Smudging is also a part of Finnish tradition. We use juniper to cleanse and bless houses and animal shelters. And if you need to get rid of something really nasty - and make sure that it won't come back, you use Rowan (leafs, berries or ash).
I’m an Aussie with Scandinavian Ancestry mostly Norwegian, Sweden & Denmark. I feel very spiritually close to my ancestors of these parts of the world. 😊
Here in Scotland, Rowans are also used: they used to be planted around houses as protection against spirits and witches. You still see them outside a lot of the old farmhouses. I live in a newish house, but I made sure to plant a couple of Rowans 😊
"Demon" comes from the word "daemon",which can translate to "Teacher". And honestly, humans can't hardly tell the difference bw demons and angels - even many gifted Magi. Reason why is bc demons and angels are family to one another.
I grow my own white sage and this past year was an incredible year for seeds which means I will be growing as many plants as I can to share. It’s an incredible plant.
I live in SC and have been trying to grow sage for years I had sage for 2 years in a row and it got mowed down and killed haven't been able to get it to grow since. Not give ng up though
@geodude6244 Depends entirely on how well the flowering goes. Drought and soil conditions can greatly affect the plant health. Bad health=less flowering= fewer seeds. So yes, in fact, there are good and bad years for seed yields.
This makes sense. My mother used sage in a haunted home we lived in. I was young. She said that even though the activity died down I kept telling her it was still there. I turned out to be right. Our grandfather was blackfoot but he died when my mother was a child but she does talk to family on the reservation. She learned better from them.
Hi I would like to know more about sage and smudging please, I’ve always seen it used before and always want good positive energies in my house and along with the people I care for and I would also like to know about the offering and blessings you should do, I’ve always been tempted to buy sage but something just always told me no and to find out more first and learn the right properties and respect for this plant, cause deep down I always felt like it wasn’t to rid evil out and like you’ve said and I’ve seen in the case where people do they just make it worse and how if you know would you come about growing them because I’ve been offered seeds and plants but it never sat right with me so I’ve never owned any, and I would like to be more in touch about these thing, I’ve always been told that we come for native blood line and my mom was supposedly offered to live off a rez when she was younger but I don’t truly know and am trying to get tested for that, I’ve always felt connected to the earth in a certain way and wanted to know for what reasons and been looking into to history about indigenous folk… I’m interested in so much and wished I knew more but I’m only raised in California and was rashioned what was told to me but I’m never too sure. Also love the education on this Channel and can’t wait to learn more@@ShanclenShadowProductions
I once did this to my home not understanding the energy. The same nite i became extremely physically ill. I started sweating throwing up and had this overwhelming feeling of a darker presence over me. He speaks total truth
That's because the phony who taught you wanted you to fail, be afraid and go running back for more 'help'! Phony medicine people are all narcissistic attention whores!
This is very similar in the old grimoire traditions & renaissance magic from Europe. One would approach the specific herb for the medicine to be performed, offer up a coin, blood, food, honey, or some other similar sacrifice to the spirit of the plant & tell it what it needed it to do. Many times they would also use the phase of the moon, pick it under an auspicious zodiac sign, etc.. One plant that will get rid of demons or other spirits for that matter is asafoetida. You don't want to burn it though unless it's absolutely needed because it has a very powerful noxious smell. Many people don't realize that spirits have a highly developed sense of smell. I won't give too much more because these also are sacred things.
@bunnybrown809 In that same line of thought, specific scents can be used to drive out spirits. However a person needs to be knowledgeable on what is used for what. In this sense, sage could be used to calm something then another used for driving it out or even just used to help bless a place to make in inhospitable to specific TYPES of spirits, or to a specific spirit it's self. However a person needs to know what that spirit actually is. That's why in the traditions of the grimiours much study is given to the exact types. There are some catch all scents (supposedly) however personally I want to know what I am dealing with.
Funny thing is Druids have a thing where to get a staff you have to ask the tree if either you can take a limb or if it can gift you one and most Druids would sit for hours until either a sign was given or for some weird reason a limb would just fall out. It was said that in doing this you are granted the tree's blessing. Funny story my current staff i gained when I was 10. I felt drawn to this dying sapling poor thing was barely alive maybe a few lil leaf sprigs and I pulled it, it just came free and i felt something rush through me like there was relief. After that I fashioned it into a staff and it's been with me ever since.
