You’re right but let’s be aware that hyper sexuality of the black women stems from centuries of racism in America. Our sexuality as is always and has always been an interest of European society. Young black girls are sexually assaulted and trafficked at higher rates than any other race. This is systematic and demonic oppression that pushes black women into false stereotypes and abusive situations starting from us being little girls. Let’s also add that hip hop was created by black men who objectified the black women horribly. There would be no sexy red or Nick Minaj without black men and hip hop such as biggie, lil Wayne, and every other foul male rapper.

A lot more balance on the 80s. There was talent with class on stage. Not anymore. Look at what kamala thought of the black community. Even she figured that's all the black community is about.
90s early 2000s we had a balance and now it seems everything has to be over the top. I understand women want to be or feel sexy, but this crossed the line a couple years ago. It’s basically porn and the problem is that the people that listen to this also have children that listen to this music
You are SO right, Rogan. As a woman, you will ABSOLUTELY get treated the way you PRESENT yourself. I APPRECIATE the message you are putting out there. 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for speaking up. This is ridiculous. It is about time that someone points out the evil in this world. We all need to raise the children properly and keep them away from these influences. Keep up the good work.
It's really disgusting how oversexualized the music industry has become. It's more like porn, and the sad thing is that it's not just the artist being devalued, it's women in general and it's being embraced by women in general. Look at how many women, young and old, who have died getting plastic surgery trying to compete and stay relevant. Sad.
The black music industry is complete trash, as well as the women who partake. Fortunately, for us old heads, plenty of good R&B music was made for our generation during the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00.

Thank you so much, darling. A HUGE thank you to your daughter! I really appreciate her exposing you to my channel. Thanks for your support. Someone has to call these things out.
Thank you. 🙏🏾💫💜When I was growing up, you had school clothes, play clothes, dress clothes and church clothes. Just like your shoes. I taught my Daughters to understand what appropriate means. “There’s a time and a place for everything.” Many young girls are not taught these standards. The village has failed.
@ I was around 10 yrs old when my older sister started wearing a natural Afro and blue jeans w/platform shoes. It took my mom 3 yrs before she’d let me wear them!
Yes, I get called that all the time. It just kills me how people can be so desensitized to all of this crap. I see women playing these types of songs around their young children.
It's starting to feel more like it's soft-core porn with hard-core phrases and I only say soft because the more sensitive parts are covered up... barely but still. The lyrics in general are also extremely vulgar yet hitting the mainstream which is so weird. I know back in the day they had songs about sex and some of those are some classic bangers but I think the big difference was the wordplay. It made it so the true meaning was implied but not saying it outright so you could still play the songs on the radio with little to no censoring. Not saying every song and artist was like this but it hits different when someone comes up with clever ways to express sexual desire vs. someone just straight up saying it in graphic, vulgar detail.
Absolutely. Anaconda and WAP are very on the nose but there's some clever punches throughout, meanwhile "My coochie pink" ain't even an attempt at lyricism and THAT'S the standard at the moment 😂😂😂 Pusha T been rapping about the same drug his whole life but lyrical skill makes the difference clear between him and an O.T. Genasis

Preach. Love that you're talking about this. WAP said and showed enough for me to understand that women don't understand what empowerment is these days and that good mainstream rap is dead, especially from women. "my coochie pink, my bootie-hole brown" like what is GOING ON??? Your point about what clothes you wear resonates with me so much. There's women out there that seem to think their choices don't/won't have consequences and that men are the only ones at fault. I remember Ellen Pompeo speaking about this issue years ago, basically saying that women have to take accountability for how they present themselves and their actions otherwise bad things are more likely to happen to them (SA). Some people blasted her saying she was victim blaming. It's ridiculous. This isn't about pointing fingers, this is about reality and what actually happens and WHY it happens and HOW to prevent terrible things from happening. It makes me so sad to see women with influence show young girls that the only way to be successful is to show skin and shake ass.
Happy new year!!! I stopped listening to Nicki when she took out that Anaconda video. It just not settle well with my spirit. It’s way too much for me. I don’t listen to the other people at all. Being sexy and being trashy are two different things.
