- Every day, America must find a place to park 5 billion gallons of human waste, and we're increasingly unable to find the space. We wake up in the morning, brush our teeth, and flush the toilet, thinking that the wastewater disappears into the center of the Earth. If only that were the case.
Between 8 AM and 9 AM each morning, the waste output of Manhattan's West Side swells from 70 million to 150 million gallons per day. This is known as "the big flush." The sewage will eventually end up on a NYC Department of Environmental Protection Sewage boat, which will take the sludge to a dewatering plant on Ward's Island, where the sludge will become "biosolids" that can be reused to create golf courses, cemeteries, and fertilizer for the human food chain.
Biosolids have become a financial asset worth hundreds of billions of dollars, but it's still possible that we'll go back to dumping our waste in the ocean. In this new documentary, VICE traces the trail of waste from butt to big-money biosolid and beyond.

I have to say that even though I enjoyed his jokes, I find him too insisting and always cutting people short, he doesn't even let them talk that much. I mean it's not a documentary about him finding the best joke. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my impression (from the very first few minutes on).

I personally think that's amazing that our own waste is being used to grow food and other products we use. People need to understand where too large now to be just using and reusing any resource. I personally think they should streamline the process and sell direct to farmers at a low prices to lower overheads and reduce overall cost. Embrace the poop revolution !

Just limit the amount of children people can have, limit it to having 2 children and then the problem is solved. If someone has 3 children then they have to pay a huge fee in order to discourage it, with every child the fee goes up and up. I don't agree with kids being taken away from their parents like they do in China in order to discourage it.
