Such a clarity to lot of my questions about German cars. I own a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta AT. Has run 236000kms. No issues for the last 6 years. Had periodically done scheduled services, but was strange about parts replacements. Understood why so now. Thank you so much. Now have a replacement of EGR and oil sumps now.. costing a bomb. Based out in Bangalore, wanting to check and seek advise from MR. Karthik. Looking forward to seek what to be done. How to reach him directly ?
German cars are a money draining pit. This BMW X5, with just 50K km on ODO is a standing example. You can never expect this to happen in a Japanese car
Thats bcz Japanese cars are designed to take more beatings & german cars are designed to wear out at a particular odo.

Till last minute 0 information shared. So finally what is that you told sir?. Do you recommend staying away from German cars or stick on to Japanese cars. Think about people from tier 2 cities, do we have to visit chennai every time to service cars.?. OBD is provided for every one to understand the existing problem in their cars. Just doing a straight forward scan on all modules might not alone make a professional diagnosis. Need to be a serious expert, Very difficult to find those now a days.

Unprofessional guy don't believe BMW is a German prestigious car maker they never make any poor quality cars don't consult the guy. If you know want more about BMW CAR reviews watch UK reviews or American reviews and also this guy mentioned about staring rack problems personally I never see staring rack problems in BMW cars , just reset settings in software the problems solved

It is possible to replicate german car spares, but, since not many german cars and no demand, no body wants to replicate it. Comparing Japanese vs German on quality is lame, Toyota cars are the best quality cars and no German brand able to meet their quality standard eg. Lexus. Remember volswagon is a mass market car from German. So, it is not true that German cars are only for elite. In Luxury segment, only Benz is somewhat reliable, BMW, AUDI are all crap after 5 years. Never buy these cars unless you are willing to spend a fortune on its maintenance.
