HERE ARE THE REST OF THE ETHIOPIA VLOGS! ruclips.net/p/PLHra9ezWmgRhhLO9LdNffnVw3Cn5LT33y
Didn’t thought I’ll be this emotional watching this vlog. I went back to Ethiopia back in May 2021 to see my grandma and she passed away two months later after I came back to the States. May Allah bless her soul!
Aameen.
I love how close you are to your family and how proud you’re of your roots! Thank you for sharing Ethiopia 🇪🇹 with us ☺️
Somalia*
@@friendforlife3321 yeah coz the colonizers illegaly rewarded u with it for being good slave soldiers during theirwars against somali freedom fighters. i mean the city dire dawa is literally named after the somali dir clan.
This video made me so emotional. I lost my grandma last June and seeing hers brought back all the memories. I cried the whole time. Make sure you spend time with your loved ones.
I relate to you I started crying to because I remembered my grandma. May Allah grant all the grandmothers that passed away the highest level in Jannah. Ameen!
Me too... In flood of tears as I write this...
I too, lost my grand mother and mother in a span of a month, toughest time of my life..
Are you sister to Musa sow the footballer
@@box5319 no but I know him he used to play for our national team
This is the best vlog so far! I absolutely love how you kept everything authentic.. it was lovely to see your root culture too! In my culture it’s very rare for someone to enjoy their root culture because of how much stigma we have for their lifestyle. So so so happy you showed this on an international level😍!
5 minutes in an I'm already crying at how wholesome this is, may Allah bless you family always
Reminds me of my homeland Somalia, we share so many similarities and this video has become one of my favorites of yours Ayesha. I find your videos so inspiring and many Allah keep you and your loved ones blessed. Salam from Chicago ❤️❤️
Exactly our somali homeland and herari houses same things many’s ways similar
Diredawa is somali land it belongs to somalia 🇸🇴
@@aarkamaanta5169 yes 💯
Come on everyone, Dire Dawa is Somali land, people are Somali, always had been.
Really i don't know we look a like that much our neighbour! may allah blessed you and your beautiful muslim family enjoy your vacation
This was hands down my favorite vlog. It reminded me so much of Sudan. The landscape, architecture, your grandma making duaas for everyone, the cars, bumpy rides and the “organized chaos” driving style. Thank you so much for sharing these special moments with us 🥰
It is the somali region of ethiopia, real ethiopians are not like that 🙂
Likewise , it reminded me so much my country Eritrea 🇪🇷 as well…including the language, my mother tongue Saho(Afar) is similar to Somali language.
@@timroyacoub8369 Actually you’re dead wrong. They are not Somali and that is not the Somali region. They are Harari or Oromo or another. Somali region is jijiga, Ogaden etc.
Sudanese are Kushites mixed with Arab blood. Oromo are the largest Kush group in Africa. We are cousins. Many of us are mixed with Arab blood due to the spread of Islam. The enemy was the invading Yemeni habesha who mixed with us and others. Oromo and other Kush groups in Ethiopia have more in common with Sudanese kush than Habesha.
I love all the hugs and kisses for your grandmother. She’s stunningly beautiful 💕💕
Aww this reminded me of when I went back to my parents native country!! Made me feel all the feels! Your elders are so blessed!! 🙏🧿
My grandmother was born In dire dawa she is harari. I am Somali from Hargeysa 🥺 I want to visit one insha Allah
This made me so emotional. Reminded of my grandma back home in Somalia. She looks just like your grandma from your mom side. She is so sweet and always makes dua for us. Raised me my brother in the countryside then when I moved to America I take care of her now but it’s been hard to go back. Aww the feels.
Alhamdulillah! So beautiful! There’s nothing like family! Thank you for sharing your fam & Ethiopia! 🇪🇹 ❤️

Loved this so much Aysha. Thank you so much for taking us along with you. Teared up when you were talking about your grandma at the end. It’s crazy to think with each generation we get father and farther from that place we came from. I’m noticing that as a mother now. Never appreciated where I came from as much as I do now.

This made me so emotional wlhi. I am from Dire Dawa and was just there last May after not being there for a while. Watching this definitely brought back memories. Driving there is crazy, especially near Taiwan. Can you believe I had that shawarma from that small Restaurant? what a small world. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Take in the moments.
salaam Aysha. MA MA. Thank you for sharing. It is so nice and homely. Ethiopia reminds me of Pakistan. The car ride from dire dowa to Harar was so identical to the ride we have from Islamabad airport my village. I thank you for sharing this journey and experience. The bit where your remembering Ur gran dads mum and u became emotional that hit and I felt the pang ❤️. So excited to see the next installment eek
Awwww, this is emotional for me. Reminds me of my beloved grandmas of blessed memory. Your grandma is still strong and kicking at her age, Alhamdullillah!. And one thing about Africa is the nature, so simple and real!

Historically Direr Dhaba or Diredawa historically belong to the somali people, the area used to be part of Adal Sultanate during the medieval times and was exclusively settled by the Gurgure Dir clan which is a major Somali tribe.
Great to know! It’s a beautiful city with many different tribes co-existing peacefully. Loved it!
