Idealized Fracture (Fully-Resolved (IBM) LIGGGHTS+OpenFOAM)

This animation shows the transportation of proppant (particles) in a vertical converging channel (idealized fracture).
This simulation was resulted by a 4-way coupling, fully resolved model (immersed boundary method (IBM)) of the CFDEM code (coupled LIGGGHTS and OpenFOAM) where the interactions of particles on flow were fully captures.
