Man I remember listening to this in high school back in 2011, Hopsin was underground AF back then, I couldn't imagine back then this getting 7.5 mil views ever
Man..it's so weird to see how far this dude's come in the last three years..if you've been following him since Raw it's a bittersweet moment to see where he's at now and where he was. What a difference a year or two can make!
+Todd Fee (Table Tennis Central) If you do not like SwizZz's voice, then you do not listen to hip hop for its content. SwizZz is a great lyricist and has a rad flow. At first I was not a fan of his voice but he still gave him a chance because of his skill and I realized how awesome he is.
+Cole Rickman lol you're completely miss interpreting my statement. in that statement I never said I didn't like swizzz or not liking his voice. I was just stating that if people don't like swizzz's voice then they never heard of Danny Brown, which means Danny Brown compared to swizzz sounds like a crack head. so you need to chill fam lol
Todd Fee I was not talking about you, Haha. I know what you said and what you meant. I was just talking about the group of people who only judge him solely off of his voice and not his talent.
@@Heybrother458i know this is old but rating lyrical ability through syllables is like measuring a camera by megapixel count. It can be an indicator of literacy, but in the case of this video, i did an excellent job at sending a well worded message seeing through the superciciality abd being labeled as insane in a world that is insane by itself
probably one of my favorite collabs by them. hopsin portraying the embodiment of what so many claim hip hop is, and swizzz going off about how fake that shit is and the complications real emcees face when trying to go against them for recognition and acknoweldgement. entertainers, actors, pure laughter, couldn't of phrased it any better
yeah the song is much deeper than i think it gets credit for and it will always be relevant in that regard, and outcasts aware of the realities of the world being labeled as insane or different for not conforming when it's the other way around.
this song is one of the most important songs in hip hop history, this song marked the beginning of a new era. no amount of praise would give it justice.
I swear every single time I go back to listen to something past 5 years old, there's some dude in the comments like "who's still here this year?" Watch the views climb dummy, they don't ever stop
"They're entertainers, actors, PURE LAUGHTER." It's nice to have Funk Volume, Logic, Mackelmore, and the few others that really care about the art of Hip Hop. Thanks for keeping it alive, and sending great messages to our generation
I love Swizz and Hopsin. Most dope rappers I've yet to hear. Diabolic is also pretty sick. Super pumped for Hopsins new album, wish he'd already release that shit ! Pound syndrome
Wow. I cannot describe how truly brilliant you are. As well as your feelings in this fucked up society. I feel the energy pulsating through my veins listening to you speak the things that I don't have the skill to put into rhythm and rhyme but I feel it and your words are the truth. The whole funk volume crew is immaculate with messages that people need to open. I wish everyone could be exposed to your crew's words through music. They would have such a different perspective on the whole "rap game" because you just decimated and reestablished everyone's reality in magnificent ways I didn't think were possible. Thank You.
Hopsin and SwizZz you guys are crazy in this video. I wanna be just like you Hopsin. You are the best rapper alive. You are my freaking hero Hop. You are crazy in some songs. I like that because I am crazy. Any can tell me to stop listening to your music but I'm so addicted to your songs. I wanna be just like you Hopsin. Did I say already?? Good I want all of you people to know. Piece. ✌
This is the most dope track I've heard in such a long time, What you're doing with hiphop and your lyrics is fucking amazing. I'm so happy there's a popular artist out there who is legit. fuck oath
Brandon Luce His hop has now turned into braggadocio jewels, money, drug dealing rhymes etc. aka the "lucipher effect" - perfect example is Rick Ross. Now the dudes rapping real things dont get the props and money they deserve, so it puts them in a difficult predicament, real lyricists end up dumbing down their rhymes for the sake of sales, also know as selling out or "selling your soul".
Brandon Luce sort of a catch 22 situation, you get into hip hop to express your true self, but if you do that you cant make a living, so do you sell out to make a living thereby going against what you believe in?
Brandon Luce I thought that was quite obvious in the video and with the lyrics, so I'm not sure if your question was sincere, either way....its answered.
Mervz Biggz @ catch 22. i don't think you have to make a living as a hip hop artist. Being a musician is a hobby; it's fun, that is incentive enough for many people. I think it is unfortunate that most people don't value rappers that speak truth and glorify greed, but it's a good sign that enough people value Hopsin and Swizz that they can make a living doing what they do.
I think the reason why people don't like SwizZz and Hopsin is because they tell stuff like it is. If you listen to some of the Ill mind of Hopsin songs those are some pretty real songs. I like that they are legit and honest rappers
I'm getting really tired of people who know very very little about hip hop and its culture comparing every rapper they hear and think is good to eminem
yep and hopsin never got paid after wards thats why now he has his own not lable but umm somthing like a single to where he makes one song everyonce in a while
+MikeTheNoob yeah, swizzz has released like 6 songs this year, one of which is called automatic where he seriously voices his opinions on hop. Not to mention all of his songs have a little shade thrown at hop. Hopsin said the herespected his opinion though.
mike smith I love swizzy's voice. It's unique and adds to the near horror core type of vibe to a majority of there songs. Also uniqueness is something needed in the game.
Sergiu Cazac Sorry about that. Im just annoyed because every one thinks eminem should be number 1 and his style is similar to every ones. Im just saying his fan base is ride eminem too hard.
as a long time fan I'm putting this message out there incase somehow he sees it. Come do this gems in Nova Scotia Canada. Huge Huge Market for this style!
8 years later, Swizzz's album still hasnt dropped
Nah but he's been dropping a few singles recently. So there might be something coming.
He found a way out :)
10 years now
Dammit Dame.
AwpWilliams single handedly killed funk volume

I got on board in 2011 as well. My friend said he'd blow.
still is dude.. most people at the gas station still don't know hopsin
Sameee lol I was a junior in HS at that time. I always come back.
He said as far as im concerned you're dead, live with it. I luv it
Gonna miss the Swizzz - hopsin connection, always liked them in a duo
alpha6570 why they “breaking up”?
Very autistic pepe because swizzz brother dame stole from Hopsin in their old label funk volume and swizzz is taking dame’s side
@@bobbyblair4105 that's his brother what do you expect
this song is one of hop's and swizzz' best
Naw I like how u Like me now
SwizZz's voice is an acquired taste. I personally didn't like it at first but in time I started to like it.
I like that it’s different. It’s interesting in a good way imo
2021 let's go, I should've started living my life when this first dropped.. 12 years of watching life pass by

Damnn swizz is a better lyricist than i thought..
How? He only rhymed more than 2 syllables once, and that was at the end of the song where he rhymed 3 once. Lol mumble rappers rhyme 2 syllables
it sucks that he got addicted to meth, he could have had a great career.
@@Heybrother458 he still good tf

Best song in the rap game. No entertainer, laughter or pure actor is better.
I wish I was in a position to revive Invader Zim and have Swizz voice him
now i can't unhear it... but it's still RAW
12 years later and this is still a banger 🔥‼️ Hop you are goated idc what anyone gotta say💯‼️ you the reason I’m an artist today 💯