I’m glad you’re bringing this to light. The fact that you aren’t afraid to speak up about this subject is brave. I agree with you this out of control behavior. Love from SC ❤
I think exposing this kind of content needs to be talked about so that maybe these women will do a double take to see how embarrassing their behavior really is.
None of us are scared of them. I said at work I did not like Beyoncé and specifically her fans and everyone came at me. lol 😂😂😂😂. I don’t listen to her music anymore, but I read her lyrics and she’s a mother and she should be ashamed of herself.
Thank you for your commentary! A lot of people are afraid to speak truth to power! We are living in an age where evil is considered good and good is considered evil!
Angel Reese (a female basketball player) once said that she didn't want to be sexualized but now she's on IG trying to be sexy...I'm so confused about famous people in this world and their opinions and my head is about to explode. 🤯😵💫
It's like they (Angel and Chloe) can't stay in one lane and they can't stop themselves from jumping into the other and lifting their hands in the air and being shocked and bummed out. So, that's why my head is almost about to explode over their flip-flopping.
As a kid I grew up listening to Motown music and always loved it! As I became a session musician in the 70's at top studios in NYC, Boston, and N.J., I started to see things change when Soul hit the market but it wasn't bad and I loved that too, but it was later slipping into what is now rap! and rap is porn! I'm 73 and can't believe what the music industry has turned into. Cab Calloway was the original rap artist and must be rolling in his grave with whats going on now!
I have an almost unhealthy relationship with music. I, as a man, cannot subscribe to this type of rap. I understand that men in hiphop do the same thing, but it’s not the ENTIRE SONG. I have actually moved away from even men who rap like this. I have been listening to a lot of Smino (my GOAT), JID, Cole, Kendrick (of course), Masego (he’s more R&B) and others like them. I like music that makes you think. Sure, this ignorant stuff is fun and has its place, but there’s too much of it, and it needs to go. But, a lot of people don’t like to “comprehend” lyrics, and just want a catchy line, which is sad and shows *to me* that people don’t know how to even comprehend bars that slip your mind the first time.
@TURBOMIKEIFY Smino mentioned! 🔥🔥🔥 he and JID were one of the best concerts I ever attended, very big turnout of women too which surprised me but also let me know women have the same hype for that kinda sound. Unfortunately, that means the push for promiscuity raps is just that prominent, which annoys me. If Sexyy Red had to cancel stadium shows for a lack of sales WHO is backing her and WHY are the going so hard with it? It definitely borders on conspiracy
I was literally JUST thinking about this this morning!! When will we have a talented female rapper that isn’t overly sexual and actually raps about real issues? Maybe Doechii but other than her we have no one
I was going to say the conversation definitely needs to be had. If anyone mad about it they must just be very young because any normal minded women would feel away about it. Great video sister young women must know this ain’t cute at all and to learn to respect themselves.
Im 30 and have a old soul and this video hit home for me I tuned out of rap in the 2010,s such a breath of fresh air seeing you give your personal opinion and critique couldn't stop laughing hearing you repeat the lyrics 😂
There are more and more ppl like us that find these songs/videos complete no talent trash. Bottom line these “rappers” have zero talent apart from stripping. I agree w your POV 💯💯💯💯
I respect you and applaud you for making this video. I am older and remember when the PRMC was going after music acts of all genres for suggestive and somewhat controversial lyrics for the day. Looking back, those lyrics were so tame compared to the lyrics of today. With that said, the over sexualized and suggestive themes that are so prominent in today's music has me only listening to select artist and groups. Why is it so hard for modern rap artist to make a hard hitting album like those made by Run DMC's tougher than leather or Raising Hell. Very few curse words and not one use of the N word. Salt N Peppa is another group who were awesome and yes they were a little suggestive but not near as nasty as now a days. Thats just my opinion.
Throughout the history of music (since rock-n-roll in the 50's at least), there seems to have been a constant effort to break all previous barriers....day by day!
I completely agree with all u said.!. There is a difference between being a prude & being realistic. Prostitutes dress a certain way for a specific reason!