This is very interesting. Similar practices are found in IFÁ, Santeria and Palo Mayombe Santeria and IFÁ do this in general but very heavy when you start doing more work with the orisha Osain (O-Sane). There are those that become “herbalists”, they just work heavy with plants of all kinds.
I don't think a sapling would give you the blessing to just yank it from the ground and kill it. It probably just didn't have the strength to fight back because it was sick. And when you noted the ease of pulling it from the ground, you interpreted it as permission.
Have you ever taken the time to sit and talk to a tree, the ground you stand or sit on, a rock anything created by mother earth. I have and guess what if you sit quietly and keep your connection with it just touching it and you are patient and it things you are trustworthy, it will talk back. For me it's sometimes in pictures, sometimes in feelings. I have found many plants, trees etc that are dying and can't be healed, do gladly even if it means having to tug it give freely. This way they know that they will still be helping still have a purpose and still be able to be connected to things. So do not put another down just because you do not believe the same or they do not fit in a box you think people should be in. Find someone that at least will explain the basics and foundations of animistic ways. Your comment shows darkness and closed minded ways. How is that any different than many other things going on today all around us. Being rude just because you think differently is actually a cravenly response to make yourself feel better, and feel like you know more or are better in some way. Not what is needed right now with so much darkness already trying to take over out there in so many ways.
Thank you for explaining this :) I once saw someone smudge a room where someone had died and it didn't do much of anything. I always wondered why that was. This woman's spirit was still definitely there; she didn't seem angry or malicious, but very sad.
I'm happy you made this video because people who did not grow up in a tribal setting, learning rituals and chants, offerings and other important things in that sense, don't understand how "smudging" actually works. I am a medium, but I'm also a tribal member of the Choctaw Nations. I can track my family lineage back many generations. I do use sage in my own home, and when I am helping someone deal with strange or spiritual occurrences. I also use cedar and palosanto wood, which I burn and recite specific chants and /or rituals. But I use the ash from the burnt wood to line the entrances of a dwelling as well as bury it in the 4 corners of a house, if a spirit is extremely strong, evil, or inhuman (which doesn't always equal demonic). I do these things and repeat them weekly until a priest, religious leader, or shaman can come and try to permanently remove the entity. I live in Texas, so cedar is easy to find and harvest, as you said, with an offering. The sage and other woods come from a family member who lives on reservation land in OK. He has it "blessed" by a local shaman or elder and sends it to me. There are other things I use in rituals or burn along with the sage and different types of wood, a few being stinging nettle, valerian root, skullcap leaves, red clover, and even lavender. This is not all I use, and I highly implore any beginners or novices to NOT go mixing things like these if you don't know what you are doing!!! The combinations of these natural tools can be extremely dangerous if used incorrectly. It takes YEARS of studying your specific tribal rituals in order to use them the correct way. Otherwise you could literally be inviting elementals with negative intent to come inhabit your space and wreak havoc. Also, it is important that the medium using these plants and rituals be pure of heart. Meaning, you were born with the gift of necromancy. Someone who just WANTS to be a medium and learns a few tricks can cause a lot of destruction and it can make them have severe health problems or get very sick. Even natural mediums who know the rituals can face extreme health issues. We have spirit guides that are probably THE MOST important tool for a medium/necromancer, like myself. Even if you have done something a hundred times and never had a bad experience, listen to your intuition. That intuition is your spirit guides warning you that something is wrong, or it is not what it appears to be (like a trickster) that can bring harm to you and the person you are trying to help. Long story short, don't pretend to be something you are not, don't mix plants/woods/seeds/ if you have no idea what you're doing (and trust me, trying to learn this on Google WILL probably kill you, or at the very least ensue chaos). Learn the materials of nature and make sure they are not harvested in a way that angers the spirits of that land. Also, learn the tribal rituals and ceremonies that are used with these natural sacred items. Every tribe has a unique way. If you ARE a tribal descendent and you do have a natural gift, please seek out information from YOUR tribe and at least learn the basics of self protection. A true medium is akin to a light in nothing but darkness. Spirits that cannot or will not "move on" can see your light and, like a moth to a flame, they will be drawn to you. Sometimes all they need is to tell their story or pass along a message before they move on. Others want attention, some feel guilt and want to hear that it's ok to move on, and then we have the ones that were quite evil in life and want to continue their sadistic ways in spirit. You really never know what kind of spirit you will encounter, for me, on a daily basis. And there are a few who simply want to stay here for a while and aren't harmful, so you learn to live with them. A few will choose to move on after a while. I rely on God, my spirit guides, and the knowledge I've learned from my tribe to protect myself. But nothing is 100% successful. There is just too much we don't know about death. I learn new things on a regular basis. I've never encountered a "skin walker" (most people in my tribe don't want to get into or talk about that sort of thing). But I have heard my own voice as well as my child's voice (they were not home at the time), so I do believe there is more to the paranormal world than many of us would normally believe or encounter. Anyways, that's my story and take on this video. Apologies for the novel I wrote, lol!
