      Amazon employees as you are out on your route and you see an ups driver doing the same thing you are doing and delivering the same package. Stop and just ask that person how much is there pay insurance cost union dues and how much of a pension are they looking to receive when retirement. Then ask yourself why did I not stand with my other workers for just that one day.
      That one day you missed in pay probably would’ve been made up for in one week under union pay. Please don’t be fooled by the corporate greed you have made them rich
      Think about yourself and your family.

    • @JAYP.616
      @JAYP.616 Месяц назад

      Cap! The strike should be taken to their DSPs. There’s no such thing as “short breaks” when you get, just as many warehouse businesses, 30 minutes unpaid and another 30 minutes paid! You can accrue 80hrs off Unpaid time off, 48hrs off PTO actual, and if I’m not mistaken up to 96hrs accrual off vacation time. Seasonal workers and new full time workers start at $20, day shift and receive a night shift premium. When COVID first hit, If you were positive, you received 2 weeks of pay. Aetna is the benefit provider one of thee best providers. No other warehouse industrial company has given the raises we’ve received. If you’re an FC AA and you joined in this strike, you’re misinformed and misled. If you drive for a DSP contractor, you stole those routes from Flex drivers who are making more than you back in 2018/19 to be hired by your independent contractor who doesn’t want to give you benefits and not micromanage you! Strike them.

    Amazon’s wages-like $30 an hour-may sound high, but when you compare it to how much profit the company makes, it’s not necessarily generous. Plenty of other companies treat their employees better while making far less money. We, as workers and citizens in the United States, need to stand together and fight for fair labor practices and decent working conditions. Key word here "WORKING CONDITIONS" when you gotta pack or unload x amount of boxes per an hour, 12 hours a day. and scan something every 15 seconds or risk getting some kind of write up if you don't and you expect people to settle on that same amount of pay during the holidays when precious" peak seasons" come around and that work load is suddenly doubled? this usually results in some kind of "Gift card" reward straight up absurd. Luckily I work at a job where they at least KNOW peoples limits with the limited team they're given once temp hiring seasons are over.

    I believe when anyone strikes their pay and benefits should be posted and made public knowledge. They never do this. To many unskilled laborers think they should own the companies. Just like the port strike come to find out they were already making great pay but wanted more. Sometimes it’s greed of the employees and not just the company. Is this the case here? Or do they already have decent benefits and decent pay for skill level?

      @ I think you’re out of touch with reality and responsibility. Neither mopping nor toilet cleaning requires a college degree, that’s unskilled labor that anyone can do. How is $22 an hour not enough unless your super wasteful or super extravagant one. That’s $3520 a month gross at 8 hours a day 5 days a week. That’s 42,240 a year for unskilled labor. That’s pretty darn good. If you want more money find a skill set that everyone can’t do. Don’t even yell about taxes when most everyone gets a full refund or more back at this level. Or is the refund a wild wasteful spending spree?