I love the old school artists like MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, TLC, Missy Elliot (raunchy lyrics but never rolled around naked) and Lauryn Hill. Ciara and Aaliyah were considered the very sexy artists back then and they were very mild compared to what’s happening now.
There's some video with Ludicris Ciara made her video vixen debut in and my sister and I (who liked her) just watched in horror when we realised the woman we were sucking our teeth at for doing that was her. We didn't recognise her because she never dressed like that. I can't even remember the song, just the sight of her acting like a stripper on the screen. It was disappointing. She wasn't some random woman doing whatever to get famous, she already made it yet she became like all the rest.
I remember back in the day I would get upset when kids were singing. That's just my baby daddy. Hate to say I MISS those days. For the past 25 years it's been trash and more trash. Just to make money so sad maybe one day things will change. Love your content and channel beautiful lady much love. ❤
Her body, her choice? What's sad is that men and big corporate (whom women seem to go against) got these women to do all this for free in the name of empowering!
It is unfortunate that mainstream artist who promote negativity are often solely associated with Rap and Hip Hop. There are legion underground female MC's that do not use sex to promote themselves. They rely solely on lyricism. Ladybug Mecca, Medusa, Jean Grae, Nappy Nina, Sa-Roc, Sammus, Che Noir, Moor Mother, Queen Herawin , Maassai (of H3IR) , Lil Sims and others are first rate MC's that keep their clothes on, rap their asses off and deserve recognition. Part of the issue is a lack of control over the narrative surrounding our art. We need to elevate artist within our culture that promote positivity and oversaturate our outlets with promotion of positive artists and their message.
14:32 i've always gotten hate as a woman for saying how you dress DOES impact how people view you. idk how this became controversial like you show up to an interview in your pjs you're gonna be judged. you walk down the street in a bikini you're going to be judged. why dangle yourself in front of men like meat to a starving dog? anyway great video again, also i love your eyeshadow ❤
thank you!!! ESPECIALLY the clip about Chloe. I’ve literally watched her since i was in middle school and to see her suddenly become hypersexualized has been jarring. everyone wants to attribute it to her “growing up” but it’s clear this is a “branding” / or industry thing.
My first memory of this trend was in the early '90s with Mariah Carey. She started dressing very scantily after her first album, and I always wondered why she thought she had to do that. She had such an amazing voice, and she became an instant success from her talent alone. Toni Braxton also went down that path a couple of years into her career. I never understood it. And these women weren't even rappers!
I truly appreciate this video and I played it for my teenage daughter and I teach them that they don’t have to show off their bodies to random men and not only to the man they want to attract but also men who are creeps and pdfs. I appreciate someone saying something not only this is happening in usa and not only rap but everyone everywhere doing almost naked videos. I am from Europe Balkan region and Ive seen more female singers are performing with so little clothes it sickening. And they are not as popular or famous when they’re normally dressed there is this very popular Serbian singer she was always dresses like true lady never revealing but she was called to be dressing like a aunt and now she is wearing almost nothing
Progressive hip hop/rap is basically pr0n in my opinion. I don't listen to that real nasty stuff. I don't care for it at all and I just am not even attracted to it. The one rapper that I ever came close to it was Nicki Minaj, even Lil Kim back in the day and I was very young then. I personally don't like watching it or hearing it. Beyoncé does sing some nasty things yeah and does wear very provocative things, I am not a fan of hers either. I just never liked her music. It's now very culturally accepted to a ton of people and for myself, I find it to be tooooo much. I miss Missy Elliott a lot. She was always so humble and could dance and her style was just her own. The Miseducation Of Lauren Hill was one of my favourite albums of all time. Queen Latifah too was so beautiful and unique. Great topic Rogan welcome to 2025 ❤

Thank you for speaking up on this. As a father of two kids, I am constantly concerned about their exposure with this kind of music.
It's really disgusting how oversexualized the music industry has become. It's more like porn, and the sad thing is that it's not just the artist being devalued, it's women in general and it's being embraced by women in general. Look at how many women, young and old, who have died getting plastic surgery trying to compete and stay relevant. Sad.
