Absolute clutch videos! Had this dishwasher for about 4 years and it started flashing an 'LE' error. Check the pump motor, and sure enough, completely rusted. Nasty. Replaced pump motor, sump and gasket (Was leaking around the sump). Took about a week for the parts to get here. LG wanted to charge me $125, just to come out and anywhere from $75-$150 for labor!! It only took cost me $120 for the new parts and a week of hand washing dishes. Scott, you are a life saver. I have NO experience in appliances what-so-ever. This is such an easy tutorial. If you have and LG and get an LE code, watch this video!!! Thanks so much Scott!

Richard, where did you find all the parts: pump motor, sump and gasket for $120? ... I got the same run around as you did by LG. Never buying another LG product.. Thanks in advance

Tried replacing just the motor at first, after a squeaky motor led to LE code. New motor ran well for a week and then same code again but this time I noticed the connector that connects to the motor also looked slightly burnt, with burning electrical smell. Next logical step was to replace the sump assembly and wouldn’t have felt okay attempting it if it wasn’t for your video!
My heart sank when the first video ended midway! Located the part II and got back at it.
Just got done running the maiden cycle after the transplant and so far so good! We will see how long we get out of this.

I have a brand new dishwasher never use and getting LE error, how do i fix that
Might be good to use the warranty to get it fixed.
I’m getting the ‘ LE ‘ error message during cycle but on test the dishwasher drains just fine. No loud noises from motor or pump. Why does the dishwater drain on test but on cycle drain it will begin to drain and stop before emptying the entire basin? Thank you .
The LE error means you need to replace the rotor position sensor on the main motor.
Pretty cheap part.
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Can you elaborate on this? My drain motor is working fine in test mode, but it does not appear to drain during cycle. Runs for a bit and then gives me the LE error and water is still standing in the dishwasher. I was looking for the rotor position sensor referenced, but can't find such a part. my lg is lds5040st. Thanks.

Is it what LG call inverter direct drive motor?
I just replaced the motor ran fine through two full cycles then it stopped again with KE code.
I think water is leaking down through the seal that the motor shaft goes through and causing the LE error.
The way to fix it is to replace the entire sump assembly which gives you a new motor shaft seal.
