- Tim Smith joined the ladies of That's What She Said to talk about Gettysburg's most famous female, Jennie Wade. After they sign off, I left the audio in as they take questions from our First Lieutenants who watched the recording session.
I have been going to Gettysburg for over 30 years and been to the Jenny Wade house a handful of times and I visit her grave at every visit to Gettysburg. I took my granddaughter to the Jenny Wade house a few years ago and she is now fascinated with Jenny, so I bought her a book on Jenny for Xmas and that made her day
Tim is right about first seeing him after watching multiple videos of him. I was on an inaugural trip with group of guys from Ohio, and we were sitting at Sweeneys beer garden , inside the hut, and lo and behold, the amazing Tim Smith was right there pouring a pitcher of Yngling, and like a weirdo, I said "wow, there he is", Tim shook off my weirdness and we ended up doing impromptu movie trivia, non civil war, which he seemed to appreciate. Great show gals.
Tim is a local treasure.
This was so much fun! Loved it!
I hope you guys are able to do more podcasts they are excellent
The ladies have discussed it and it’s a goal of ours in 2025. Happy you enjoy it
Love this series. Most women that died in childbirth, died from childbed fever which is an infection from unclean hands.
Hey Tim the avenue rest . Was my favorite rest .and one of my insurance customers and many more folks I Gettysburg ! 😂
When I was in Gettysburg for 160, Tim walked past me on Baltimore Street and I shook my husband and I said, “I know him!”
Direct quote from Jenny Wade right before she was killed "These G'dam Rebels have opened fire on my house"
Question: why do so many people these misprounce Gettysburg? The proper pronunciation is GettISburg.
Because we never went to GettIH gas