Agree, 100%
You deserve millions of subscribers so relevant!!
Heyyyy...thank you so much! Thank you for watching!
Girl you had me creasing when you were reading those lyrics 😂😂
“Save your paragraphs, your long expositions” I love it! Some people act like they have to APPROVE everything we say 🤣😂🤣
The black music industry is complete trash, as well as the women who partake. Fortunately, for us old heads, plenty of good R&B music was made for our generation during the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00.
The 90s & 00s is when it started going downhill in my opinion.
@SDS-ee9js I'd have to agree. Yet, I have hours and hours of playlist I can listen to without having to hear mumble rap or ratchet 304 rap.
Couldn’t agree more.
Much respect for speaking truth
Rogan, I am originally from Nigeria. My daughter is 31, and she actually introduced me to your channel. She said, finally, a modern girl with morals and sense. I am more like you. I say things the way I see them. Please do not listen to the naysayers, hoodrats, or whatever they present themselves to be. We love you.
“There’s a time and a place for everything.”
Many young girls are not taught these standards.
The village has failed.
Starting with summer jobs, work clothes.
Yes! I come from the era when blue jeans were worn only by farmers! 😂😂😂
@ I was around 10 yrs old when my older sister started wearing a natural Afro and blue jeans w/platform shoes. It took my mom 3 yrs before she’d let me wear them!
You are so right!!! Btw your makeup is beautiful!❤
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!🥰🥰🥰
@@kimberlyshepard196 Isn’t it beautiful!
Its sad that they think shock value is the only way to get noticed.
When they call you a prude, its a sign of respect for yourself that they see in you but not in themselves.
The more that is allowed the more they will do. This is just nasty
Genasis
Love ,love this video, thanks for letting decent girls know that they don't have to take their clothes of to gain success, also I love how you tell those haters that they don't have to watch ,keep telling your true bahamian story proud of you
Keep speaking up! Your makeup is beautiful and I appreciate your perspective. I snap and clap like we’re at the kitchen table! 🤣❤️
Hahahahaha...I love to hear that it resonated with you! Thanks so much!
Thanks for bringing this up, I have been asking this also.
Right? It's insane to me that this has become the norm.
Thats why I love my queen Adele
Finally someone spitting facts, not sugarcoating and keeping it real 🔥
Thank you so much!
Not usually one to comment on this type of thing, but your eye makeup looks so cool!
Thank you so much 🙂😁
My new years playlist was all from the 80s 70s i was born in the 90s. Im even vibing with country, the story telling is awesome. Thanks to having siblings that are 20years older than me i love alot of oldschool.
Great video. MC Lyte has always been my favorite MC. Good looking out
It makes me so sad to see women with influence show young girls that the only way to be successful is to show skin and shake ass.
such a necessary topic !!!! so under talked about !!! Thank u sincerely !!!
Happy new year!!! I stopped listening to Nicki when she took out that Anaconda video. It just not settle well with my spirit. It’s way too much for me. I don’t listen to the other people at all. Being sexy and being trashy are two different things.
It's really gotten too trashy. The lyrics are so nasty!
I really appreciate your content. Such an important voice. Also, you are STUNNING! That color you're wearing is gorgeous!
Thank you so much! You're so sweet....and thank you for watching!!🥰
Thank you for standing up !
Excellent and interesting topic, as per usual.
Glad you enjoyed it Thank you!
I’m glad you’re bringing this to light. The fact that you aren’t afraid to speak up about this subject is brave. I agree with you this out of control behavior. Love from SC ❤
This was an excellent episode. I will be sharing this with my teenage nieces. Keep up the great content.
Thank you! Will do!
Single handedly cleaning up. Excellent work.
I am embarrassed for these “ladies”…
I think exposing this kind of content needs to be talked about so that maybe these women will do a double take to see how embarrassing their behavior really is.
I hear the Hive coming. RUN ROGAN RUN!
Child, you think I'm checking for them, aye? The truth is the truth. 🤣Thanks for watching!