How does one learn the appropriate ways/combination to use them? I am from European decent, but I live in Arizona, and to me it seems fitting to use Native practices as I am on this land. I am not a medium, nor trying to rid evil spirits. What would you recommend?
Sage, the windex of energy cleaning products: Makes a space appear clean even when it's not. Congrats on 20k! Genuine, great vids. None of that pseudo-punk-paranormal junk.✌❤
Hey thanks for sharing…my cousin is an earth spiritualist and a friend asked her to cleanse her house and she said she didn't believe in just “evicting” something unless it was malevolent and I never understood that until your video. I'm gonna share it with her.
Yayyyyy! So glad to hear another topic about the correct and respectful & responsible way to do things. I’ve tried to tell people that Sage is like a tranquilizer for spirits. And that you do use it to follow up with sweet grass, Paulo santo, juniper or even rosemary.
i think what matters most in any magickal, relgiious and spiritual rituals: intent. that alone is powerful enough for using anything to perform a task spiritually. maybe initially smudging may not banish demons, but it may with intent
I remember my elder tried to explain this to me. I did smudge my mom's house when she passed away, though not to try and get rid of her spirit. I knew that wouldn't work, but I felt like it would help her find her way. How have I missed this channel though, I forgot a lot of my teachings over the years. Grandfather passed away before we could finish and was too young to go to the rez. Loved the video though
It's always puzzled me why so many folks insist on sage because from my perspective, sage has never done what a lot of non-indigenious people have attributed to it. The emptiness I felt after someone burned it honestly creeped me out, and the explanation they're asleep actually makes me feel better. I've always fumigated with mugwort, or a mix of juniper/rosemary/vervain, with as much collected locally, carefully, and with prayer as I can (the kind of vervain that is traditional in my birth region isn't native to this continent, so I'm figuring out the adaptation). But mugwort, and juniper/rosemary/vervain have always felt like they chase out the unwell beings while leaving the well unharmed, and I like that. Houses that feel *empty* creep me out.
I stopped using sage in this way a long time ago after noticing that it doesn't do much of anything to clear spirits, only stagnant or heavy energies. Now, I use it as more of an incense when doing personal ritual cleansing. I have great respect for the motherly spirit of salvia divinorum, who appears to me like a plant-insectoid-machinelike mandala, terrifying and yet so protective and caring for all beings. I recommend collecting sage personally as well. It's the same concept of "as above, so below". Materials gathered in respect for the source will ensure that loving energy will translate into its use. I had a strange experience when purchasing the very same type of mass-harvested California White Sage at my local occult shop a few years back. When I entered the store with intentions of getting the smudge stick, the door to the store opened again behind me as if by a gust of wind, but it wasn't a windy day. When I knelt to pick up the sage stick, which they had in a basket on the floor, (a disrespectful thing to do to herbs is to store them in a low place), a decorative box on an adjacent shelf flew off and hit the ground near me, and the store employees actually caught it on the security camera and posted it to their Facebook page. Either something attached to me didn't like the idea of smudging or a friendly spirit was warning me of the dangers in pissing off other spirits with it, not sure, but I took greater reverance to it from then on.
