Batu Caves holds a very special place in the hearts of Indian tourists out of many popular tourist attractions in Malaysia. The main attraction of Batu Caves - the Batu Caves Temple, also known as Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple - is one of the most important Hindu shrines outside of India and attracts devotees from both the local and international Hindu community. The iconic golden statue of the Hindu deity Murugan stands at the entrance of Batu Caves. Believe it or not, with a height of 140 feet, it is the world's tallest statue of Murugan and a significant landmark.

Batu Caves is also renowned for hosting the annual Thaipusam festival, one of the most significant Hindu festivals in Malaysia. During this event, devotees undertake a pilgrimage to the temple, often carrying kavadis (ornate frameworks) as acts of devotion and penance.
Batu Caves attracts a large number of tourists and visitors due to its cultural, religious, and natural significance. Its proximity to Kuala Lumpur makes it easily accessible, making it a popular day trip destination.
