Forever one of my favorite ballads, so heart-wrenching. "Okuribi" is what a ceremonial bonfire is called, to see off spirits. This song was performed at their 「平成挽歌」 2004.4.23 Shibuya O-East concert.
Translation by me.
Annotations:
"Seeing you off" - This is also an expression for burying someone, but I wanted to keep the literal wording because it sounds more poetic.
"To part from those who won't come home" - "Those who won't come home" is once again an expression for deceased people, but I stayed literal to not lose the poetic sound of this expression.
"I'll never forget you" - Ruki very slightly changed this line in this performance to emphasize it, kind of like going from the original "I won't forget you" to "I'll never forget you".