True that. Great video. Also, sometimes plants don’t want to be picked. It’s tricky business that’s why offering some tobacco like you said is always a good idea. I haven’t used sage since I was last at a Sundance and it was gifted to me by a dancer. After that it look me awhile to burn through it and use it.
I appreciate you spreading awareness and knowledge about this these are dark times and all of us need to prepare for the spiritual war that will become unveiled soon. I know you feel it too if you’re truly spiritual.
People have told me to burn sage over the years but I never felt it was right to use someone else's sacred tradition without knowing how it works even if its sold in stores. What I'd really like is some fresh sweetgrass, not to burn but just because the smell reminds me of my childhood it must have grown beside my grandfather's cottage, so long ago now😢
Happy twenty thousand 🎉 Thank you for this video, there’s so much misleading information out there I’ve often wanted to know the truth. You again have taught me so much and appreciate you for that.
People are always surprised when I don't use sage for banishment workings or as an "everything" herb like people claim rosemary to be also. I was taught by elders that sage is yes, for cleansing the self but also to use during prayer, and that smudging itself can also be an act of prayer. Miigwetch for this video ❤
After I came to Colorado, I picked sage, I use it for various reasons, I even tried to smoke it but it made me feel strange. It's nice to have access to it and I love the way it smells. 😸🌻🌲
I grow my own herbs, sage, bay leaves, mint etc. Always, pick stems needed & leave a healthy plant, ask permission, leave an offering & give thanks! When you grow your own, you tend it with your energy & care! Yup, for me it just puts evil in stasis, to give me time to bind them & deal with them! Use it when talking with ancestors & divining what is around me, use in a ritual bath, make teas etc. I try tell people, but they don't listen & carry on. Then I get a call " its come back worse, throwing things, scratching, sleep paralysis etc!" Yup!
I've often wondered what it would be like to be a more 'realistic' shaman, that can actually do real shaman stuff. but most books i've seen are from questionable writers and practitioners. I would love to see you do more videos about conventional, traditional shamanism from your culture.
Thank you for explaining this. So many things that are popular right now that are appropriated from other cultures and end up being misused entirely. 😬 Congrats on the 20k, and I look forward to more of your content.
Indigenous Australians have various ceremonies using eucalyptus smoke. It's fascinating that several cultures do this. I recently read that from a scientific perspective, sage smoke produced negative ions and was antimicrobial, literally cleansing the air.
Wiradjuri here, I love learning about the overlaps and differences in indigenous cultures worldwide! With eucalypts there are many different types and certain parts are used for certain purposes! And it varies from mob to mob. As an example I learned that ideally you should use older limbs where the leaves have been chewed through by insects, because they are safest and have a ‘sweeter’ scent. If a limb is untouched by insects and all the leaves are perfect, you shouldn’t touch it either. The new growth that is harvested commercially has quite an unpleasant smell like chemicals and sting your eyes, I don’t recommend it if you would like to actually enjoy the smoke haha. I want to share with others but sadly my own knowledge is full of gaps as a descendant of stolen generation. So it is beautiful that so many people are sharing online like Shanclen Shadow Productions ❤
@@toaddbitss9717 Yeah new growth is like mothballs, not suitable for eating at all! My favourite tree is Peppermint Gum. I grew up in Wollongong and spent some time living in Bomaderry, only 3 mins walk away from the first NSW home of the stolen generations. There is much sadness and anger held in the land and buildings there. And more than a couple of spirits who are tied there. I hope you will eventually get a greater connection to your community and gain more knowledge. Reach out to them, I'm sure an Aunty or Uncle will hear you at the right time. Channels like this one connect us all, and I agree, the overlaps are incredible.
