Those aren't called werewolves....werewolves posses human like features as well as wolf ones. The ones that solely turn into a wolf from a person like in this is called a wolf-shifter or shape-shifter another fine example of this is The Twilight Saga.
Hi, guys! for sculpting we used zbrush, for rigging and animation - softimage, and for creating fur and rendering we used houdini thanks for the feedback, Andrey
I was working on a utahraptor model from modelling to animate and it took me 1 month. That was pain in the ass work, and in the end, the results aren't so good bc the weight paint and the IK rig siystem wasn't good enough to animate the neck and the tail properly xd Every work is hard, and sucks sometimes.
I've never worked on 2D animations, but I think it's easier in a character creation perspective. You just need to draw and finalize it. The hardest thing is animate it, for me. Where in 3D you just have to move the bones, in 2D you have to keep in mind the correct perspective, rotation and anatomy of the character.
On my YT page if you check the End of an era video, that is my first, ever longest 2d animation I made and I hated so much in the end it was very tiring.
The program used here for "Sculpting" from 0:19 to 0:41 is called zbrush, though he already had a basic wolf mesh in zbrush at the start (0:19) which was probably made in 3DS-Max or Maya and then imported into Z-Brush, which is very good at adding high quality detail onto a basic mesh.
When I'm older I want to work in cgi I really find animation just amazing and humanities future, does it take a lot of skill to be able to do this stuff? Does it involve a lot of math?
***** "start off in brush" are you crazy? brush is one of the most complex programs in modelling.. because its sculpting... start blender, then go onto sculptris then go onto brush.
short answer, yes. creating a good rig for a model takes a fucking hell lot of time, a lot of detail into it. the modeling is the easy part, animating, specially 3D is a bitch, imo. but, as does everything in entertainment, takes a lot of fucking work, but pays off in the end.
@@pejv7903 i've learned mostly from watching RUclips videos and my university. Udemy has very cool content, but honestly you can find it all for free on RUclips. Try to focus on learning the fundamentals of animation and a software like after effects. There are a bunch of different softwares more adequate for different uses, but learning the basics, like using a timeline, keyframes, pivots, full frame animation and a few other concepts is a good start.
@@pejv7903 oh, about 3D animation. I think the most commonly used softwares are cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, Octane. Again, you can learn about of them on RUclips. If you learn the fundamentals you can learn to use any software
it's doesn't involve a lot of math, however 3D modelling and sculpting involves a good understanding of volume, which is geometrical in nature.. blender can be a bit overwhelming.. When I tried Z brush, I had a really easy time learning it.. I think most ppl that says it's difficult think so because they've started on other softwares and had their automatism that didn't translate well in z brush
Serves right to whoever it was for attacking the werewolf. That aside... dang... some really nice animating, editing, modeling, texturing, and hair generation. I really want to get to that level someday... but at this point I'm only good at still objects. I'm decent in Cinema, and trying to learn Maya because of it's much better built in "fire" program. Though I absolutely can't stand the layout or general use of Maya at this time. I feel like I went from a cruising down the highway to trying to send a text message while driving on two wheels in a construction zone.
How did you make this I have few questions 1.What did you use 2.Im using blender how do you stop the pixel/square things on model going too wide 3.How do you get the detail and animating
There is many youtube channel that you can learn from. Just search. I'm blender user too. I know to animate. But my pc is boring. Old one. Or I will upload videos about it as you asked in this...
that is one awsome wolf i would love to use that in my projects do you have movements and actions in chroma key that would be awsome to use in my editing
FINALLY! A werewolf that actually turns into a wolf rather than some two-legged fur creature thing. Thank you! This looks SO COOL the skill is real
True
Those aren't called werewolves....werewolves posses human like features as well as wolf ones. The ones that solely turn into a wolf from a person like in this is called a wolf-shifter or shape-shifter another fine example of this is The Twilight Saga.
Exactly, its so irritating. If someone's gonna turn into a wolf, make it a wolf and not a weird human wolf thing
@@AllMightsSister A two legged wolf human hybrid is much cooler than just some normal wolf.
I like the two legged one better
WOW. If you made a wolf movie I would totally buy it!!
white fangs?
+StarlightWolves Twilight lol. jk jk. Although wolves and Lions are my 2 favorite animals.
StarlightWolves i
StarlightWolves ;
What???????
Oh my gosh. I'm blown away. I can't even make a good enough picture of a wolf, let alone an animation! Fantastic job, and please, make more!!!

That seemed like an insane amount of work. No wonder animated movies and video games take years and thousands of people to make. I understand now.
damnnnn
and i thought 2d was a lot of work...
It is

This is why I think Disney shouldn’t get as much hate for their 3D movies, but I do like 2D. I’m a 2D animator myself.
This is the coolest wolf animation i have ever seen in my life i mean it was a human and then it was a wolf
And that otherworldly look it had to it
That was freakin awesome. But at the very end, I was like, " Eww" It look hard to make that wolf so realistic o.o good job!!

Can you make a tutorial for modeling and animating animals with whatever software you use? This was truly amazing.
dude that wolf is awesome
ONE HUGEEE QUESTION. How did they morph the human to the wolf?!?! Mind blowing.
Kidos frnd. The animation and fur work was amazing.
the fur is fucking terrible

Good work, for those who ask about program. I think it's sculpted in Zbrush and all the animation and render done in XSI AKA Softimage.
for rigging and animation used xsi
fur, lighting and rendering - houdini
Wow! That's amazing! I love how clean and realistic it turned out! :D
Holy cow. THIS IS AWESOME
Why the hell would some one dislike this?
now that is what i call extreme pro CGI
