"You won't find a donor that's perfect but you can find one that's close" Really, that's life in general! I couldn't have children naturally so my husband and I decided to adopt..unfornunately, it was a closed adoption state so we can't have contact with siblings or the birthmom. I LOVE that you can be in contact with your daughters siblings!!! That's just amazing!!

It is a blessing that she will meet her siblings and be able to communicate with the donor once she’s 18 if she wants to. It's all about how you present it to your child. If you make it a big deal that they won't ever know their siblings, they will probably grow up feeling like they've missed out. But, the fact is you and your husband are the parents. Blood doesn't make a family, love does.

Great Video! We are starting IUI and have donor sperm from Fairfax. Quick little correction for those still searching: Fairfax DOES have adult photos for some of their donors. You can filter for donors with adult photos. Our donor had an adult photo and baby photos. Finding a black donor was one of the most stressful parts of our search because we didn't want to feel like we were settling. We were lucky enough to find a very handsome black donor who checked all our boxes. Good Luck to those on the journey! :)

I’m a heterosexual woman looking to do Artificial insemination bc i want another child and i don’t see myself getting married again ! The Fairfax cryo bank is much closer to me bc I’m definitely going to go with CCB bc i want to see what he looks like as an adult ! It’s just confusing bc how do you know which race to choose 🤷🏾♀️

We are looking at Seattle Sperm Bank... anything else that you found positive or negative about that bank?
Ky Riley honestly, the only negatives that I have are that they do not have many African American options and you only can see baby pictures. But, the price is on the cheaper side and the customer service reps were very friendly and helpful

no problem!!! it is very hard finding a AA donor who is handsome and who isn't short lol. But, we did IUI for Zorie and we are going to be doing RIVF for the second pregnancy!

I always thought it was cool, I actually know a guy that’s very handsome, 6’4 and very sweet. I would be so scared to ask him, I know him. So i think it would be better if I found someone I knew so that they could have a relationship, yes I heard AA donors unknown are so hard especially if they’re not cute and short as hell. I have a few in mind, but one truly sticks out I might talk to him about it soon. Probably in the next 3-5 years.🥺❤️ wish me luck, wishing you luck as well.

Thank you for watching! They do store the vials for a fee. We opted for the annual fee until we completed our family. We had our 2nd child last year and we discontinued our storage since we are done having children.
Was there any paper work from your doctors that was asked for???
Yes! CCB needs your doctors office to sign some paperwork in order for them to send the specimen to your fertility clinic.
My doc just told me i need to get preggo asap if i want babies. In a new relationship and hope he stays around. Not sure what his fertility status is. But happy to have found this information.

I'm 6'6 and interested in becoming a donor, can you do a video on the facts and misconception about donating sperm, and your opinion on some good sperm banks to research?
I don’t know much about the actual process of sperm donation but I know different sperm banks have different criteria. (I.e. college graduates versus students etc).. but I can definitely do some research and post!

Not all of CCB donors have adult photos and there are many Fairfax donors with adult photos. It’s been that way for awhile. I think you just have to pay for the individual adult photos that’s the only difference.

If you are single w/o a man, don't have kids. Work on yourself first before bringing a child into the world.
If you are with a dude that can't make it happen for medical reasons; get a ring FIRST. Then have him ask his brother, male family member, etc etc for the donor material. It's going to be harder for him to leave if there's an actual blood line bond.

You assume that we have ent tried this and down the work. Sometimes you do the work on yourself and still end up single and wanting to have kids and running out of time. Don’t judge others if you haven’t been dealt that hand.