I stopped smudging with sage shortly after seeing this video because I want to genuinely understand traditional practices and stories so that I may evoke that within myself❄️I’ll have to make a special trip sometime to get traditional sage. Thank you for the heads up💜
If sage makes spirits fall asleep, is there something to help wake them up? Here's my whole situation. I've always been told to use sage to bless/protect a household/ask the spirits to leave. Go to each corner of each room of the house wafting the sage with the intention, usually spoken out loud. My kids have a plastic Little Tykes toy kitchen that we found at a yard sale. It has an electronics board inside to make water boil or steak frying sounds. It worked as expected for my first son, but 22 months later with my second son when he started playing with it we discovered that Little Tykes uses the same electronic sound board in multiple toys because it has the capacity to produce a LOT of different sounds. Some creepier than others. Like a kids voice saying yummy or a high pitch whistle(not a tea kettle whistle). The kitchen would start playing sounds seemingly randomly. But when we couldn't get it to reproduce the sounds I noticed that the sounds lined up with events in the house. Like it would telephone ring then I'd get a phone call. It would knock and we'd get a visitor. It would say yummy during meal times. There was one day it just would NOT stop. Back to back sounds playing for hours. So I saged using the method I was told and i asked for any spirits not family related to leave. If you were family you could stay but anyone else had to go. I've not heard the kitchen since. It's been so quiet. Watching paranormal channels I've noticed the spirits telling "investigators" desperately to help and then getting scared by something near by. To me it seemed obvious that the spirit was using all it's energy it had to plea but stuck and then getting hurt by a big bad. (Specifically I'm thinking of Kris & Celina at the antique mall). It was frustrating to watch. Then I found your channel where I can learn real things. You did a video saying to be careful not to push a spirit out of the house since there could be something outside waiting to eat it. And now I'm just so upset with myself. I didn't want to hurt them. I just want my little tyke kitchen spirit back. I'm just a normie Midwest gal. I'm not a shaman or trained in any way so maybe I didn't have enough power to push them away? Maybe they are just sleeping? But people are also stronger than they think so maybe I do have the power and I did push them out? I wasn't thinking it through when I saged. I never felt threatened or like they were malevolent in any way. Any help would be much appreciated ❤️
UGh! Finally, someone who knows this. I'm not native American but I'm a psychic paranormal investigator and this bothered me all the time when people who think they know how to use something doesn't use it right. I always hated seeing other investigators utilizing sage especially as a protective way to cleanse the house and they put to sleep the actual protectors of the house and the demons wake up and they're like OH yeah, I can move now. I don't believe in good or bad demons or angels. I believe that we have both of them and each one is capable of doing evil. They're not assigned to anything specific. If I feel I need energy moved, I've even lit a candle and used the smoke from the candle after blowing it out to move energy. I've also used random incense cones to clear energy out and people have felt the same effects. I freaking loved the beginning. SO worth the editing! People like to think that demons be all big and rolled a 1 which is why he broke the bridge when he fell trying to reach Gandalf. Unfortunately, Gandalf failed his savings check and went down with the demon as well. Good thing he had some health potions on him other wise he wouldn't have come back as Gandalf the white. LOL!
Oh get a grip. Information is information why do you care about their race or skin colour? Do us all a favour and stop using silly made up phrases like bi poc. You sound ridiculous.
This is another great episode you have shared with everyone thank you for doing that and I know we're not supposed to share things like that as native Americans but awesome I believe that even the unearthing the supernatural I have learned so much from that thank you so much again and God bless you and your ceew
Thank you for making this. As a cree, when i watch people cleanse their houses with sage. They are doing it wrong. Therefore should not be a resort unless they know how to use it
I've tried growing my own for awhile, unfortunately I live in Florida and creating a dry enough environment is frustrating. I often just burn the incense when im feeling off or frustrated to calm my nerves. I absolutely love cedar, not just the smell is heavenly to me but when I do deeper meditation along with a few others are great.
I am white and had a bestfriend when I was 11 who was CREE. Her mother gave me my first smokebath and taught our class at school about how sage was a sacred medicine . She was also wiccan. I have only just started smudging with Sage and Palo Santo about eight years ago. Sage makes me feel " lighter " but Palo Santo actually feels to cleanse the space and become a protective force field inviting in only higher / benelovent energies . I love to use sage to bless my home . I rather palo santo to protect my home . I will make my own sweetgrass braids when I grow my own as well as use mugwort , bay leaf , cedar , juniper and ive also done dragons blood and sage smudges . The best form of protection is prayer and creating a forcefield of white or golden light . ❤
Congratulations on 20k! Your channel is one of my favorites. I've learned so much from you, and I got super excited when I noticed you'd uploaded something new. Thank you so much for sharing all of this information with us. ❤
Good stuff man, ill let my tiktok channel know about you, your words are true and direct. I long gave up the social media, and talking about skinwalkers and the other world. Even some about the monsters but i am very broad on them.
