In this episode:
In 1949 several Western Europe nations form NATO. The Soviets successfully tested their first atomic bomb. The arms race is on, with the H-Bomb next. The resulting paranoia leads to show trials, witch hunts, and assassinations. South Korea is invaded by the communist North, and the Korean War begins. Whether in the arms race, proxy wars, or espionage, the Cold War is running hot.
'M.A.D. World' takes a close look at the last time we were threatened by the might of world superpowers: The Cold War. For over forty years the entire world stood on the brink of annihilation, as the horrors of World War II ended and a new kind of global war began when the push of a single button could trigger all-out nuclear war. 'M.A.D. World' examines how the world was changed forever by the Cold War. Over eight episodes, remarkable footage from the time shows how the build-up of nuclear arms and the mistrust between West and East instilled terror across the globe. First-hand accounts bring the stories to life as we talk to pilots drilled to drop the bomb, families are torn apart by the Iron Curtain and escaped dissidents who lived in fear of torture and execution.

Can only imagine what Eisenhower would've done had the Soviets eliminated the American spy pilot after he had spilled all the intelligence beans. Maybe none of us would be here right now.
If you dive deep enough to what “us” and “here” truly are and what underpins them (Logos aka Universal Logic/Reason) then you’ll know that I (Logos) will always be and one could never eliminate all of “us” (manifestations of Logos) from “here” (existence within the comprehension of Logos - Logical Existence).
Even in a post apocalyptic wasteland, I am the fallout and the wind that carries it - I am all that is, was, and will be.
There are many errors in this video, so I wouldn't quote it on a History Test, but it's otherwise very entertaining.

@@SammyNeedsAnAlibi First H Bomb testing by US took place in November 1952 on Elugelap Island, not in April 1954 as claimed in this docu. Soviet did it 9 months later in August 1953. That's one error i found in this. Please specify other errors if you've find any.

But it’s still a MUCH better system than the totalitarian regime of the USSR. They were on the wrong side of history, and Russia is with Trump’s buddy Putin in charge.
Marshall plan was not to rub it in the USSR face. It was intended to help rebuild Europe after the devastation of the Second World War (how was that provocative?). Granted it was believed that by helping with the restoration of Europe would also help prevent the spread of communism….but preventing its spread is not the same as an offensive action taken to threaten and exterminate its existence. The communist system of the Soviet Union in itself provided its own demise…..

Watching these documentaries makes me appreciate why Russia must win the Ukrainian war. Russia's defeat will definitely upset the world balance of power. Who will stop western imperialism absent Russia?

The soldiers that don’t talk about their hellish experiences because they’re “too traumatic” are failing to spread the message that was given to them by God (Reason/Logos) through that experience, that Reason (God/Logos) is logically necessary and not to be ignored.
Glorification of our nations (of man) and a refusal to speak of the hell that devotion to those nations put men through is an error. It leads to more people having to learn that lesson the hard way, which in turn makes it yet another example of soldiers lacking compassion and ultimately coherence (with the Logic of the Universe that is the One True God).
If you’ve been to war and it was hell, GOOD! That was the point and the lesson, now stop being a whimp and teach that message full force an in as vivid of detail (describing the horror you saw when Reason was ignored) as you possibly can.
Anything less is a missed opportunity.
