Dude you are seriously a genius when it come to engineering to a point where the finished product verges on being artwork. No one out there does the details like you.
It allows the bump to contact the outer cup of a uniball without building a bump plate on the uppers. The arm is to keep the bump from wondering while moving through it’s travel. Don’t know if that’s 100% but that’s how I see it.
The truck is coming along pretty quick. It's crazy seeing all of the foresight you put into every piece no matter how insignificant the part may seem. Keep these coming
Probably the most self-aware fabricator and car builder I've seen. Never seen another one of your videos but I know quality when I see it. Too bad you're not local to me, I'd be beating down your door to come work for you until you said yes. Semper
Thank you. That means a lot. Weeding through the clients & securing the rights ones seems to be one of the hardest challenges. As my frequency changes, the old patterns & people don’t work. Once this 6100 is done I will go in depth about the struggles & the lessons behind it. Right now it’s shut up & put my head down.
Some of the best designing minds pop up in warehouse/shops building and evolving off road race cars and we see their innovations bleed into the streets later. This is going to be a hard competitor.
This is the tin work I miss…everyone has mostly gone to carbon and molded dash panels. We know the benefits to that however it makes the trucks too cookie cutter nowadays. It’s good to see the epic work you guys are doing.
phenomenal videos! this is like a drug addiction for people with similar brains on thought process and ideologies. I can't get enough! amazing work! I hope to be at a similar level one day.
Really enjoy your monday run downs as to what is ongoing but more so your design process, I find myself relating to the way you think and mind works glad to know I am not the only one out there that has OCDC and excells in your work but still has the inner demon causing you to doubt and second guess yourself and never compromise. I am intrigued by the front bump stop set up I can't get my head round how it works efficiently with the thickness of the rod to be strong enough. Roll on the next monday.
The ability to blend form and function to this level of craftsmanship is inspiring. Even this rock donkey is applying what I’ve learned here to my own build and I had a question. In one of the videos you mentioned putting your weld washers inside the pocket of the upper shock mounts. I assume that’s more for appearance sake so the outside of the bracket is smooth but does it serve any other function?
Thank you… 👊🏿 the weld washers on the inside allow for the articulation of the shock body. If they are not there the edges of the shock mounts dig into caps of the shock.
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 makes total sense. My Kings are doing that exact thing now. Food for thought when rebuilding the mounts in the future. Thank you for taking the time! Really enjoying the content and vehicles you’re turning out! Looking forward to seeing the Mason get built too!
How do you portion and prioritize your time? Do you sleep 4 hours a night? I see you hit the gym and work weekends. You also mentioned 100hr weeks on this truck between 2 guys. But I know you got kids and a wife as well. How you manage getting so much packaged in a week is just as impressive as the fab work. Love your stuff. This is the educational content I wish there was more of out there.
If you want a great project that not many have done you could build a hummer h3 out. Their becoming cheaper to buy and you can easily drop a 5.3. I got one I’m doing soon and I wish I had more money and tech to make the build amazing. Just a thought 💭
I plan on doing my first build on a 1997 Chevy 1500 nothing crazy but I wanna have fun. Is there anything I should be aware of since there a bigger/heavier truck? I'm also having a hard time finding brands for suspension components and stuff in general. Do you know of any good brands?
The “dash” is representative of the leading edge of the aero up front. That needs to be consistent as possible per side. Sight lines & cones of vision are established. That’s all the function required for the deck height
I love ur approach to design and fabrication I'm a graffiti artist and alot of my sketchbook work is alot of angles and deminsions I wish I had the money to have u build me a pre runner something like Eric's Ford [I showed this old Timer Eric's build and he called it the fordacoma] and I just told him it's a masterpiece he agrees just an old purest if he didn't watch the series hewouldnt of know it started as a yoga Anyways I'm a hard-core MCD1 fan u got any stickers I got a decked out box and some stickers would be awesome

Thank you.
Biggest elephant in the room that is not being addressed is that unique bumpstop linkage setup.
It allows the bump to contact the outer cup of a uniball without building a bump plate on the uppers. The arm is to keep the bump from wondering while moving through it’s travel. Don’t know if that’s 100% but that’s how I see it.
That’s on point. the other benefit is less structure hanging off the chassis at the bump stop mounting location.
Morgan! Please show this in your next video! That’s wild.
He has an awesome short on it and why they use them
Yes Morgan the are AWSOME ! You know before you build it YOU KNOW IT WILL WORK !!!that why we all love you DESIGN !! Cheers Brian
That seems to be the consistent win we get! Thanks Brian

I’ve just stumbled across your channel, you are an artist, stunning work.
As a designer myself, I can appreciate the work that’s going into this kit.
Thanks for watching & supporting!! Enjoy!!

The bump stops are sick I see exactly how they work
Morgan, I don't know what kind've pre workout you've been taking, but you are an absolute mad man. Extremely impressive.
Thanks Nate. I take gorilla mode. Pretty tasty. Usually 1 serving before exercising in the morning.

Was just talking to Ben today about this build. Beautiful work!
Thank you
The Eddie bravo of off-road
That’s might be a good thing & a bad thing! 😂

Heck yeah! Love that!! Totally understand. I haven’t really found any RUclips content to get behind on that level! I appreciate the support!!

Another amazing video, I appreciate all of the insight. Also, please make more merch! 🤘
Fresh batch dropping soon!! Thanks for watching!!
America 🇺🇸 💪🏼🤙🏼
Awesome work.
The way you can foresee a picture or an outcome and execute that plan to perfection is a very rare talent. Keep it coming bro!
I'd build a more robust drive shaft loop near those jacks. That flat metal will deform instantly and possibly even break.
Love the dry humor 😂
Always great to watch. Dzeus fasteners are freckles. Haha
They are secondary read as a detail. That can often become a primary distraction to the surface & shapes themselves
The aero on this almost makes me think of what aircraft design might be like
Please do a fab diary on the rest of the tin work! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love your channel, please keep the amazing videos coming

Not the proportions or shapes I’m necessarily looking for. Have you seen Robby Gordon’s hummer?
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 I haven’t but I will take a look
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 pretty dope dude. First time I seen that one. That guy is balls to the walls 😂
Help me understand what’s going on with that small upper arm holding the bump stop
Hi Morgan !! Who are the exhaust pattern makers ? And do they produce different tube sizes !! Cheers BRIAN
ICE engine works. Yes they do! Cheers

What is the extra control arm attached to the upper control arm for?
not sure you want symmetry between driver and co drivers dash in race truck. function over pretty in these cases..

## MASTER FABRCATION.....
Thank you
what kind of ball joint is that on the top a arm?
poetry in motion modern-day Bob Ross but better
😂😂😂 so true
So entertaining. Even though there's no sex scenes or car chases 😅. Great work while staying within the confines of a race vehicle.
Annnnd breathe 👍🏻
First
Man, the stones some guy must have to have MCD make him a 6100 truck and then go out and thrash on it...
Guessing you make these vids after business hours? When the hell do you sleep?