Congratulations on 20K. Great channel, brother. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and educating the few that will truly listen and understand. Peace out.
Smudging worked for me and my sister years ago in this one apartment we were living in BUT it would only work for about three months and then the activity and dreams would start to pick up again .... then we'd smudge again. Never had an outburst or a massive problem , just gave us a three month window of calm and peace. We were shown by a plains traditional man who was a friend and also had a holy person come over and she put cedar at all four corners of our building. Honestly I felt like it was effective in the way we used it. I can't remember if all of the activity just stopped after the cedar. It may have calmed down.
*_Okay, that intro was hysterical, Lol. Great video, I never knew about the "putting them to sleep" aspect of smudging, but it does make sense. Keep up the good work, Man!_*
@@ShanclenShadowProductions Same here, Man, the channel looks good. Would it be alright to send you an email or a DM tomorrow? Sort of an invitation, wanted to see if you're interested.
I use sage to change the scent of my environment and it has a smell that is calming when unburnt. I boil it in water like potpourri. I keep my sage in a refrigerator. I was taught by a medicine man that the smoke from the sage is used to detect other entities around the area by watching where the smoke travels to in a area with no air movement. It swirl giving a hint too
The last house I lived in was haunted. They would tell me it’s their house I tell I’m just renting, I would play death metal music really loud and the house would leave me alone. I even told the ghost off because I was gaming
Thank you very much for the information about how to use sage and what it can and cannot do. This is very useful information for me. I love your channel. I'm always interested about different cultures and spiritual are a very big part of one's culture.
Thank you for this video!! I also hate seeing people using many things the wrong way!! Sage among if there things are just that tools. When used wrongly they do not work well. I personally know from experience that fighting demons is no easy feat. But I am unusually able to not only fight them off but to get them to not be in a home or property anymore. My first fight was about 11 yrs old. And found they end up having to do what I say. I have learned I am very strong in protecting and that is mainly where my “power” comes from. Again thank you and May the Gods watch over, protect and bless you and yours!!
lmaoo that intro goesss loved it. wonderful helpful intro, i honestly didnt know about the proper use as far as activating it ceremoniously from harvesting to the use, it makes sooo much more sense tho. and ofcourse love the bloopers.
Man, thank you for this video. I never comment on other people's videos about smudging and banishing and all of that because I hate arguing. You've hit the nail right on the head with this and it's good to see people that know what they're talking about making videos. haha There's a lot of misinformation out there these days.
Thanks so much for informing us. I once bought some sage from a metaphysical shop that I used to use to clear bad energy. But after doing more research, I realized if I did use sage, I shouldn't get it that way and have been using other methods to cleanse my house. Wasn't aware that it just puts the spirits to sleep! Think I will just stick with my other methods now after finding out this information.
I love to Sage. I love to eat it too. Can you talk about Palo Santa next. I use that and sage together to calm my house and my Ancestors down. Spirts are always around me, so I like to keep them calm and happy.
I still have a pretty much full bundle of sage gifted to me by an ex like 9 years ago who went picking with the tribes in California, his friend is a sun dancer and very active in his communities. It drives me nuts when people abuse sage. I tell them to stop smudging every time they fart weird or do yoga, and that sage is strong medicine not to be used so frivolously. I also tell them not to buy stolen/hurt medicine like that, to grow it themselves or get it from tribes directly. I treasure my gifted sage and cedar smudge stick (gifted by a Diné friend).
Thanks for the great info! I shared it on Facebook. It was nice to see that my intuition was right inline with what you were saying. Congrats on the 20k!
I saw this interesting video on Depths of Despair where a man was lighting sage in his haunted domicile and placing an egg on the floor. He attempted this twice and each time he would finish, he cracked the egg and this vomit-smelling black liquid would come out of the egg and the spirit became more active.