We got bug spray. 😂
@@ThisBahamianGyalthank you for standing strong!
None of us are scared of them. I said at work I did not like Beyoncé and specifically her fans and everyone came at me. lol 😂😂😂😂. I don’t listen to her music anymore, but I read her lyrics and she’s a mother and she should be ashamed of herself.
Thank you for this video. It's all really ridiculous at this point.
Thank you for your commentary! A lot of people are afraid to speak truth to power! We are living in an age where evil is considered good and good is considered evil!
Thank YOU for watching!
Well said and Happy New Year!!!
Thank youuuuuu! Happy New Year!
You are Spot On!
Those with a problem with your videos are the depraved, ignore them!
The way you had that background music playing while you read the lyrics 😂. Love your content. Always a lady ❤
Yeah, I had to class up those ratchet lyrics with some nice music. Hahaha...Thank you for watching!!
I'm glad you brought this to our attention!
Happy New Year,😊😊❤❤❤Rogan
Same to you, darling. Thank you so much.
Angel Reese (a female basketball player) once said that she didn't want to be sexualized but now she's on IG trying to be sexy...I'm so confused about famous people in this world and their opinions and my head is about to explode. 🤯😵💫
Exactly! It makes no sense!
It's like they (Angel and Chloe) can't stay in one lane and they can't stop themselves from jumping into the other and lifting their hands in the air and being shocked and bummed out. So, that's why my head is almost about to explode over their flip-flopping.
Sex sells😢
Happy New Year! I enjoy your insightful commentary and topics. 🎉 🥂
Fully support you!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support.
I saw the title and I was like yes this is gone be good
@@babetteangel Same here
This is Real talk, but what come with this type of sassy mentality is not gonna be respectful. Thank you for speaking Up🥰👌
Love your channel!! ❤ Glad you covered this topic.
I so appreciate you bringing morality back because this society’s moral fabric is eroding. It’s really gone because we are in the last days
You putting out some good content homie. 😊
I was literally JUST thinking about this this morning!! When will we have a talented female rapper that isn’t overly sexual and actually raps about real issues? Maybe Doechii but other than her we have no one
Thanks Rogan, I love your video and your makeup is fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 love you Sis!!
I was going to say the conversation definitely needs to be had. If anyone mad about it they must just be very young because any normal minded women would feel away about it. Great video sister young women must know this ain’t cute at all and to learn to respect themselves.
I agree and its beginning to go into country music too. Not as bad but its getting there
Listen!!! I AM A HUGE country music fan. It has been my peace for years. So pure...and now, it's being tainted with ratchetness.
Happy New Year 🎊🎊🎊. Great video. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

@@ThisBahamianGyal Your welcome continue speaking the words 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Happy New Year beautiful gal..❤
Hi I’m Rudy from California and lm brand new here I’m liking what lm seeing and hearing👍🏼
Good video. Thankyou❤
Thanks for watching. I truly appreciate it.
Throughout the history of music (since rock-n-roll in the 50's at least), there seems to have been a constant effort to break all previous barriers....day by day!
Happy New Year! You are speaking on something that a lot of people be thinking… Great content! Keep them coming! ❤
❤Happy New Year, Thank you for sharing!
Same to you, darling.🥰
I love these videos, keep making them please
Thank you so much! More to come!
Very true ! Great content!
Thanks for your words and your thoughts! We appreciate it
I gave up on hip hop music, I listened to Christian rap music or gospel music or some Christian Country music

Bro typed, "Yeah, we're ready for the asteroid."
🤣🤣😂😂
I saw that and nearly died! 🤣🤣🤣
I completely agree with all u said.!. There is a difference between being a prude & being realistic. Prostitutes dress a certain way for a specific reason!
Boom! Nailed it.
Thanks for sharing this. 👍🏾
Happy New Year, Gyal 🎉
Eve was bad, too. Sexy and tough
10000% agree with you sister.
I appreciate you seeing us seeing you ❤️
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘
Love your channel! Thank you for enlightening everyone!
You are so welcome! Thank you for taking the time to watch my video!
