Blue Topaz vs. Aquamarine

I have heard that in the past topaz was mistaken for diamond because of its toughness and called yellow or blue diamonds instead. I always liked that story because topaz 8s my birth stone and diamonds were clear and boring. But it's cool learning about some of this other stuff