I remember at my old apartment that had multiple spirits there. My gf and I had two cats Lucy and mew. One day we came home and after a few minutes found Mew hiding under the bed. Lucy was normal. Multiple times I went to pick up mew and whenever I took her near my dining room corner area specifically, she would claw herself out of my arms and go back under the bed. After that I pulled up an Indian mantra for dispelling bad spirits and saged the entire unit. After I did that Mew came out from under the bed and was fine again. That was one of the few encounters I had with spirits in that building. When we first got our keys and went to walk into our apartment for the very first time I look down and in front of our door was a dead mother bird with her baby standing right over her chirping and crying. Right then I knew we were in for some shit. And boy were we.
A-HO! My father basically told me the exact same things, so I KNOW you speak from a true heart and that you can be listened to. Thank you for these teachings, keep on the good path and may your days be long and happy brother.
I was really unsure if burning sage when not indigenous was disrespectful. I always get my own sage from the mountains. Never pulling the roots, leaving behind as much as possible. We have sage also growing in our garden and my husband loves to make sage tea. Thank you for this.
Smudging is also a part of Finnish tradition. We use juniper to cleanse and bless houses and animal shelters. And if you need to get rid of something really nasty - and make sure that it won't come back, you use Rowan (leafs, berries or ash).
Good to know,thanks
I was always curious if we had smudging.... thank you for the information!
Rowan you say. Thank you I’m going to need that very soon
Humans have forgotten that demons have no authority over them. That mindset alone has been helpful for myself and family.
Humans have forgotten evil exists, and as a result authority left the chat
Laughing at/about demons really pisses them off. They dont want us to know, they are limited.
@@calistafalcontail absolutely does, posted the same comment somewhere else lol
Especially when you know or find out the d's name it has no power over you so I have read.

I grow my own white sage and this past year was an incredible year for seeds which means I will be growing as many plants as I can to share. It’s an incredible plant.
That is amazing. Do you send seeds to people who would like to grow their own?
I live in SC and have been trying to grow sage for years I had sage for 2 years in a row and it got mowed down and killed haven't been able to get it to grow since. Not give ng up though
Where did you get the seeds from? I want my own
Seeds don't have incredible years. Seeds are produced every year from viable plants.
My great granny was Blackfoot

Will do!

Can you tell us what other herbs can remove demons/ evil spirits besides sweet grass? Pls
What did you use before this happened to you?
..mb you inhaled it by accident
That's what happens when you inhale to much of it over a long time, happened to me before
Like the others here, you breathed in too much. Ain’t no dark presence I’m afraid.
It is a very good day when you upload , thank you
You say that so beautifully, you speak for us all. Thank you.
The vibration of those scents will conjure specific entities. Each scent carry notes like music notes.
@bunnybrown809
In that same line of thought, specific scents can be used to drive out spirits.

Similar practices are found in IFÁ, Santeria and Palo Mayombe
Santeria and IFÁ do this in general but very heavy when you start doing more work with the orisha Osain (O-Sane).
@@macwinter7101 no I actually heard it hun and you weren't there so please don't insult me.
very cool
This woman's spirit was still definitely there; she didn't seem angry or malicious, but very sad.
thats so sad
@blink_5019 Honestly, I would recommend finding a Shaman or tribal elder who is associated with the tribe that occupied that specific land/area.
@@THEgothicqueen1882 good idea!

Yeah smudging is like pepper spraying an bear, it doesn't do shyt
Hey thanks for sharing…my cousin is an earth spiritualist and a friend asked her to cleanse her house and she said she didn't believe in just “evicting” something unless it was malevolent and I never understood that until your video. I'm gonna share it with her.
We love you. Keep schooling us in the correct ways. We need a guide. Thank you for filling this position.
If you’re reading this, I hope you have nice day, a blessed day 😊
It's always puzzled me why so many folks insist on sage because from my perspective, sage has never done what a lot of non-indigenious people have attributed to it.
Rosemary and mugwort are my go-to herbs for smudging too! I get the bundles from a local apothecary ... or my spice cabinet. *shrugs* Use what ya got.
What I'd really like is some fresh sweetgrass, not to burn but just because the smell reminds me of my childhood it must have grown beside my grandfather's cottage, so long ago now😢
😂, finally, thank you❤
Commercializing our sacred medicine Sage is the medicine of all Sacred medicinal plants "respect it"! People! 🎉
Happy twenty thousand 🎉
Thank you for this video, there’s so much misleading information out there I’ve often wanted to know the truth.
