Kudos to you for actually rebuilding something instead of just replacing it. But what was the justification for doing it? Faster & cheaper than reprogramming it for new cylinder and keys?

aaaaaaahhhhhh yes I've done plenty of these, I never took apart the old cylinder though, I've always just looked at the key and see how the inserts fit.
