I still keep one around as well. My employer was going to scrap it. I got tv for free. TV has component, s-video, and composite ports on back and a composite port on front.
I have the Gekko and my problem is that the picture & audio will not show through an HDMI switcher. It will work with a direct connection to the monitor though.
Translate text with your camera Yesterday, I bought a gun for a Dreamcast device. I connected the gun to a device and turned on the old TV, but the gun did not work. Only the buttons on the gun worked. What's the solution my friend
True good option, whatever works for you! But be aware that a AV2HDMI converter takes the composite video signal from the consoles so the quality is the lowest possible. It's much better to have something that converts RGB or VGA. Or at least S-Video!
Terrible idea. HDMI is a digital signal. Ideally you want the pure digital signal from the console (usually you need a mod, or for the Gamecube you can use the digital out port). The AV2HDMI is just converting a shitty analog composite signal to digital. No good.
Sega Dreamcast basically had Sony beat by about a year or so. Sega just didn't understand that 20 year olds like me were starting to realize that it was the games on a console... not the console, that made the console important. Sony understood though. A game like Max Payne should have been on Dreamcast at some point, but it just wasn't. No one today can understand how much of a value the Dreamcast felt either compared to having to buy a very expensive PC. $200 for arcade game quality Dreamcast vs spending $2500-$3000 for a higher end PC in 2000 money. The Capcom fighting games all were perfect by then. It was a tremendous time. And we're not going to have one ever again.
awesome video. just picked myself up a gekko yesterday, can't wait for it!
Thanks! Thats great you are going to like it!🎮🎮
Great video m8, keep up the good work.💪
Super nice video so thankful.
Thanks!🙏
have you tried the retrotink 4k? it makes me want to get rid of my crt lol
Its on my list, but a bit too expensive! It will never replace my CRT but the RetroTink 4K looks like the definitive version of a upscaler!
@@allgenerationsgamer Get the OSSC Pro. For the price theres no better upscaler
I have another hdmi converter but it's not work on all games!
I hope this one works I want to play RE CODE VERONICA 😭
That's correct RE Code Veronica is one those games that doesn't support VGA. Are you using a disc or GDEMU?

I use retrotink 2x scart for almost all retro consoles, exept n64 and NES, because they dont output RGB.
Same here!
For retro consoles, I prefer CRT televisions. In my opinion, it looks more natural, so to speak.
Nem todo mundo tem esse trambolho de tv em casa, então acho que é uma boa opção

Agree on that!

Is your HDMI switcher powered by a external adapter or does it use the power from the input HDMI? That could be the problem
@ gets power from external.
Isn't it fun to be older and own all this shit

You can use AV2HDMI converter for many retro game consoles😊