Learning this NOW😅
After I came to Colorado, I picked sage, I use it for various reasons, I even tried to smoke it but it made me feel strange.
Thank you for the heads up💜
Thank you 🍃
If sage makes spirits fall asleep, is there something to help wake them up?
LOL!
In the Norse tradition that I'm apart of uses candle light to light the home and corners of the home to bless.
Shout for their finally being some Bi-poc representation for paranormal discussions. I always talk about how their is such a lack of representation.
Oh get a grip. Information is information why do you care about their race or skin colour? Do us all a favour and stop using silly made up phrases like bi poc. You sound ridiculous.
Norse shamans also have used sage and other woods 🪵 to cleans . Bless your gingerbread heart 😊
Hey thanks for putting this information out there!
This is another great episode you have shared with everyone thank you for doing that and I know we're not supposed to share things like that as native Americans but awesome I believe that even the unearthing the supernatural I have learned so much from that thank you so much again and God bless you and your ceew
You are doing such a good job. Thank you
Thank you for making this.
Thank you for all the information you share.
Yeah that’s not how that works.. ha ha best movie ever! Thank you
Thank you for this information.
Something new to know, ty❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the heads up about sage.
Sage is a cleasing of energies

I'm so glad your page popped up for me! Thanks for the education and awareness.
Love how your explainng about spiritual.

I learned how to smudge from my friends great great grandmother, many years ago, she was choctaw..
Loved the bloopers also BTW, too funny
You are awesome my man.
All the thanks
Thank you for sharing. I definitely had some misconceptions about sage and smudging.
Ghost better know they can’t mess with your KD! Haha✊🏽
Thank you very much for the information about how to use sage and what it can and cannot do. This is very useful information for me. I love your channel. I'm always interested about different cultures and spiritual are a very big part of one's culture.
I also picked my sage when i was home in S.D. thanks for clearing these misconceptions up. Thats the way my uncle taught me

Great man thank you
I was gifted sage as a housewarming gift by an indigenous friend, so i felt ok using it. boy. I set my smoke alarms off. The bad anergy was ME
Very helpful thanks
Thank you for this video!! I also hate seeing people using many things the wrong way!! Sage among if there things are just that tools. When used wrongly they do not work well. I personally know from experience that fighting demons is no easy feat. But I am unusually able to not only fight them off but to get them to not be in a home or property anymore. My first fight was about 11 yrs old. And found they end up having to do what I say. I have learned I am very strong in protecting and that is mainly where my “power” comes from. Again thank you and May the Gods watch over, protect and bless you and yours!!
Just found your site, so interesting! thank you I learned a lot 🇨🇦

I love learning and this is why i subbed. Thanks for the knowledge.
Man, thank you for this video. I never comment on other people's videos about smudging and banishing and all of that because I hate arguing. You've hit the nail right on the head with this and it's good to see people that know what they're talking about making videos. haha There's a lot of misinformation out there these days.
Well done. May you continue to grow and succeed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻🌹
Thank you 😊
Thanks so much for informing us.
Watching this has cleared up a lot of things for me. Thank you ❤
I love to Sage.
Good to know about Cedar... Love Sweetgrass! Blessings! 💟🖖🏽💖
Thank you
Thanks for the great info! I shared it on Facebook. It was nice to see that my intuition was right inline with what you were saying. Congrats on the 20k!
I use palo santo to focus on gratitude and help me understand all I need to understand.
Congratulations & thank you for speaking for the plants.
Congratulations 🎊 🎉
Love palo santo. Thats what i use the most
I saw this interesting video on Depths of Despair where a man was lighting sage in his haunted domicile and placing an egg on the floor.
Thank you for the insight!
A-HO! My father basically told me the exact same things, so I KNOW you speak from a true heart and that you can be listened to. Thank you for these teachings, keep on the good path and may your days be long and happy brother.
Wow! Now I understand why my daughter didn't get rid of some entity/ies that were bothering her. She uses sage but after a while they come back.
I was really unsure if burning sage when not indigenous was disrespectful. I always get my own sage from the mountains. Never pulling the roots, leaving behind as much as possible. We have sage also growing in our garden and my husband loves to make sage tea. Thank you for this.
