m 60. Is there ageism in Thailand? Can I still be placed as a teacher?
Unfortunately 55 is the maximum age to become a teacher, however there may volunteer opportunities.
Your Facebook and Instagram aren't working
Thanks so much for letting us know that there was an issue with the links. Just updated.
Can I do business with an educational visa?
The Education Visa doesn't give you the right to work. To legally do business you would need to get a business visa, such as the Non-B Visa + Work permit or the Smart Visa.
Aloha hi, I’m very interested in a volunteer visa. Looking to leave in February. Can you help me? Saw tge volunteer visathankyou
Hi Robert, thank you for reaching out.
The volunteer visa isn't available anymore, unfortunately. There are a few other visa options available, but we would need to know a little more about your circumstances.

If I applied for Non B teaching visa, what options are available to my children and non working spouse?
The Non B Teaching visa is sometimes difficult to get the whole family on, but it's not impossible. They may be able to become depedents on your visa, or your partner could get a Thai Education Visa or Volunteer Visa and have the kids as dependents on that too. If your kids are going to school, they will get a visa from that and the parents can become dependents on that too. So there are definitely options.
