Jamovi 1.8/2.0 Tutorial: Dealing with Missing Values (Episode 36)

In this Jamovi tutorial, I go through how jamovi deals with missing values within the program and some tips on how to manage your data in the Data Editor, just in case there are missing values!

Blank values are already handled by Jamovi and treated as missing. The only reason to manually specify a missing value and enter an integer is if you're importing the data from somewhere that has missing values as that value of 999 etc.

I have a question, I know different analysis options have maximum likelihood to deal with missing data in jamovi but my question is that the liner regression option in jamovi have Maximum likelihood in it setting or background ?

I’m sorry, I’m not following your question - are you asking if linear regression has maximum likelihood?

Is there a way to automate adding a value to empty cells or must they all be typed in as you've done?

No way to automate as far as I can tell. You can do this in Excel pretty easily though

Each analysis has an option to exclude analysis by analysis or listwise, so it will depend on what analysis you want to perform.

@@ChrisSTEF_0302 check out the regression module in jamovi -- i believe you can do listwise or by variable, but it's been a little while since I've used that module
